I've just found it in the pack!

laloop · 04/06/2007 13:00

Give yourself a few weeks, fff2, you'll be trying to beat your own jogging times each session, it's a great form of exercise to see improvement quickly

fireflyfairy2 · 04/06/2007 23:14

Did anyone have any weigh-ins tonight???

I have just been to an amazing fashion show!

They had levis for £6 & diesel clothes for next to nothing... jean for £9!! Pity the legs were all for giants or I might have been able to bag myself a bargain!!

rhysmiamum · 05/06/2007 08:51

woooooooohooooooooooo

lost 6lb!!!!!

maisiedaisy · 05/06/2007 09:33

Wow! well done ryhsmiamum

fireflyfairy2 · 05/06/2007 10:59

Bloody hell!!! WD you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was this your first weigh-in?

Excellent!!

rhysmiamum · 05/06/2007 11:25

No not first week - been on SW for ages. Had a few slow weeks and a gain about 3 weeks ago so been a bit down lately but was determined this week and been eating loads of SS foods and doing loads more exercise and it must have worked!

Chuffed! Proved to myself that it can be done....and I must add that I had a chinese last Friday night too!

fireflyfairy2 · 05/06/2007 11:36

Fantastic!

I made the carrot & coriander soup for dinner yesterday evening so will have some more for lunch today, have you ever made it? It's delicious & really filling

I'm hoping for 2 off at least this week, but we'll see.

rhysmiamum · 05/06/2007 12:45

No not made that....not a lover of soup really!

I did make the pasta and aubergine bake a few days ago which was surprisingly yummy!

good luck on your weigh-in!!

Rooicosta · 05/06/2007 14:06

Wow Rhysmiamum, that's great!

I've lost 2lbs this week and I'm pleased with that as I've had wine and BBQ's galore this weekend!

bebopbop · 05/06/2007 15:51

Hello!

Hope you don't mind me joining in! I joined SW last night and need some encouragement! Read the book inside out, up and down but it's still a little confusing.

Someone mentioned that the website is good, anyone know the website address etc???

Thanks!!

fireflyfairy2 · 05/06/2007 16:14

www.slimmingworld.co.uk Password is olive

You should also buy the magazine, it has a 7 day food plan in it

CayKon · 05/06/2007 16:22

Hello Everyone,

I have just sat and read through all the messages, and it is so nice to find a supportive group, not a single negative comment towards another member.

I have been doing slimming world for a few weeks now and was looking for people to chat to and swap ideas so I don't start getting bored.

I am desperatly trying to loose weight after having 2 children close together ( 1year 2 weeks difference in age). My youngest is now 8 weeks.

I lost 4.5lbs 1st week
3.5lbs 2nd week
3lbs 3rd week
1lb 4th week
4lbs 5th week
3lbs 6th week
and it is my weigh in tonight it would be nice to get a 2lb loss and get my 1 1/2 stone and also my club 10.

my top tip is to eat scan bran it is a s food and goes straight through you :-)

laloop · 05/06/2007 16:31

Well done rhysmiamum and rooicosta on the weightloss

I'm not doing too well today so far. Haven't really eaten properly because I missed breakfast due to a very disorganised morning. So I have no idea whether I'm on an original or green day as yet still!

Still trying my best to learn the basic rules of the diet (PC printer has run out of ink so I can't print off the food lists, grrr, so I have to log on to the SW website everytime I need to check any info! If anyone can help me make sense of what I've had to eat today in relation to the SW plan and tips on what to go for at dinnertime now, I'd be very grateful

So far today
Breakfast (none, although normally do eat breakfast everyday)

Lunch - in cafe with ds2 - had home-made mushroom soup, half a slice of wheaten bread plus scrape of butter

Mid-afternoon - (got a bit of a snack-attack going on this afternoon) small handful of low-fat crisps plus 1tbsp of reduced fat sour cream dip; half a soda farl with scrape of flora extra light and 1tsp of jam, cup of tea

Dinner ???

Thanks

laloop · 05/06/2007 16:37

Hi caykon and bebopbop

bebopbop · 05/06/2007 18:16

Thanks for the info, just logged on and lots of recipes etc....!

Hope my weight loss is good as some of you here, I have so much to lose and when I think about how many stones to my healthy BMI weight I want to cry !!

Will let you know how I get on...

Well done on all your losses too!

CayKon · 05/06/2007 19:56

I lost 1lb tonight, I am a bit dissapointed as i wanted 2 for my 1 1/2 stone, and I haven't been naughty at all so a bit gutting

Gracie14 · 05/06/2007 20:08

Hi all,

Only 1lb loss this week, but I really thought that I had put on so at least thats soemthing. 10 and a half pounds overall so I'm quite pleased even if it is a slow process.

Still another stone to go though

Nemo2007 · 05/06/2007 20:44

Well done all on the losses...1lb off is better than none

Hello to newbies..

caykon you are similair to me for age gaps as I have a 3yr old,17mth old and 5mth old so can empathise with slimming while your time is not your own at all..lol

bebopbop I have a HUGE amount of weight to loose and it seems a momentous task but I am just taking it a stone at a time. Set mini goals and see how it goes from there.I have set myself a treat at each stone lost so my first stone = bottle of perfume,2nd = haircut etc etc.

Well it is my weigh in tommorow and I have had KFC this week so anything off is better than a kick in the teeth. Am just hoping it will be ok as I limit to 10syns a day and most days dont use them all. Have really struggled this week which is odd as the weather has been nice and usually inspires me to eat better.

Nemo2007 · 05/06/2007 20:45

TMMJ where are you?? Its usually your night tonight isnt it?

andyrobo237 · 05/06/2007 21:18

Well I went and paid my money today and I am a fully paid up SW member! The Consultant is lovely (also one of the Mums from school but she is discrete!!). Took DS with me and he had a screaming fit (not like him - 16 weeks old) but fortunately not when she was doing the talking! Got to read the stuff tonight and plan a few days and then go shopping for the food - well that is the idea! Just emptied the rubbish from the fridge (into a bin bag not me!!) so all raring to go!

I want to lose 2lb a week - so wish me luck!

ok - I have only reappeared back on mumsnet for the SlimmingWorld threads - cross my heart! I need you guys..
Used to be a fully paid up, never miss a meeting girl, but too ashamed to go back after putting on every pound and more since last summer - eek. So... I am going it alone until I am a little lighter and can face "her" again.. Until then I shall track this thread and find inspiration amongst you lot to keep me on the right track. Day two now and doing fine..
although I am not convinced I can use one of those yummy Healthy Balance crunchy Muller corner things as a healthy cereal type extra, but starting with a little license until I am back into swing of low alcohol and minimum chocolate ..sigh

fireflyfairy2 · 05/06/2007 21:29

Well done on all the losses this week!!!

Welcome to the new members

Laloop... I have just saw your post & I guess I am too late to recommend a green/red dinner

One word of warning though... stay away from the soda bread It's so not worth it

Wheaten bread is almost as bad!!!

laloop · 05/06/2007 21:45

Hi to everyone
Managed to eventually find the syns listing for soda bread online, fff2 - lesson learned

Going to try to be more organised tomorrow and eat more free foods, today was far too "snacky", too many syns.
