DONT DO IT
you can do it - my friend & I regularly used to share a chinese on a friday night but the amount of syns arent worth it

if you have to, go green & have boiled rice or noodles and veg curry or something dry

(am jealous though - I have aubergine & potato bake which Ive just made - will report back later if it tastes ok)

mistressmiggins · 25/05/2007 19:43

aubergine & potato bake - yummy!!

feel sick (maintenance issues with ex churring me but forced myself to eat)

very very nice

adapted receipe but tastes great & syn free on green

can you see my halo

Nemo2007 · 25/05/2007 20:51

my halo slipped but do you know what for the first time ever I ate it then thought..no that really wasnt worth it!!! I think we may have reached a turning point as I usually just yearn for it more!!

fireflyfairy2 · 25/05/2007 23:47

OOh Nemo, what did you have?

I had sw chips, cod in breadcrumbs [5 syns for breadcrumbs] and mushy peas

Was delicious Also have has some chopped up pineapple chunks. [and a square of chocolate[

jadeybaby · 26/05/2007 05:42

Hiya can any one help! Is it just batchelors pasta and sauce or can u eat a tescos own make tomato and pasta packet? any help much appreciated jade X

BethAndHerBrood · 26/05/2007 10:35

I'm going to make the aubergine and potato bake for tea I think. I'm still home alone, apart the DC, so I can make it and eat it all if it's yummy!! Then I can make it again in the week for DH and I. Is it supposed to be a meal in itself, or is it an accompaniment to something else?

OP posts:
rhysmiamum · 26/05/2007 17:21

silly question i'm sure but do you eat the skin on aubergine?

thank you

fireflyfairy2 · 26/05/2007 18:39

Yes, you can/do eat the skin of an aubergine![Well, I do anyway, but then I eat the skin of kiwi & not a lot of others I know do that!]

Jadeybaby, tomato & onion & Tuna & sweetcorn are free in Tesco range.

Low syn ones are: chicken & mushroom, wine & garlic, creamy mushroom, tomato & mushroom, cheese & ham & cheese & brocolli.

The above range from 0.5syns til 2.5syns

HTH

Nemo2007 · 27/05/2007 09:53

mmm need inspiration for tea tonight..green day but dont want pasta as did bolognaise last night with a little pasta[he]

quadrophenia · 27/05/2007 10:15

arghhhhhhhhhhh am going out for a meal tonight, i hate the thought of having a sald but i can't see an alternative, boooo hisss. nemo i would have a roast dinner today if having a green day without the meat or a small bit of chicken as a healthy extra.

BethAndHerBrood · 27/05/2007 11:45

Hoorah!! DH home today!!

So, for tea the delights of tikka quorn and salad await him!! He'll wish he had stayed away!!

Just been to Sainsbury's, and went in the refurbished cafe. Had a latte and a mini muffin and one wafery chocolatey stick thing. Bought DS2 some of those organix carrot stick things. No one told me everyone should wear orange clothes when they are been eaten!! I am covered in orange powdery slavvery stuff! Yuk!!

For dinner last night I had beef chow mein [5.5syns] & boiled rice. I shared it with dh though, but it was lovely!! That's why I love sw! I can still have my face take away on a Sat night & not feel deprived!

Today I have had oat so simple for breakfast & we're going to tesco shortly [I have just had the oat so simple as I was busy then wondered why I was hungry!] I am having roast chicken for dinner later, with boiled potaoes, roasties done in fry light, peas, carrots, sprouts & cauliflower I love my Sunday dinner!!

How about a veg stir fry [whoever it was asked fir ideas for tea] Lovely crunchy green peppers, carrots, onions, water chestnuts etc... Yum! Nothing I love more

Rooicosta · 27/05/2007 18:52

Oh no, totally fallen off the wagon today, grrrr!

Went to ASK for lunch and had Bruschetta with tomatoes and rocket to start, followed by Penne pasta with chicken and pesto. It was really nice but the pasta was drenched in pesto oil and I ended up leaving quite a bit of it as it was just to greasy. Oh well, that'll teach me.

Must confess that I also had a Caramel Deluxe McFlurry...very yummy indeed but as not to tempt you, they're about 18 syns!

I guess I'll have to write today off as a bad day and start afresh tomorrow.

fireflyfairy2 · 27/05/2007 20:12

You had salad & pasta!! Well Done you!!!! And sure a mcflurry in the grand scheme of things is grand

We had a lovely roast dinner then dh made he & the kids a rhubabr crumble & custard... I had a fruit salad!! Well, I sneaked bits of crumble of ds's plate when I was cooling it for him

Nemo2007 · 27/05/2007 20:46

roo you did fine as you left bits that where greasy etc.

Fireflyfairy bless you I have been tempted when the kids have left bits of stuff like lovely chocolate rolls to just nibble a bit but am resisting or feeding them to the dog..lol

We ended up having the egg fried rice with tandoori chicken as HE. Didnt do a roast as going to pil tommorow and they always do a roast.

fireflyfairy2 · 28/05/2007 11:18

Oh no... Dh has gone to work & left that damn Rhubarb crumble in my full view

It is taking all my will power not to get a spoon, heat the rhubarb crumble & eat it with vanilla ice-cream He is in trouble when he comes home tonight

Trying very hard.. have just been to town & bought a new top, was thrilled to find a size 14 is comfortable again

Beadmum · 28/05/2007 11:37

hi everyone, not been on in ages as my motivation disappeared at easter with all that chocolate to eat
been back on track over the weekend and am doing better, find it easier to write down my food every day so heres hoping for good loss this week

lunavix · 28/05/2007 20:37

how do you crumb fish? I was thinking of doing a homemade fish and chips but no idea how to crumb it...

lunavix · 28/05/2007 20:37

and what's nice with it? I'm not wasting a HE on peas! And I don't like sweetcorn...
