Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

Morning - another miserable Monday. Lashing rain here. Scales behaving (knows it’s on borrowed time haha) I’m the same weight as Friday and that’s pretty good/rare. I did drink over the rest of the weekend but very measured & controlled. And since chocolates out of the picture except for my 54 calorie advent sweet, there’s not too much being wasted on sweets. Still aching and my backs bothering me too. Hoping it’s just a twinge but going to take a decent anti-inflam so I can get moving today.
When’s your bootcamp happier?

Happierwithouthim · 03/12/2018 12:23

Hi not2 it starts tonight, there's a class morning and evening.

So tonight I'll go, then tomorrow morn, wed eve, thurs morn and fri eve. I can't stay for the full class in the mornings but can those evenings so I'll get the best out of it this way!

I'm a little under the weather because I did so many late nights this past 10 days.

Scales was up as predicted so I'll watch it drop and then record Wed to Sat again.

I didn't even track yesterday Blush back on track today though

Not2bObvious · 03/12/2018 13:41

Good luck tonight, I’m still aching after my pathetic foray into fitness. Sticking to the walking, I can’t afford to be in pain and quite frankly I can’t be arsed😁

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/12/2018 20:36

Le yum happier. Good luck tonight.

Weight up today as predicted. Legs ache. Bah.

Happierwithouthim · 03/12/2018 21:05

Class was good, I had hot shower after coming home, legs are starting to feel sore already, going again at 6.30am tomorrow

Life exercise is doing so much for you outside of scales so don't let it get to you.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2018 06:20

Oh I'm not. It's just narking.
I would be more cross of I was disciplined enough to follow the programme 100%

Happierwithouthim · 04/12/2018 08:39

That's good, it is annoying though.

The power of alcohol on the scales is so annoying too 3lbs fluctuation due to Sat nights indulgence. Will be glad to go alcohol free again once these few nights out are over. Dry January will be start of a new spell of no alcohol for me.

Bootcamp again this morning and already my legs are aching, will be able to do full hour tomorrow night and full hour on Friday morning so of the 5 sessions only two are cut short due to work.

Happierwithouthim · 04/12/2018 18:44

Sorry if tmi but I think I'll be back to normal on scales tomorrow, had lots of bathroom trips today Wink

Not2bObvious · 05/12/2018 20:11

How we getting on? Are you managing the bootcamp aches happier? I’m managing nicely on my “budget” so far but I have my Christmas party on Friday so it could be carnage! Getting close to my 15,000 steps as well. Scales isn’t moving greatly but no huge flux after the weekend. 158.6 this morning despite, ahem, many bathroom trips yesterday. I really thought I’d be 157’ish! Meh, no big deal. I’m down 4.4lb since the 4th November which is good for me.

Happierwithouthim · 06/12/2018 07:40

I don't know if it's the weekend/exercise/totm/headcold/medication playing havoc but my weight is still not dropping, thought it might be battery of scales but changed them this morning. Average last week 163.7 today's weigh in 166 & has been that or more every day so far SadAngryConfused

Yesterday was a serious tough day of DOMS, but had another epsom salts bath last night, and just feel achy today rather than sore so I'm pleased with that. Was meant to be doing early class this morning but things changed around so that I can do the full hour tonight, so that'll be 4 full classes out of 5 so I'm very happy with that.

My steps are poor

You're doing great with steps and cals now not2 new system seems to be suiting you.

Due to H messing around with nights this weekend I've changed my plans for Sat night to enable me to have a full good day with dc on Sunday which means no drink for me Sat night, which can only be good for the scales Grin

Not2bObvious · 06/12/2018 10:29

You’re definitely retaining water from the exercise happier, and I know when I hurt my back & was on medication I had huge gain (3lb!) completely unexplained. Hold your nerve, it’ll drop, and get plenty of water in.
I’m 158.6 again today, I’m hoping to see it drop a bit by Sunday but I’m sure it’s all fine. I know by my clothes my fat is going down - we have to remember weight is only one indicator and when the calorie deficit isn’t drastic the scales isn’t always the best measure. Although it’s the one I believe first - too many years at this to discount it!

Happierwithouthim · 06/12/2018 11:14

I'm not worried not2 because my clothes are fine so it's not proper gain iykwim - my sister always tells me I'm too focused on the scales but I think she's not focused enough on them Grin

Happierwithouthim · 06/12/2018 13:34

Breyers is reduced to €3.50 in centra Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/12/2018 18:25

Total fitness gain happier. Well done

Not2bObvious · 06/12/2018 18:31

I’ve never had any of the protein ice creams, worth trying? My dinner sucked but on the plus side I didn’t eat it all so I can have something nice in a bit

Happierwithouthim · 06/12/2018 21:13

I'm not really an ice cream person but love mint choc chip breyers & a caramel chunk one was good too.

Was just thinking it might be good for Christmas

Happierwithouthim · 06/12/2018 21:14

Carpet burns on my elbows from up down planks tonight Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/12/2018 07:04

I keep looking at it but £3.50 on offer or was it £250 seems a lot for a small tub.
Kelly's of Cornwall seems to to me over on protein but I haven't actually read the macros. Bought on offer obvs

Not2bObvious · 07/12/2018 07:29

I can think of better & worse ways to get carpet burns 😉 You got battle scars happier!
I am destined to have 1 week decent weight loss, one week maintenance. Scales still hovering, 158 this morning. Average is now sitting at 158.5 (was 158.4 last Sunday) and out tonight for Christmas party. I had really hoped to see 157 but doesn’t seem likely now. But I am feeling trimmer so I’ll hold onto that.

Happierwithouthim · 07/12/2018 08:44

It's expensive alright life and I'm not sure it's all that worth it. Got halo top a few weeks ago a peanut butter flavour, I'm not keen.

My frozen treat at the moment is a kind of helter skelter water ice lolly from dunnes 75kcal, lasts ages and I think is under €3 for 5 of them.

Dc like them too.

The epsom salts helped the carpet burns and I'm wearing sleeves today.

Week 1 bootcamp complete.

Like you scales is showing a gain this week, I can weigh in Sunday now also as I'm not going to drinking Sat night at all.
