Lumos · 17/07/2007 12:21

Haven't been here for a couple of weeks (and have namechanged) Just read back and everyone seems to be doing really well. Only problem with reading back is i'm bloody hungry after reading some of the recipes

I have lost 13.5 lbs in 6 weeks. Couldn't be excited that I'd lost 2 lb this week, I was too gutted i didn't get to the stone after putting on 0.5 lb last week. Oh well onwards and upwards (or should that be downwards)

kid · 17/07/2007 17:13

13.5lb weightloss is great, especially in 6 weeks. Keep up the good work, you are obviously doing something right!

RoundTheBend · 17/07/2007 22:34

Hello! I have lost 4lbs this week.. Have to say, the "fast forward" week is pretty grim, you are ALWAYS hungry. It is basically like Weight Watchers, you get to count units for a week. Because of my height, weight and the amount of exercise I do, I was allowed 23 units. Breakfast was half a fresh grapefruit, 2 weetabix with skimmed milk (5 units), medium apple as snack (1 unit), poached eggs on toast for lunch (5 units), 2 plums as snack (1 unit) and a caloried controlled dinner (350 cals or less)8 units and my treat to myself, 2 x 250ml spirit with diet coke (2 units). There are quite a few different mix and matches you can do but it is really, really hard. You are not allowed to keep the menus once your week is up because they do not want you to repeat it. Not something I would recommend as I say, because you are virtually so starving all the time! Back to optomising now thank goodness.

kid · 17/07/2007 22:54

I have seen something either on their website or from a pack I got on Ebay that has food units. I assume that would be the fast forward. After reading what you said about it, I think I will give it a miss for now.
Well done on losing 4lb, that is good and is a boost for you to continue doing well.

Lumos · 18/07/2007 10:00

Roundthebend well done on 4lbs this week thats fab! Sounded like hard work!!!

daisybo · 18/07/2007 16:47

IndigoMoon · 18/07/2007 18:21

another lb off and i have now lost a stone.

am so chuffed chuffed chuffed!!!!!!!!!

i am going to stick to it rigidly next week.

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

daisybo · 18/07/2007 18:26

congratulations indigomoon, am v for you!
i am hoping and praying i will reach my half stone on monday, although it is our 5th anniversary tommorrow and going out for pizza so i very much doubt it will hapeen!!
plus it's the first time we've been out together since dd was born and she's 6 months old next week, so am going to make the most of the baby sitter and not watch what i eat/drink at all!

zookeeper · 18/07/2007 19:54

Hi everyone - I have some red lentils soaking to do something with tomorrow - anyone got any ideas please for a meal on Green?

kid · 18/07/2007 20:49

I have printed out the fast forward plan and am considering doing it next week. I am not sure I could stick to it. If I did it, do you think I could just have the same meal eachday as I don't like the look of most things on the list!

Fireflyfairy2 · 19/07/2007 08:30

Password this week is banana

Hi everyone, I'm back.... 7lb heavier than when I went AWOL 4 weeks ago

Can you believe I gained 7lb in 4 weeks? I have to say I am not totally shocked as we were away abroad for a week & my healthy eating went straight out the window! We had chips & pizza & bread

So.. have my food diary sat here, my fruit in the bowl, the fridge is full of muller lights & my cupboards are full to bursting with free pasta & pkts of rice.....

Dh is losing weight with me this time so hopefully it will be a wee bit easier

Good Luck everyone else.. I have a feeling I will find it very dificult to lose this 7lb again

Fireflyfairy2 · 19/07/2007 08:30

difficult

tiredemma · 19/07/2007 08:43

Hi all.

Have not posted on SW thread for what seems like weeks- had a bit of a lapse- put on a couple of pounds and became totally pissed off 'whats the point?'

missed last weeks weigh in due to being on placement......however..

....went tonight and have hit a stone loss!! I was so surprised- really thought I would go back and find I had put more weight on, but no- finally am under 9stone for the first time in about 4 years.

Im so chuffed with myself- it has given me a massive urge to shift another stone and then ill be at the weight I was pre- kids ( Oh those were the days!)

So that was 1 stone in 10 weeks, hard work though.

Fireflyfairy2 · 19/07/2007 14:25

Well Done Emma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!

I think I am doing ok today so far.

Have had:

Banana, grapes, orange & a muller light mixed together for brekkie.

Then had a 98% fat free pot noodle for tea with an orange & a pint of water.

Am having potatoes, chicken & veg for dinner.

Trying hard not to hve any syns as I really want a good weight loss this week to try & combat my mighty gain last night

kid · 20/07/2007 07:39

Managed a 2lb loss this week, thats 12lb I have lost since starting! Almost lost a stone and its been really easy, most of the time.

babyducky · 20/07/2007 10:58

morning,

have just weighed myself after my first week & have lost 3lb so quite pleased.

well done kid on your weight loss, & tiredemma.

hoeggie · 20/07/2007 12:56

Hello there everyone!!

I am new to this forum and I must confess that I don't have any children and am not pregnant either. I just wanted to join because of this thread and the fact that I have just started slimming world. I have lost 3lbs in a week which I'm really chuffed about but there are a few questions I have (because I am doing it on my own rather than going to classes, etc).

I have been having bran flakes with sultanas for breakfast as one of my healthy extras but I am unsure of how much I can have. Am I right in thinking it is 28g?

Also, is this a healthy extra on a green or a red day?

Thanks guys!!xx

Joby1970 · 20/07/2007 13:59

Well done on the weight losses everyone clap, clap

Welcome to Hoeggie - I think its a HE on both - but best someone else confirms. You've deff chosen the best weight loss program to follow.

Fireflyfairy2 · 20/07/2007 20:39

Hoeggie, Welcome

I don't think I have been too bad today. Had fresh fruit salad for brekkie.

Pkt pasta with 113g chicken for lunch.

For dinner I had a packet of batchelors fried rice, boiled, then transferred to a pan with fry light, added an egg & have just eaten it all

Will have some fruit afterwards I think.
How's everyone else doing?

IndigoMoon · 21/07/2007 16:14

have been BAD BAD BAD

I do this, i get to a certain point and i start self destructing.

i reached my stone on wednesday - so wed was a little bit loose with the syns.

Thursday i was a bit relaxed with it all but still kept to it in essence but then realised at the end of the day i had three healthy extra b choices and not enough syns to cover it.

friday - started with toast and butter! progressed to meal out. then went out last night and drank quite a lot of vodka and then on the way home i stopped at the chip shop and ate chips and sausage!!!!!!!!!!

i am quite disgusted with myself if i am honest.

have been super good so far today. worried now though that will gain on wednesday and not get my certificate as i could not wait for it last week as have to go to work.

Fireflyfairy2 · 21/07/2007 16:17

You should still get your certificate as you did hit your stone target.

I had a month off sw & gained 7lb But back to class last Wed & have been really trying.

We're booking our holiday for next year soon & my sisters are coming with us... so I really want to lose the rest of this weight before then... we will probably be going to swimming pools & playing football etc... [eeekekk]

The more I try to rationalise it to myself "I only have 20lb more to go" The more I think "Yeah.... but 20lb is loads"

IndigoMoon · 21/07/2007 18:04

fff - if i am honest - i dont really want it unless i am still a stone under my starting weight.

i have been so so so hungry today!!!

i am eating free food like it is going out of fashion.

IndigoMoon · 21/07/2007 18:07

20lb is a lot when you say it as 20lb but its a stone and a half. does that sound better????

maybe set mini targets along the way

i am going for 11st 6lb and then 11st.

then i am going to go from there.

i am 11,10 at the moment (well i was until the chips)

Fireflyfairy2 · 21/07/2007 22:52

I was 11.12lb when I started.

I went down to 10.3lb before I went on holidays, now am up to 10.10lb

I need to get down to about 8.7lb which is actually more than 20lb now I have gained the bloody 7lb on holidays

Hopefully I will have a good loss this week.

I know what you mean about never being full, even though I have been eating free foods as much as I can Today I have used 6 syns on a curly wurly & I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I have veg chow mein for dinner, so not a lot of syns in that & a huge bowl of fruit salad for afters.

If you stick to free foods from now until weigh in you can pull it back...maybe a bit more exercise til next weigh in too?

What day do you weigh in again?
