Thank you 3xamum

I'm trying to resist that sausage roll shouting at me from the kitchen!! Otherwise the weightloss will be a gain next week!

BigHotMama · 27/06/2007 14:24

I lost a pound this week so only have 2lb to go for my stone off, this has taken me about 8 weeks with mi of WW then went onto SW as can eat so much more. Got 5 wks to go for my hols and would love to get to stone and half.

Well done everyone

Anybody got any fab ideas for mince meat on a red day???

TimeForMe · 27/06/2007 14:44

beef burgers? Bolognese?

Erm.. thinking, thinking....

TimeForMe · 27/06/2007 14:44

Well done re the weightloss by the way. Keep up the good work and you should reach your target in time for your holiday

IndigoMoon · 27/06/2007 17:59

i do not feel like i have lost. it has been two weeks since weigh in and the first week i was a bit lax.

this week i have been better but monday went horribly wrong with lack of planning and the nice sausages at the butchers just called to me.

we will see.

kid · 27/06/2007 19:08

Can I just ask a question about SW. Is it better to use all of your syns or will you lose more weight if you stick to the lower end of the syns allowance?
I am allowed between 5 and 15 syns but rarely use over 6. I am wondering if I would lose more (or some!) weight if I did have all 15 syns per day.

IndigoMoon · 27/06/2007 21:49

woo hoo i lost a pound and a half!!!!!!!!!!!

so nine pounds in total over 5 weigh ins but seven weeks!!!

am chuffed chuffed chuffed.

my consultant says to use a minimum of five syns.

she also says that using the two b options is paramount!!!!

also drinking more water and eating scan bran

laloop · 28/06/2007 08:54

Hi again, I joined in here a couple of weeks ago but haven't posted for a while because I've strayed off the diet big time. Want to get back on track again so will weigh this morning and start afresh.

I'm thinking of buying some new bathroom scales, has anyone got any recommendations? Would love a set that has a body fat measurement etc. Don't want to spend too much and would like to get them from Argos if possible as I have a £10 voucher to use up

loobysmum · 28/06/2007 09:19

Hi everyone. Not been on for a couple of months or so, but trying to get back on track after spending the time going backwards and forwards over the same couple of pounds and getting nowhere! Determined to get my motivation back and stick to the plan but I am having a panic cos I?m working today and have managed to leave my carefully prepared lunch and snacks at home (aaaaargh!). Can anyone help me out with any suggestions for a green-friendly lunch from somewhere like Marks or Sainsbury?s or Boots? Before 12.30?? Pleeeze???

laloop · 28/06/2007 09:29

Loobysmum, have checked Food Directory for you...

BOOTS (syns for a GREEN day)

King Prawn with Noodles Salad - 250g pot - 3 syns

Moroccan Couscous with Chicken salad - 250g pot - 5 syns

Prawn and Pasta salad - 228g pot - 2.5 syns

Shapers Houmous and roasted vegetables salad - 5 syns

laloop · 28/06/2007 09:33

Boots Shapers Yoghurts - the Greek style Apple, strawberry and kiwi one and also the rhubarb one are FREE. The other Shapers ones have between 1 and 3 syns each per pot.

loobysmum · 28/06/2007 10:09

Laloop, you?re a star! Thanks for going to so much trouble. I shall be heading over to Boots at lunchtime for a King Prawn and Noodle salad ? you are a lifesaver!

Have started off okay today, here's hoping my willpower has returned

Made a big fruit salad for breakfast with mango, banana, strawberries and raspberries. Just had an early lunch of 2 boiled eggs, 2 slices of toast and a scrape of butter. The toast was made from Burgen's Soya and Linseed bread as it's the only type I have in the house at the moment (really need to get out to the shops for some Slimming World friendly foods!). Does anyone know if this bread can be used as a Healthy Extra choice or will I have to count the syns?

Not sure whether to go Green or Original for the day. Dh is working late so I'll either be eating with the dc's or making myself something easy.

BigHotMama · 28/06/2007 16:14

Laloop, I absolutely lurve that bread and it cant be used as a HE I'm afraid, am sure the syns value is around 7syns per slice, somebody mentioned it on this thread few weeks ago when I first came on and cant find it now.

I got a great tip cut down on bread btw - use Flora Extra Light its bloody rank and makes me not want to eat bread at all.

Am addicted to corn on the cobs and sliced potatoes covered in herbs at the moment and its great cuz they're free!

DH just got back from asda and they have stopped selling fry light..gutted...have bought the flora sunflower spray, does anybody know if its free?

IndigoMoon · 28/06/2007 17:02

my consultant advises against bread.

i used to be a real glutton for bread and could get through 4 slices plus in a day!

however now i often dont have any all day and the weight is coming off!!!!

i have ryvita crackers for lunch and fruit for breakfast on most days.

laloop · 28/06/2007 17:25

Good tip about the Flora light, Bighotmama

Can't believe that I've used up today's syns allowance on two slices of bread ...Will stock up on Ryvita as suggested, used to quite like the Raisin ones.

Have decided to have veg stirfry and rice for tea. Had massive snack cravings this afternoon - thankfully no chocolate in the house so I had a couple of carrot sticks instead, so it's all good so far except for the bread...

BigHotMama · 28/06/2007 17:57

I love Ryvita but havent had any for ages, will have to stock up! Might try and give bread up for a week see if it speeds the weight loss for my holiday. It will be tough going without bread though as I'm addicted.

Tonight's tea is chick pea dahl with rice and sliced herby potatoes. Veg stirfry sounds nice too!

assumpta · 28/06/2007 18:10
