Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

15, 026 steps yesterday. Shite food Day though, scone, chocolate, peanut bar, no gym either for weight class.

Better today

PollyPelargonium52 · 10/11/2018 07:59

I have stopped buying Weight Watchers bread as it doesn't taste good. I have moved over to Aldi's own brand wholemeal sliced loaf at an incredible price of 36 pence!

I just hope I don't start gaining weight now but it is very filling and tastes nourishing and I find I am eating less bread now.

I was eating up to a loaf a day so I was hardly not eating much bread to start with!

Not2bObvious · 10/11/2018 09:54

Great steps life, your shite food sounds yummy! Feck it, today can be better.
Went over last night by 400 - quite ok in comparison to the previous Friday when I went over by 2000+Blush Anyway, it’s fine, scales is fluctuating as usually but I’m ok with that (gritting teeth, remembering plan to be more patient)
I think my body works on a week in lieu basis, I’m won’t see the full results of this weeks efforts until next week.

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/11/2018 20:04

It was yummy. Better good today but shite steps. Hey ho.
I think a lot of damage and good is laggy. I don't see real results until the week after I do something. The trick is to remember that and not be disheartened

mammynowanauntyIRL · 11/11/2018 07:27

Got flu vaccine thurs eve & slammed with chest infection on fri, my ds turned 5 on Friday & i had cake both days, not filled out mfp since fri morn. Steps poor too Angry

Ah even one of this would knock anyone off track. Damage limitations until you feel better then back on it.

Not2bObvious · 11/11/2018 18:52

How you feeling mammy? Focus on recovery, bit of cake won’t ruin your hard work.
Officially down .8 this week. Ate a lot today, went into town & has pizza (and 🍷🤗) Thoroughly enjoyed & no guilt, I did 1 hours jogging and have hit nearly 17,000 steps today. Tomorrow’s a new day

mammynowanauntyIRL · 11/11/2018 20:06

I'd a gain this week from 165.0 to 165.1 average so I wouldn't even count that as a gain.

I totally agree about recovery. Last January I attempted to keep up R.E.D. January despite having flu & I paid the price.

I'm on 3449 steps I won't even hit 4000 I'd say today. I had 2 sausages, an egg & 2 pieces of black pudding with 55cal bread. Roast chicken sliced green beans & gravy. Mint vienetta. Leftover pancake from ds with Nutella. Porridge

Surprised myself - am at 5275 steps, dc decided to have separate baths so I did a lot of walking between living room & bathroom Grin

Sorry I've been awol - completely undid all my good work over the weekend. We have had some sudden and unexpected life stress and I realise just how much I emotionally eat/drink.

I'm still here though and would still like to lose some weight before Christmas. Life decisions should be resolved in the next few weeks so just have to find some alternative coping strategies!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 12/11/2018 10:16

@thistime these things happen, just keep on plugging away.

Hope life stress gets sorted out.

life I was hovering around 25g fibre but today I'm making a better effort to hit 35g as that combined with water works for me.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 12/11/2018 19:55

Today was not a good day. I had 2 raspberry magnum and WFH so no steps

mammynowanauntyIRL · 12/11/2018 21:46

Tomorrow will be better life
I'm only on 5k steps but hit my protein, water & had 38g fibre so I'm ok with the steps part not being perfect.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 13/11/2018 20:48

Nice going on the fibre.
7729 steps yesterday.
5700 today. Lots of bread today.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/11/2018 07:56

only 21g fibre yesterday but will aim high again today Wink
My steps are poor but going out with walking group tonight so that should help that.

Yesterday I decluttered 8 big refuse bags from house and attic of clothes for a used clothes donation and will do more tonight as they've to be in tomorrow morning at the school. So steps suffered but I wasn't sitting on my a*s either Grin

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 14/11/2018 08:12

Still counts as activity imo.
Walking to and from work today but out for tea. No gym on a Wednesday as the classes are not my bag.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/11/2018 12:59

My bootcamp class that I loved but had to give up due to lingering flu is doing a 2 week stint in December. I'm going to it. Then I'll be in classes after Christmas with my gym membership

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 14/11/2018 18:34

Ooh I love a bit of decluttering, I got rid of 2 bags yesterday - the smallest dent in the biggest mountain! I’m sure you’ll get your steps up. Boot camp should be good, I’d love to get back to doing weights but my back is seriously fragile
Doing pretty ok, weight dropping down. I took the advice of only taking 4-5 weigh in’s to get my average. My Monday/Tuesday weight is always rubbish.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/11/2018 21:18

Do it mammy, you used to love boot camp.
What's the the thing with the set your own steps. I wonder how that will work in the lower calories groups. Can't see it being good to go much lower calories wise.
Might rejoin for the £50 per year price. Feeling back on it now.
10700 so far today, no gym.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 14/11/2018 21:35

Haven't been following group much lately so first I heard of it life

Ooh not2 if I didn't include mon & tues weigh ins my average would be much better HmmShock

Over an hour walking with a friend today so I'm on 13346 steps currently, but unplanned lunch out & getting too hungry means I won't hit my protein or fibre today

I bought weights- must get back to home heroes workouts

Someone started a thread last week and Richie did a mumsnet-- video answer.
Also I hear the app is coming which interests me as I hate FB at the minute.

Hope today is better mammy.
I wish weekends didn't count, there is a pattern here re Mon/Tue weigh in

mammynowanauntyIRL · 15/11/2018 07:57

Part of the reason I suffer higher weigh ins mon & tues is the timing of meals on weekends. But it'd only bring my average down by 0.2 or so.

Today's a better day & everything planned out at the moment except dinner.
591 cals 40g protein & 18g fibre to hit.

I'm not a Facebook fan either

OP posts:
mammynowanauntyIRL · 15/11/2018 08:25

I tend to do higher fat than carbs during the week & opposite at weekends

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 15/11/2018 09:57

It’s psychological with me, not recording Monday or Tuesday. I know the idea of weighing everyday is meant to break the emotional link but seeing a 2-3lb gain that I know will be gone by Wednesday causes me more upset than it’s worth. That’s my logic. Another one who hates the FB approach

mammynowanauntyIRL · 15/11/2018 19:34

Hit my protein & 31g fibre but only by having a fulfil & a meal pro bar. Ds is hard work today so the effort of meeting my macros by tweaking my food was too much for me Blush
