Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

We like you just the way you are, if that's any help. Smile

Not2bObvious · 27/07/2018 06:59

How’s everyone feeling ahead of the weekend, of course that only matters if week ends are a problem area. I’ve cut down on the 🍷 drastically and it’s been a great help, for 3 weeks before my hols and now 3 weeks after I’m down to 1-2 glasses once or twice. Has definitely helped get the weight loss moving and it’s cut down on the wine bill😉

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/07/2018 07:27

Week ends tend to be my downfall steps wise and sometimes food wise. I'm going to stick to the eating though this weekend.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 27/07/2018 07:46

Thanks sunny Smile

My steps are best at the weekend because I'm not chained to a desk.
I made a deal with myself after another weekend where scales fluctuations were massive due to copious soda water & lime & eating too late that things would change.

Sunday is my first day back on mfp & I'm planning to input the entire week for first time ever!

I'm not posting much because this rotten virus that I've got has come back for a second shot, so I am just lying in bed waiting for it to go away. I'm very much hoping that I will have something to say again at some point. Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/07/2018 19:46

I've found the fish burger Mammy. I checked the freezers out as well as the fresh fridge and they were there. I've told dh everyone raves about them, no pressure

mammynowanauntyIRL · 28/07/2018 02:24

Woo hoo life Grin

So focusing on food without giving a thought to activities. 2 days in a row lowest ever ever weight.
I'll have to be ill more often - That's a joke btw

SunnyLikeThursday · 28/07/2018 15:07

Being ill is a fab way to lose weight. It works for me every time. I don't think it's an especially good idea though.

I'm having a rubbish time with this virus but have managed only to lose 8lbs so far, which I'm quite proud of. This time last year I'd be down at 9st 3lbs by now.

Not2bObvious · 28/07/2018 22:59

Nothing, and I mean nothing seems to put me off eating. Asleep seems to be the only time I’m not thinking about/planning/eating food. Sorry to hear y’all still poorly - hoping August brings some health.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 28/07/2018 23:10

Being ill still doesn't have that desired effect on my weight loss although the couple of months of it this year did a bit.

Today marked the end of my holiday & I'm glad to be returning to normal food tomorrow. Water bottle charged & ready to go!

Today had brown bap with ham & half slice of cheese with scraping of butter on one side (using up food we bought on holiday) at airport at 8am
Lunch was Burger King meal
Dinner - pancakes with Nutella
Done now ✅

Tomorrow it's poached egg and bacon for breakfast & normality resumes Grin

Last weigh in of the week. New average weight time

Last weeks average : 159.6
This weeks average : 158.5

Delighted to have got my 1lb (well 1.1lb!) off. Was a pretty good week, went closer to an average of 1800 a day than 1700 but I don’t think it made much difference. Only 10,000 steps left to hit my weekly target.
mammy welcome home, did you say you’re going to Mfp your week? It’s my most used app!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 29/07/2018 09:34

Hi not2obvious yes I plan to do a full week into mfp in conjunction with doing an online shop today.
Going to put today in after having breakfast.

Well done on your loss
My average last week was based on 5 days and this week is based on 1 day, 5.6 gain but I know that'll reduce next week

OP posts:
mammynowanauntyIRL · 29/07/2018 11:16

Having gotten up properly & been to loo that gain is reduced to 3.6lbs Grin

mammynowanauntyIRL · 29/07/2018 11:18

These are my steps last week on holidays, on foot all day almost everyday yet it's not that many more than we're meant to achieve weekly HmmShock

That’s not much of a gain at all mammy, you could easily be shot of it in 1-2 weeks. I gained around 6 true pounds after my holidays, still not back to my previous average and it’s been nearly 4 weeks. It’s going to be another 2-3 to get back to my low average but that’s ok.

SunnyLikeThursday · 29/07/2018 17:00

I've still got the lurgy but I've only lost 8lb so far. That's a major victory for me, given that it's been 23 days now. Hope it shoves off soon.

Not2bObvious · 29/07/2018 17:54

Crikey sunny that’s quite a lot for that amount of time - you mustn’t be eating a lot. It’s take me around 10 weeks to lose that. And about 10 days —minutes— to put it back on

mammynowanauntyIRL · 29/07/2018 17:58

Are you in ketosis do you think sunny? I went into ketosis with tummy bug when pregnant with ds, going on a drip stopped it.

OP posts:
mammynowanauntyIRL · 29/07/2018 18:00

It's grand not2 I brought sachets of protein porridge with me for breakfast but rounded off most days with an ice cream in the apartment. The steps & drinking lots of water paid off.

OP posts:
SunnyLikeThursday · 29/07/2018 18:11

I'm not sure what ketosis is mammy but weight just drops off me if I get ill. I used to really struggle because I wasn't able to eat anything with fat in it at all. I'm getting on better because I can eat fats now so I can gain weight much much quicker and avoid losing it so fast as well.

I find there's a huge difference, for example, between living on plain potatoes and living on crisps. If I'm living on plain meat, plain spring greens and plain potatoes then it's very hard to eat enough to maintain my weight. But if I can casually slip in 6 or 8 packets of crisps in a day then I can maintain my weight quite well.

Sorry this all sounds a bit odd, but I find it incredibly helpful to be able to talk about it out loud, so to speak. GP appointments are so short, and it's very hard to talk about this stuff to RL friends. Talking to you about it is taking a load off my shoulders.

I'm getting on a bit better today and have had two tins of sardines as well as crisps. My GP is doing a test for salmonella and campylobacter, so I'm hoping that I might know soon what I did wrong. We were out in the garden a few weeks ago trimming bamboo and there were bird's nests in the bamboo, and I think we may have caught something from them. I'm honestly not usually this bad. Smile

SunnyLikeThursday · 29/07/2018 18:13

Oh, I just looked up ketosis and that's definitely not me. I eat a lot of plain brown rice and potatoes.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 29/07/2018 18:23

Just an idea

Thanks for that. It doesn't really fit with me. I've been on a high-carb, zero-fat diet for near enough four years, so I couldn't really have done that if I'd tried.

I think I'm just like this because I was stressed to the nines when ds was little and I haven't come down off that yet.

This is a red letter day for me though, because it was four years of no sleep that got me into this state and today is the exact day when I've had four years of good sleep since ds slept though.

I feel I should celebrate really. And actually sitting in bed watching youtube seems a pretty reasonable way to do that.
