fireflyfairy2 · 01/06/2007 17:53

Heya Laloop

Welcome

I have to go now & leave me mam home but will post more in a bit

laloop · 01/06/2007 17:54

Thanks Nemo
I'm going to begin tomorrow morning so will download the menu planner to get started

laloop · 01/06/2007 17:55

Hi fff2, catch up with you later

fireflyfairy2 · 01/06/2007 20:49

Back

Had to eat out today with my mam, we opted for baked potatoes, all the while my mam was saying "Are you allowed that? Isn't that fattening?"

She then pointed to the 2 girls beside me & said that would have been better for me.... a chicken burger with mayo, lettuce & tomato! She thinks 'cos there was something green on it that it was salad!! LOL

I haven't had my evening meal yet as I had to take my mam home, so am just sat here debating what to have Have some lovely granary bread which would be lovely toasted with some poached eggs, or beans I suppose... decisions, decisions!

Nemo2007 · 01/06/2007 20:53

Scrambled egg, beans and toasted granary...mmmm

fireflyfairy2 · 01/06/2007 22:21

I had toasted granary [I had 2 slices, is one slice a HE? So I can count the 2 as HE's seeing as how I haven't had another one today?]

And 2 poached eggs slightly runny YUMMMMY

Then I had a bowl of pineapple, banana & grapes with mullerlight poured over it

Boy am I glad that we have no crisps in the house as I have an awful craving for them at the minute!!

I do have about 4 bars of Green & Black's maya gold though & an Easter egg!!!

jadeybaby · 02/06/2007 01:41

thanks 4 advise guys. have great weekend everyone

fireflyfairy2 · 02/06/2007 13:27

I've just had the tomato & onion pasta from Tesco. It is yuk. Whatever you do don't eat it!!

It had the most false flavour of tomatoes I have ever tasted & the onions looked like toe nail clippings!

I even had my 28g of cheddar grated over the top of it but it didn't manage to disguise the taste of the sauce

Off to have a slice of watermelon or something to remove the yukky taste.

Dh & dd made fifteens & other wee buns this morning It's testing my willpower!

Nemo2007 · 02/06/2007 13:35

fireflyfairy you can resist

I had a whole 6 large choccie buttons last night as they are 1.5sysn for 2..mmmmmmmmm Have never made chocolate last so long before..lol

Am trying out a curry recipe tonight so will let you all know how it goes.

Keep thinking I wont have lost this week although I have not eaten much with one thing and another and havent been bad...yet

fireflyfairy2 · 02/06/2007 14:57

You will have lost! I think you can tell before you go most weeks if you have lost or gained.

I almost gasped in shock at a lady in our class on Wed night saying she had weighed herself at the chemist before class

Why????? Why pay £4.50 to be weighed after spending £2.50 in the chemist???

I have had a tiny slice of a fifteen... anyone like to hazard a guess at how many syns are in them?? Are cherries free? They are a fruit after all

laloop · 02/06/2007 17:16

Hi
Started today on an Original day.

Have worked out today's food as follows (hope I'm starting to get the hang of it):

Breakfast - mushroom omelette (free)

Lunch - 1 slice of Burgen Soya and Linseed bread (6 syns) plus 1tsp Flora extralight (0.5 syn) plus 28g cheddar (HE"A"). Strawberries (free)

Tonight for dinner we'll be having steak (free), green beans (free) with olive oil (HE"B") and chilli and garlic (free) plus new potatoes (HE"B")

Maybe have some Greek yoghurt and fruit after dinner if I can work out the syns value and I have enough to cover it. And NO wine which is unbelievable for a Saturday night

Hope you're all having a nice weekend

mrsRabbit · 02/06/2007 17:27

Hello, just wondering if any one can offer me some advice. I found out that I was pg on Monday and have been following weight watchers. Is it still ok to do or does anyone know of a slimming club you can attend when pg. I no that your not really meant to lose weight when you are pg but am concerned about how big Im going to get if I don't.

rhysmiamum · 02/06/2007 17:41

Hello MrsRabbit

As you've posted on a Slimming World thread then I assume you question to us is if you can follow SW whilst being pg....well yes you can. Not sure if you know SW plan at all but when pg / bf you have extra healthy extras though can't remember how many as my youngest is 2 now so it was a while ago!

HTH

rhymiamum

(p.s. on a red day and just have 4 mcd's chicken nugs - heaven! )

fireflyfairy2 · 02/06/2007 20:42

Hey everyone

MrsRabbit, it's fine to follow sw if pregnant & whilst breastfeeding

Laloop, your dinner sounds lovely!!

You're getting the hang of it rightly

Nemo2007 · 02/06/2007 21:36

OMg Dh weighed himself on our home scales and since we started he has lost over a stone lol Although I weighed myself as well and am showing 6lb lighter than this time last week but am sure that wont be the end result..lol

fireflyfairy2 · 03/06/2007 00:27

Dh had chinese & brought home some prawn crackers that I have just polished off

Should survive it though, if I don't have many syns the rest of the week

Rooicosta · 03/06/2007 10:40

Is anyone having problems getting onto the Lifeline online website? Tried several times this morning but it just fails.

Loving this weather! The BBQ was out yesterday and it's ideal for red days. Had some chicken kebabs and salad for tea last night and it was yummy! Shame about the wine that followed....

Doing something similar again today but WITHOUT the wine lol!

fireflyfairy2 · 03/06/2007 12:46

Hiya, I can access it fine

Glad it's nice weather where you are, as it's lashing here! I'm sat at the french doors in my kitchen watching a puddle form at the bottom of the kids' slide!

The kids are watching a film & Dh is baking bread! I am so lazy today... we are having chausser chicken, mushrooms, onions & boiled rice for dinner, fancied a change from a roast!

Hi

Stick to free foods today & tomorrow. Fill up on fruit & try to exercise as much as possible.

Drink plenty of water [means you pee loads]

I have been really slack today, have only just got my breakfast! I took dd to school & then went a walk with ds in the buggy. Came home, hung washing & did the kitchen. It wasn't until I sat down I realised I was hungry!

What day are you having? Green or Original? Maybe someone can give you some lovely & tasty ideas for lunch & dinner if you tell us what you have in

laloop · 04/06/2007 11:41

Hi MMJ
I'm new to the Slimming World diet, but have managed to salvage a bad weekend before weigh-in day (on Weightwatchers) by drinking loads of water and no bread. Good luck for tomorrow night

I had a good day food-wise yesterday, followed the guidelines well. But had a few glasses of red wine with dinner. I was out running yesterday so I'm hoping this may help to balance out the wine

Today I'm doing a green day so boiled eggs on toast for breakfast, veg soup followed by yoghurt and banana for lunch, sausages and mash for dinner.

fireflyfairy2 · 04/06/2007 12:33

Laloop, when is your race for life?

I am doing the one in Coleraine uni grounds with my 2 sisters & my niece

Needless to say I will walk/jog it whilst my sisters sprint it

Ours is on fathers day!

laloop · 04/06/2007 12:46

Hi fff2

It was yesterday, in the rain. I had to run around Stormont grounds including from the gates up the main drive (that hill, a full mile!!) the whole way up to Parliament buildings and then back around part of the grounds. Did it in just over 28 mins so was happy enough. Hope you enjoy your race, even 2 weeks training will get you running/jogging a fair bit of it It's a really moving experience, reading the dedications on the backs of the participants' t-shirts had tears in my eyes. I'm tentatively looking out for a 10k to train for now, maybe in September.

BTW, if you've started jogging, why not join in on the exercise buddies thread - loads of good tips etc, everyone welcome

fireflyfairy2 · 04/06/2007 12:50

Bloody well done!! 28mins!! I am going to tell my sister that!! She ran a 5 mile run on Wed night in just under 39minutes, she keeps trying to beat her own time!! It sounds too much like hard work to me

I have been walking every morning so maybe tomorrow when ds is at c/minder I will build up to a slow jog

Do you know if there was a girl called Trudy Brown doing it yesterday? I know her sister & was wondering if they had ran it.

I hadn't realised you had to have dedications on the back of your shirts.... how do you do that? Will it be in the pack [that I have shoved behind the empty fruit bowl]

Will check out the joggers thread
