Thanks for the welcome guys!!

Yeah - this has definately been the best diet for me so far I am a complete pasta freak and couldn't live without my carbs. I tend to stick to green days during the week and then have red days at the weekends so I can have low fat bacon and eggs for breakfast!!

I thought i had messed up big time last nite as I went out for an all you can eat chinese but when I got home I had actually lost half a pound!! I did stick to mainly meat and fish though and only had few noodles, etc.

kid · 22/07/2007 19:09

I am struggling to not eat the chocolates that were bought for me at work. I wish someone else would help me eat them so they would be finished sooner!

IndigoMoon · 23/07/2007 10:23

i have stood on my scales and i have def put on weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

am so upset with myself

i weigh in on wednesday.

Fireflyfairy2 · 23/07/2007 11:37

Try to pull it right back honey, stick to free foods from now 'til weigh-in

We went out for a meal last night. I had pasta with a tomato, mushroom & pepper sauce, with smoked bacon through it... delicious!!! So hopefully I didn't do to badly.

We went for a picnic through the day yesterday. I found it slightly hard knowing what to pack. Ended up using 2 slices of wholemeal bread as a HEb [the allinson loaves you get 2 slices for a HE!!] And putting egg on it. Also made some pasta & put a dressing on it. Fruit & yoghurt & that was what I had. I am going to ask our consultant for some picnic ideas.

daisybo · 23/07/2007 12:50

just weighed myself and i've lost another 2lbs! so that's 7lbs in 3 weeks, am sooo happy i've got to half a stone
i'm sure it's cos i'm still exclusively breastfeeding dd and she is a big hungry baby, she's 6 months on weds so gonna start weaning - don't think i'll find it so easy to lose weight then!

daisybo · 23/07/2007 13:48

does anyone know how many syns are in a reeeses peanut butter cup please? i've got some in the cupboard and really want to eat one, i know they're bad, just not sure how bad..........

Fireflyfairy2 · 23/07/2007 16:50

I have a food directory daisybo, but Reeses isn't in it,sorry.

kid · 23/07/2007 22:27

Check the label to see the following details and then I can tell you how many syns it is.

Per 100g
calories (Kcal)
protein
carbohydrate
fat
package/portion size (g)

kid · 23/07/2007 22:32

Okay, just found them.
A 42g pack is 11.5 syns on both days.
A 51g pack is 14 syns on both days.

(they are made by Hershey's)

IndigoMoon · 24/07/2007 11:52

Well i have been really good and this morning I stood on the scales and it appears that I am back where i was to start with before i started pigging out. fingers crossed for a maintain. i have been really strict the last few days.

i must say this slip up has taught me an inportant lesson. that it really is not worth the blow out.

kid · 24/07/2007 16:03

Any advice on how to stick to SW while on holiday from work?
I usually work full-time but have 6 weeks off. All I want to do it eat! I am trying to occupy myself by tidying the house and decorating but that won't last forever!

Fireflyfairy2 · 24/07/2007 16:12

Have a fruit basket in every room & fill it to the brim with fruit!!

That's how I usually catch up after gaining weight. I don't buy anything I can binge on, like crisps or nuts, just fruit.

That way, if you feel like eating, the fruit will be there & it's as easy to wash an apple as it is to pull open a bag of crisps.

Stock up on the curly wurlys at only 6 syns if you feel like a chocolate treat

kid · 24/07/2007 16:20

I have plenty of fruit here so thats good. All Mullerlights are free on SW aren't they? (Please say yes!)

Fireflyfairy2 · 24/07/2007 16:22

Not all of them, no.

All the fruit ones are.

The ones with cake pieces have syns in them

kid · 24/07/2007 16:24

Thats the wrong answer!
I love the lemon cheesecake one and the banana custard one. Break it to me gently, how many syns have I just had?!

Fireflyfairy2 · 24/07/2007 16:26

There's 4 syns in the banana custard one.

There's only 0.5syn in the lemon cheesecake one though

1 syn in the strawberry cheesecake one.

kid · 24/07/2007 16:28

While I was waiting for your reply, I check SW online and it says the banana custard one is free on both days, the lemon cheesecake one is 1/2 syn for 175g.
Those are my favourite ones but I might switch to a free version.
Thanks for the info even if its not what I wanted to hear

Fireflyfairy2 · 24/07/2007 16:30

Ohh the banana custard says in my book it's 4 syns..hang on:

Awww i'm looking at the Yogz mixems banana & custard/strawberry milkshake 8 pck

Sorry for scaring you!

kid · 24/07/2007 16:38

yeah I bet you are!
So the banana custard yoghurt is free
I'm not buying the lemon cheesecake ones anymore.
I shouldn't let that small number of syns worry me after the amount of chocolate I have eaten this week

Fireflyfairy2 · 24/07/2007 21:12

I'm going to turn into a peach tree if I eat anymore of the damn things!!!

I've just booked my holiday for next July so I have a whole year to get in shape for both the holiday & my graduation!!!

kid · 25/07/2007 09:14

i'm going on holiday in 19 days
I won't reach my target but I want to get as close to it as I can.

hoeggie · 25/07/2007 16:31

Does anyone here know the sw receipe for thai green curry (with quorn on a green day)? Is it just the normal low fat coconut milk, thai green paste, etc? And also, how many sins it has in it? Thanks!!xx

Fireflyfairy2 · 25/07/2007 22:03

Hi Hoeggie, have you looked on the sw website yet?

The p/word this week is onion.

I lost 4.5lb this week so am thrilled

Fireflyfairy2 · 25/07/2007 22:04

Hi kid

Where are you off to on holidays?

If it is somewhere warm, chances are you won't feel like eating much. Our holiday to France was rainy, cold & dull... therefore I ate like a soldier! Enough bread to sink a battleship......... & enough smirnoff ice to float it again!

Twilighttime · 25/07/2007 22:48

I'm thinking of joining SW but am seriously lacking in willpower. The people I've been talking to on another page (or is it thread) have said it's easy to stick to and someone suggested I go on the SW thread and ask for advice, so here I am!
