Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

Big girl pants on, damage limitation then not2

Not2bObvious · 24/11/2018 15:24

Yes clearly big girls pants are on, quite frankly big girl pants are always on so it’s less theoretical than actual! Dropping my cals back to 1700, I need to stick to my budget. Frugality needed

Happierwithouthim · 24/11/2018 15:31

Flew to brum @ 6.25 so I was up early Wink
Currently at 15000+
Had sausages in a brioche bun in Dublin, porridge in brum, and chicken pad sew for lunch so no harm done so far

Not2 you've got this

Not2bObvious · 24/11/2018 17:00

Didn’t realise you were flying away happier, great work so far, fab steps. Just finished a lovely long bath, did an 11,000 step jog/walk so it was lovely to thaw out. Homemade Indian curry for dinner, budgeting like a b*stard😉

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/11/2018 18:13

500 Cal over and only 9k steps. Never mind tomorrow is a new day

Happierwithouthim · 25/11/2018 01:25

Yesterday 24852 steps Shock just celebrated with a 140kcal mini McFlurry which was absolutely delicious Wink

Off to bed now as have lots of driving to do again tomorrow

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/11/2018 08:17

Awesome happier

Not2bObvious · 25/11/2018 12:10

That’s some epic steps happier, you’ll feel them today! Any success with the shopping? I tried on my Christmas party outfit and I think I’m happy enough with it. One size was a bit too loose that took the look off it, and the smaller was a wee bit tight. Of course I bought the smaller one. As it was €€€ I wanted to be able to wear it again & since I don’t want to gain weight there’s sense in my madness. I’m 2 weeks on and a couple of pounds lighter (‘ish), it’s looking better. Just under 2 weeks to go and I think I’ll get another couple of pounds off and it’ll be better again.
Feeling lazy today

Happierwithouthim · 25/11/2018 15:29

Not2 that's great about Christmas party outfit

I got just a few bits - beautiful pair of jeans from next - lift slim & shape - and they certainly do, no discount of them but they're fab. A baggy knit jumper, a sparkly top for going out at Christmas.

My Christmas party outfit is an outfit I bought there last year for a winter wedding, I'm a little lighter this year by a 1lb or 2 so I'm hoping it'll look good.

My arms are sore from carrying shopping bags & I bought hardly anything! My feet are sore from wearing wedge boots for 19 hours Grin

I didn't hydrate well yesterday & stepped on scales out of curiosity this morning Shock glad I decided not to record it Wink

Not2bObvious · 25/11/2018 17:23

Ooh nothing like a well fitting pair of jeans to make you feel good, glad you got something nice happier, and wow that’s some amount of up hours. That was a work out in itself.
I watched a few videos from another online PT yesterday, v similar to RH. Interesting points made about the scales but a good idea about calorie allowance. So I allocated my self a budget of 11,900 from Saturday to Friday, and I have to make it last the week. Ok I used rather too much yesterday, so I’m cutting back a bit today. Feels good so far! And I’m not stressing mental about protein etc. I know I’m jumping back/forth but I feel like I’m wasting calories eating stuff for the sake of it and honestly, I’m no fuller. We shall see

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/11/2018 20:25

Sounds interesting, do report back. So is it your 7 day Cal allowance at the start of the week to manage as you can?

Not2bObvious · 25/11/2018 20:54

Yes exactly- I had seen it said before on RH but that was more in prep for a night out or when you knew you’d be over. It’s the weekly average that matters. I guess it’s like everything, it’ll work for some, not for others. I’d been finding myself trying to hem in so much protein that honestly hasn’t helped with satiety and using up so many cals, I’d be starving and wanting crud at the end of the day. So I’m dropping the morning protein shake and that immediately drops me from 1800 and closer to 1700 which is where I need to be to drop 1lb a week. Watch this space, hope to using less of it by next weekend😉

Happierwithouthim · 25/11/2018 21:52

Whatever works for you not2

Not2bObvious · 26/11/2018 07:24

Yeah we’ll see, this mornings weigh in was positive at least, just under 160 - just, 159.8! Hardly miles under but nice start to the week

Happierwithouthim · 26/11/2018 09:11

Definitely a great start to week.
I was at my parents last night so didn't weigh. I think I'll start from wed this week & fluctuations from weekend should have settled by then.

Not2bObvious · 26/11/2018 10:27

That sounds very sensible happier, I don’t know about you but flying sends my weight mental! I left Ireland on a Friday evening in October and I’d been 156.6, I weighed myself Sunday morning and I was 161.4! Like wtaf???? Better not to start with negativity, Monday’s are hard enough as it is.

Happierwithouthim · 26/11/2018 17:01

Yes there was a significant weight gain on Sun morn from Fri morn but I just didn't dwell on it

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/11/2018 19:44

Steps in today. Food shite. I've worked out it's a stress thing. My head is too full ATM and that is an easy thing to give

Happierwithouthim · 26/11/2018 22:51

Good to realise the correlation life

My Fitbit needs charging so won't know steps until the morning

Hit my protein but not my fibre or water today. Hitting the hay now I'm wrecked

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2018 17:17

How’re we doing today? It’s going pretty good at the moment for me, budgeting away with my calories, I’m back on track after my guzzling on Saturday (2700Blush oops) and I’ll be starting my advent challenge on Saturday. That’ll sort my sweet tooth for 3.5 weeks so that’s got to help. Chocolate is one of my big weaknesses...and crisps...and wine, basically everything that’s bad for the waistline! Got 40 minutes on the dreadmill before work so I had 7,000 steps done before 7, and I’m at just over 13,000 - I may or may not push to get the 15,000. My feet are aching. Scales down another pound this morning which cheered me on loads even though I know it’s just a flux - although the type I prefer😬 Going out on Friday night so I’ll try & be very good beforehand. Then work party the following Friday. Then a weekend away the following Friday. It’s going to be a challenge.

Happierwithouthim · 27/11/2018 17:44

2500 steps here & house cleaning on the agenda tonight so will be a workout but not steps I guess.

Macros will be hit today

I'm beginning to think maintenance for next few weeks is the only achievable aim. Alcohol plays havoc & I've got some planned for every sat night for next 3 weekends BlushBlush

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2018 17:53

Will get 11k ish steps as got a lift home as on a tight schedule.

Eaten my body weight in shepherd's pie with cheese topping. Not bad but not good enough for macros and calories.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2018 17:54

nobody mention the 6 Jaffa cakes

Happierwithouthim · 27/11/2018 19:34

Was yummy & topped off my macros, I'm still tired from traversing the country & Brum so I'm going to have an early night.

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2018 20:50

You might surprise yourself happier, I agree alcohol does cause havoc but it’s fluctuation rather than real gain unless it’s coupled with a proper increase in calories by drinking loads or my particular problem - eating tonnes of crisps/nuts with it. Since you’re social drinking, maybe you can work the drink cals into your allowance?
Oh my, my house needs a good clean and I can find no will to do it
