Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

So I think I've got good balance this week
5 bootcamp sessions
In bed by 9.30pm each night after a bath, good food
Tonight binging on emmerdale with homemade lasagne & sweet potato actifry chips & a can of Pepsi max
Tomorrow trip to a spa followed by lunch out, maybe a run in the afternoon & out to see a comedian tomo night Grin

Not2bObvious · 08/12/2018 17:05

I am suffering greatly after my Christmas night out. I ate very little, preferring to drink my calories🤢 I knew I was bad when I couldn’t eat my hotel breakfast. On the mend though as I munch my way towards bed time - so flipping tired! Barely any steps taken today and v little yesterday but I’ll be back in the zone tomorrow.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/12/2018 07:20

Rubbish steps today. Made a healthy curry choice last night though

Happierwithouthim · 09/12/2018 22:02

I'd chickpea curry last night & alcohol free cider out.
Gain of 1lb this week

Not2bObvious · 10/12/2018 08:06

I didn’t record yesterday’s weight happier as I knew it would put my average up & it wouldn’t be a true weight. I was 158 Friday and I’m 159.2 this morning (160.8 yesterday) I don’t care in this instance if it’s considered a denial of sorts, I didn’t gain fat this week. I kept to calories and my steps were 12,000 a day on average. So at worst I maintained. My clothes are getting marginally looser so we’ll see how I progress on week 3 of budgeting. Your pound is very likely water from all the exercise. I’m going away Friday for 2 nights and then a family party Sunday. I’ll be squeezing a lot out of my budget😂

Happierwithouthim · 10/12/2018 09:23

I think its from exercise and taking cold and flu meds, I don't feel it on my body so I'm happy enough with that.

My outfit for next Sat night fits, its from a wedding I had on Jan 5th and was a little snug then so I'm happy with that.

Happierwithouthim · 10/12/2018 09:24

You've a busy weekend ahead

Not2bObvious · 10/12/2018 10:22

That’s great about the outfit happier, that shows more than a number on the scales. Yes going to be busy but great, might start to feel proper Christmassy by then. First year I don’t have to do Santa, has changed it a bit

Happierwithouthim · 10/12/2018 10:47

I can imagine it's a big change, have they chose their gifts or are you still doing surprise?

Not2bObvious · 10/12/2018 11:21

No, still doing surprises - to be honest it’s going to be the first year I’ve had to wrap presents for them! Santa never wrapped presents (aka my parents & Dh’s didn’t so we didn’t know it was a thingHmm) But it’ll be good still, better in a way cause I’ll get all the credit😬

Happierwithouthim · 10/12/2018 12:25

Smile appreciation overload hopefully Wink

I didn't realise it was a thing until H insisted on it as his first family's were always wrapped, but guess who ended up doing the wrapping and sourcing wrapping paper different to that used for general present giving Hmm

Happierwithouthim · 12/12/2018 10:27

How's everyone doing?
I'm glad the scales isn't the only measurement for success - mine has climbed 7lbs from lowest weight 3 weeks ago Shock I know most of it is down to being sick and exercise but I worry that it's not all down to that Sad

Not2bObvious · 12/12/2018 17:06

I’m scale dodging today, have been eating rings around myself the last 2 daysSad I’ve really had to dig deep today to get my act together. I’m sure the average isn’t up that much is it happier? How’s your food/steps going. I highly doubt you ate 25,000+ extra calories over your maintenance levels but logic don’t work with us women & the b*stard scales.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/12/2018 07:58

Totally exercise and being unwell.

I'm hovering around 132 ish. Which isn't bad for no tracking and only about 10k steps. Still trying to do pump 3x per week.

Happierwithouthim · 13/12/2018 08:42

The average is up another 2lbs this week not2 and I know it's not food really although carb overload yesterday with popcorn, haribo and a mcflurry at cinema with dc definitely didn't help.

I definitely didn't eat that much extra not2

I'm entering every morsel into mfp today and focusing on water and will go from there.

life that's great isn't it. Are you feeling back on top of it with body pump again now? Will it be on over the holidays?

I attempted R.E.D. January last year but had to stop due to flu, might try R.E.D. Christmas holidays and see how that goes Grin

Not2bObvious · 13/12/2018 12:24

Ah well it’s only Thursday, I’m sure you’ll get it down a bit by Sunday and really if it’s within 1-2 pounds I’d take that as maintenance. I’m starting to think maintenance will be the best case scenario for this month. I’m 158.6 this morning, was 159.6 the rest of the week, so my own average is up to 159.1 (was 158.4 for the last 2 weeks) It’s too bad considering how much I ate. Definitely overate enough to earn .7 of a pound! Starving all the time 😩

Happierwithouthim · 13/12/2018 13:49

Ya maintenance was my goal not gaining!!

Are you keeping calories for the weekend or just not going over as before?

Not2bObvious · 13/12/2018 13:54

Unfortunately I’ve been going over, comfort eating at its worst - only 2 days but retry much ate an extra days cals. But I think I’m getting a grip on it, been for a walk and talked myself down, only went a bit over yesterday and I think I’ll stick to my 1700 today.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/12/2018 18:07

I'm loving the 3x short classes and can really feel a difference.
There are a couple of cardio classes over Christmas and one pump.
They tend to stop from 21- 2 Jan. Best get walking..

Happierwithouthim · 13/12/2018 19:36

I signed up for twelve month membership of leisure centre today & asked for it to start 1st jan but they're allowing us to use it immediately so will get to use it during school holidays with dc Grin

I signed up for beginners spinning class for five weeks & waiting for new brochure for my other class, they're replacing barbell with body pump so I'll be looking for tips Grin

I didn't mfp yet but i know what I've eaten just to input it.

Grocery shopping done now up to and including Christmas except for desserts, will buy closer to the time. Should keep me on track. I think I'll plan out my lunches & breakfasts ahead of time.

Happierwithouthim · 13/12/2018 19:37

Are you happier with your physique now life?
Is it this weekend you're away not2

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/12/2018 20:54

Ish happier. I've accepted that I look pretty decent for a 43 year old who birthed 2 elephants and comes from a chunky family.
I could put the effort in and possibly get the body in my head but realistically it's not sustainable. I will tootle along as I am for now I think

Happierwithouthim · 13/12/2018 21:15

Lovely elephants though GrinGrin

That's good - acceptance & knowing that you don't want it to take over your life, whilst still being healthy.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/12/2018 21:38

Thanks
That's the thing. Healthy is the name of the game now. And teaching the elephants good habits.

Happierwithouthim · 14/12/2018 08:43

I went to my class this morning & left early for work when I was almost here it dawned on me that I'd arranged a colleague to come in early so that I could full class duh 🙄
