Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

For 5 seconds in June I was 152.6! Imagine under 11 stone, I’d never see 10’something in my life. I was 9.4 at 19 and 11.2 at 23 (and 13.7 at 26, and 15-17 during my pregnancies)
I tried the coconut which was like a poor mans bounty, and the raspberry is ok. The Milky Way one is defo the nicest.
You’ll have no bother being away with a ally, all my friends have a f**k it attitude and probably think I’m cracked (know I’m cracked🤪)

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/11/2018 14:32

I've friends like that too, but they don't understand how it feels to not be happy with your body or else say life's too short, but my argument is it'll be shorter if you don't look after your health.

Some people are disgusted when they see women looking muscular, yes dm I'm looking at you, whereas that's what I want, to be slim, toned and healthy looking

First few days back.

That's very good life
What caused your falls?

You poor thing life, I didn’t realise you did proper damage, is it very bad? Take your time and get better, don’t push yourself too hard. Your cals look good.
My steps are good enough today, won’t get 15,000 but I got some extra the last couple of days. Have had a glass of 🍷 after dinner but I have room for it (might have a second...)

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/11/2018 06:40

I'm ok walking about but bending my knee hurts. It's the inner thigh and ligament inside my knee cap. Like down the inside.
Limped to the doctor's yesterday and he was all concerned but I'm like I'm not here about this. This is because I couldn't stay on my feet. Funny though.
I'm skipping weights for the rest of the week as my forearm and shoulder hurt a bit on the same side.

Mammy I fell over X2 on Monday. Slid on some wet leaves and landed on my left hand and ass.
Then 2 hours later missed the last step at the scout hut and landed on my right side and ass.
Didn't think it was much but started hurting after body pump on Tuesday

Happierwithouthim · 22/11/2018 15:18

Ok accidents rather than you lost your balance phew 😅

Changed my username hopefully you guys know my style of posting

Left my Fitbit at home charging this morning AngryAngry back to charging in the car least I won't be the whole day without it.

Not2bObvious · 22/11/2018 16:26

Love the new username - very appropriate I’m sure😉
Only had the one small glass of wine last night so that was something but scales still flux’ed up half a pound this morning. I really do know weight loss isn’t linear but wouldn’t it be great if it was the odd time? Have to keep reminding myself the scales is measuring everything not just fat, and I’m...ahem... a bit bunged up today. I’m pretty good with the fibre, just my body doesn’t like regularity!

Happierwithouthim · 22/11/2018 19:25

Mine neither not2 but since getting to grips with including fibre at every meal I'm fairly good.

Got caught for time out at activities & my preventative homemade wrap pizza just didn't cut it to fill me so got a mcchicken legend & now I'm still hungry over calories & going to a meeting for at least 2.5 hours Angry

Not2bObvious · 22/11/2018 20:02

Ahh there’s days like that, if you go over 1 day then think of it as a maintenance day.
I am having some wine....and crisps. Maintenance day here too😉

Not2bObvious · 22/11/2018 21:55

Ok I might have been a little naughty, around 200 over and I did over 17,500 steps. I stopped after 2 glasses of wine but did have a decent few crisps but all in all it was a minor splurge.
I hope your meeting went well happier and the hunger wore off

Happierwithouthim · 22/11/2018 22:30

I just didn't want to start today with going over calories when portion control is out of my hands tomo and sat Angry

Not2bObvious · 22/11/2018 22:47

Portions may be out of your control but how much you eat of them isn’t. Don’t be cross with yourself, it’s natural to get hungry, it’s not a sin and 1 day over isn’t that bad. Catastrophic thinking was a huge part of my weight issues, feeling desperate that I’d “failed” and deciding it was all gone to pot and I’d never be successful at losing weight. Get a rest and start fresh tomorrow, I’m sure you’ve seen Richie say if you’re not dangerously overweight you’re allowed a break for a day or 2. And you’re not, so go easy on yourself

Happierwithouthim · 22/11/2018 23:58

True I've taken myself to bed anyhow so not going to do more harm Grin

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2018 05:39

-0.9lbs on average this week Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/11/2018 06:39

Steps smashed yesterday. 130 Cal over though. Really need to nail fibre and protein to stop the Hunger.

It's one day guys. .....

YYhappier portions may be big but you don't have to eat it all. I'm sure your shopping will be a workout for you. Lots of steps in.

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2018 07:23

That's true but then the frugaleer and Irishness in me doesn't want to waste food GrinGrin packed healthy snacks for car so it's all good Grin

Well done on smashing your steps again life is your side a bit better then?

Not2bObvious · 23/11/2018 07:47

Woohoo happier! That’s a fab start to the weekend, that’ll gear you up to be spectacular. Thought I might be looking at a loss this morning but no, scales is up 1lb from Wednesday, however I’m making a conscious decision to trust the process and know I’m doing all the right things - it’ll balance out by Sunday for a loss of sorts (or it’ll find itself in the skip)
Great work on getting your steps done life, yeah getting the balance right with the macros really does work to help with the hunger. Although it never quite abates mine, but hey it’s less than my body wants so that makes sense. I’ve company over for dinner but have a very macro filling slow cooked beef stew planned that’s low in cals. As long as I can control the rest of my meals, I’ll be good. Shopping for presents today, it won’t be frugal but I’ll make a few savings. Black Friday my bum

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2018 08:38

Alcohol plays havoc with the scales for me not2 so I made the decision to not drink except for special occasions this year and it's meant I'm not looking at the scales in horror after a weekend, it's an extreme choice though and not for everyone.

I will have a few drinks at my Christmas night at mine next weekend, the following Sat night, I'm undecided, and then the one after that is my Christmas party so I will drink again.

Enjoy the beef stew, I've not made any yet this winter. Au pair is vegetarian and dc only eat with me a few times a week and generally want chicken curry or wrap pizzas or roast of some sort.

Not2bObvious · 23/11/2018 11:19

Yeah, if I could knock the drink on the head I’d be laughing, well probably crying more likely but laughing from a weight loss side of things. So I can’t have my cake and eat it, or in this case wine and drink it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/11/2018 12:06

I'm better. Covered in bruises. No weights today again though

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2018 14:04

That's good news life

Its an amazing day would love to be heading out for a run instead of sitting in car for hours, although I'd be at work so wouldn't be going anyhow Smile

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/11/2018 20:42

Just shy of 18k steps. Hit protein, about 150 cals over

Happierwithouthim · 24/11/2018 05:04

Excellent life

Not2bObvious · 24/11/2018 08:32

Around 200 over, not bad for a night with company and over 13,500 so that’s acceptable.
You’re awake very early happier? Or are you up very late😉
I think this week is going to be an arsehole week on the scales. Pretty much looking at a small gain or a maintain - and that isn’t deserved so I’m going to pull my big girls pants up and not lose the plot. And that’s what I’ll mutter to myself repeatedly tomorrow when my nemesis gives me the same mundane shite reading.
