Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

After dinner at my db's incl dessert, I still had 700cals left, he didn't cater for fact I don't eat potatoes and mashed veg so I'd beef gravy and peas Grin wasn't hungry at the time as had a nice little dessert of jelly and icecream afterwards but it allowed me to have a fantastic chicken kebab in car on the way home, when I saw myself in the mirror, i looked like I'd been drunk eating it, I ate it while driving GrinGrin

Saw a 28 day challenge thing on fb life first day day no sugar/alcohol, 2 litres of water and 8500 steps you can definitely do that

not2 do you feel better for not weighing?
I expected scales to be up significantly this morning as I drank a pint of water at 2am and had a kebab last night but it was just +0.9lbs, hopefully I don't pay for it tomorrow but it was delicious.

That’s a very good Monday weigh in mammy, barely a blip. I don’t feel great this morning, just didn’t want the head melt, so put it this I don’t feel any worse😬
I am very flabby these days and when I look in the mirror all I see is gut & chunky legs - I’m a short ass and the extra 4-5lb I gained over my holiday looks much worse than it would on a taller body. I know if I keep chipping away it’ll reduce in a few weeks but from a mind point of view I find the scales so disheartening.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 19/11/2018 10:44

I'm only 5'2" and life is similar afaik

I know exactly what you mean though, I'm going shopping on Sat but if I'm not feeling it, and all I see is my thunder thighs I could come home with zero clothes bought.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/11/2018 17:44

Yes I am and I carry my fat on my tummy and upper/inner thighs. Although my fat arse saved me when I slipped over coming home from work.

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2018 19:17

That’s a silver lining life😉 I wonder what my legs might look like if I ever (I should say when!) get to goal.
The day from a calorie pov has been fine so far, of course it’s now the danger hour for me - I like a little something in the evening. Steps are in the bag and a few in the bank. Up early for a jog before work tomorrow so hope to make a decent dint before 9.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 19/11/2018 21:17

Mine were still chunky at 9st 7lbs last time BlushHmm all my weight has always been there but in past 12 months my upper arms have gotten larger too.

I ran 5k this evening non stop, delighted because it's been quite a while since I did that.

The light is off in my kitchen, I plan on staying out of it Grin but dinner was fairly late too.

4g over on protein & 34g fibre Grin

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2018 21:20

Well done on the 5k and brilliant work on the macros!
44 cals under, just shy 2 grams of protein and 26 gram of fibre. That’ll do pig, that’ll do😉

mammynowanauntyIRL · 20/11/2018 06:08

Excellent let's smash today now too

OP posts:
mammynowanauntyIRL · 20/11/2018 06:24

Just finished filling out my mfp - 23 cals left, hit protein & 39g fibre Grin now just steps to concentrate on Grin

40 minutes done on the dreadmill and at just under 9,500 steps, going to get a brisk 20 minutes at lunchtime. Absolutely let’s smash the sh*t out of today

Alwayscheerful · 20/11/2018 13:22

I am lurking as I have been low carbing with higher fat , you all seem to be loosing at a steady rate, how many calories are you tending to sim for? I realise if you fall off the wagon you all seem to get back on the next day!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 20/11/2018 14:51

alwayscheerful are you following a keto based diet?
I no longer binge since I joined Team RH

OP posts:
Alwayscheerful · 20/11/2018 15:00

I am aiming for under 50 g carbs a day and very little sugar, I seem to be loosing 2 -2.5 lbs per week but only been tracking myself for 3 weeks, doesn't sound much but I liken it to blocks of butter or lard Smile

Alwayscheerful · 20/11/2018 15:00

What is team RH?

mammynowanauntyIRL · 20/11/2018 16:28

Team RH Fitness Link

On this thread you don't have to be following a particular plan to take part just wanting weight loss or better diet for your health really.

That's great losses so far.

Alwayscheerful · 20/11/2018 16:51

Thank you mammy.

Not2bObvious · 20/11/2018 20:01

I’d never be cheerful on less than 50gr of carbs a day always 😉, only joking! But fair play seems to be working well for you.
I’ve scrapped in 3 cals under, 6gr over on protein, 26gr fibre, nearly 16,000 steps. I’ve closed the kitchen and taken myself off to bed. 2 good days in the bank, feeling positive. The scales is down 2lb from Sunday’s stupid number, here’s hoping tomorrow I’m 100% back on track. According to the Fitbit app I’m down 2.4lb since the 4th November so that’s reasonable.

Not2bObvious · 20/11/2018 20:02

Correction 2.8lb!!! Happy with that😬

mammynowanauntyIRL · 20/11/2018 21:07

Well done not2

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/11/2018 07:36

I've 9lbs lost since the start of this thread so thanks everyone for your support and motivation Grin

Not2bObvious · 21/11/2018 08:06

That’s brilliant mammy, well done! That’s the size a fine baby😉 Or a small’ish turkey😬
I was happy to log my weight this morning, down to 159.6, every little helps. I’m .5 under last weeks average now. If we all keep up the momentum it’ll be great

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/11/2018 08:26

Luckily my babies were smaller than that Wink

Woo hoo you're under 160 now, fantastic.

I'm 162.5 with average of 163.6 which is 0.8 lower than last week. I'll only have a 5 day average this week as I'm away fri night until Sun morn and Sat am weighing would be about 3/4am so not realistic Smile

I'm away with my cousin who has lost over a stone in last couple of months so we'll keep each other on track. She even resisted a death by chocolate cake last weekend so we should be ok.

Have you tried any of the other flavours of mealpro from Lidl?
