Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

17600 steps and a 30 minute swim.. hate swimming

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/11/2018 20:54

Did you hit calories mammy?
Those 2 are good to hit.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 16/11/2018 02:36

9 cals over life
Swimming's good for you though Wink

I looked up gym I'm joining to see how early the pool opens but it's 9am Sad

I'm on track for 0.5lbs loss this week, which gives me 7lbs since h moved out an average of 1lb per week Grin would love to keep this going & be another 7lbs lighter for my friends wedding on Dec 30th.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/11/2018 07:21

Give yourself a break woman you hit cals, protein and fibre. That's not a bad day.

Another 7 by year end? Totally do able

Not2bObvious · 16/11/2018 07:56

You can definitely get another 7lb off by the end of the year mammy, wouldn’t it be brilliant to go into the new year lighter?
I’m just under the 160lb, like 159.8 and I know it’s the weekly average that’s the most important but I’m delighted to see that this morning. I’m doing pretty ok but did go over by a lot last night. I’m meant to go out for dinner tonight but with so much coming up the next few weeks, I’m kinda rethinking it. Very hard to stick to cals with restaurant food in the mix. Weekends need to be better in order to get my 1lb off this week, I’m at .9 so far. Arg! Decisions

mammynowanauntyIRL · 16/11/2018 08:48

Oh I'm not giving myself a hard time over it at all Grin

Did up excel sheet for my streak of steps etc and haven't filled it out all week because only went over 10000 steps once, will update now. Also didn't track last weekend either.

I could also tell you guys that this is my total weight loss for the year too to put it into perspective but my sleep & health & lifestyle has improved no end since H moved out so this is what's achievable going forward. If I started hitting my steps consistently hopefully it's achievable. Then could get to target next year.

I'm 164.5 average this week so we're about the same weight.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 16/11/2018 11:26

You can’t put a price on those improvements mammy, so what if that’s the loss for the year - anyone going through such disruption would be more likely to gain stones! Great work and better times ahead no doubt

mammynowanauntyIRL · 16/11/2018 16:09

not2 I spent 3 months at start of year in poor health following flu and I said to myself if I can get through this and separation without gaining weight I'd be happy and I've been successful in that mission HaloGrin

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 16/11/2018 21:32

That's good mammy. Doing fine.

45 min pump at lunch. 14k steps.
Bloody hungry today. Scone and jam, Gregg's bacon role and breakfasts granola and skyr for lunch.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 17/11/2018 12:10

I put in my weighing scales for overnight at my parents to get accurate weigh in tomo Sad

Also packed snacks for car journey so that I won't stray Halo

If you've not tried Lidl's protein bar yet they're fab chocolate one is like a Milky Way texture 99c and 99 cals 9.6g protein & 5.1g fibre

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 17/11/2018 12:45

Fair play to you bring your scales mammy, I like those bars - I could eat 2/3 but the tightwad in me prohibits that thankfully. Haven’t had one in a while, might treat myself. Suffering with a pretty manky headache...ok hangover. I don’t quite need to eat all the food but it’s going to be a challenge. Friend over for dinner later, I’m cooking a curry. More 🍷 🤢

mammynowanauntyIRL · 17/11/2018 13:29

First time I've done it obvious dm's weighs lower than mine so I said why not.

The other brands of protein bars are €2.50 though so they're no more expensive than a regular bar. Makes me feel like I'm treating myself. I got a 3 pack of fulfil yesterday for €3.24 in Dunnes. This will do me a few weeks as I'd only have one at weekends really.

I was planning my hangover of Dec 2nd this morning, checking out drinks cabinet and making a list for my party Grin

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 18/11/2018 08:58

I hate my scales this morning and I hate my stupid body that gets a sniff of a chip & applies a weight fluctuation of 3lb overnight. On that note I decided yesterday’s average consisting of 4 weigh ins is sufficient to determine my weekly average. I was 161, I am now 160.1 - I think that’s perfectly reasonable. I worked hard this week, I’ve less than 10,000 to go before I hit my target of 105,000 for the week. Yes I was a bit over on cals, if I could just stick to 1800 I think I’d hit the 1.5lb a week but that’s a work in progress. I’m so glad I don’t gauge my weight on 1 day a week, otherwise I’d have a 2lb gain. The b*stard scales would find itself buried in the garden.
If I could continue to lose at this rate, I’ll be at target in oooh 6 months. Sigh....well it’s the only way cause I’m incapable of eating anything less than 1900-2000 on average with my activity levels or more accurately greed levels! I’m under no illusions about being a hungry one.
Hope your weigh in went great mammy

Not2bObvious · 18/11/2018 09:08

Correction - I should have said greedy, not hungry. My excess cals come from junk

mammynowanauntyIRL · 18/11/2018 09:41

It's the salt not2 GrinWinkHmm
Glad I brought my own scales, new lowest weight of 163.3 & I wouldn't have trusted it on dm's scales Grinso I lost 0.8lbs 31lbs to target now (my happy weight of 9st 7lbs, my body prefers 10st 7lbs Angry)
So I could achieve my target for summer Grin finally it's looking achievable

OP posts:
mammynowanauntyIRL · 18/11/2018 09:44

I did go over by 250 cals yesterday

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 18/11/2018 10:25

Well done mammy, that is really brilliant! Imagine being 9.7 for summer, my goal is a little higher at 137lb (only 23lb to go) I am going to do, I bloody am
I haven’t been a single digit weight since my teens.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/11/2018 10:38

Great going mammy

mammynowanauntyIRL · 18/11/2018 12:39

Thanks life & not2 well done on your loss also. I know we could do it faster if I was consistently hitting my steps & you were keeping within calories but I'm ok with how it's going now because it's not an obsession & I'm still enjoying life.

Went for a run this morning & left dc on technology with my mother while I was gone. I'll be driving for 4 hours or so today so it was great to get that boost.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 18/11/2018 12:46

Yes exactly mammy, this way is far more sustainable right now. Every now and again I get a perfect week, and that’s a boost but for the most it’s perfectly imperfect😉
Enjoy your run, I’m laid down with my own technology, I’ll get my walk in later. Safe driving

mammynowanauntyIRL · 18/11/2018 22:10

Thoroughly enjoyed run & had a country walk later in afternoon, my Fitbit is displaying low battery so I can't see how I did steps wise until I charge it

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 19/11/2018 06:18

Fab.
Rubbish weekend for me. Need to knock the sugar and caffeine on the head.

lifelongfrugaleer · 19/11/2018 07:39

Weight creeping up. Some will be salt weight but back on mfp today. 1600.

Gonna struggle for macro but will put that right in the week

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2018 07:48

I haven’t bothered to weigh this morning, I always do just don’t log it the last few weeks until Wednesday (the day my weight hits my Sunday average usually)
But since I don’t log it, today I don’t feel like knowing quite frankly. Definitely salt bloat will be part of the gain problem life, doesn’t make it any more palatable though!
I had carvery lunch out yesterday following by crisps/chocolate and wine for dinner. I’ve adopted a Sunday is cheat day mentality - hasn’t caused too much damage I reckon & keeps me a little saner. Need to not allow Friday & Saturday creep into this category too. I had a thought about cutting drinks until Christmas but I think that’s setting myself to fail. Will work out a plan though. Maybe make my 20% junk cals my alcohol calorie limit. That could work on many levels. Keep me hangover free and cut out the salty snacks....hmm
