IndigoMoon · 21/06/2007 16:54

hi all

did not go to class this week as yesterday went to ascot.

and drank and then drank some more and mainly ate crap and at the end of the day i had a magnum.

i have not been good at all for about half a week and got on the scales this morning and it shows so i am being good from here on in!!!!!!!

i think i am going to do pasta and vegetables for dinner.

fingers crossed i will be the same or not gained next week

mandaxmx · 21/06/2007 17:18

hi all ,
well was feeling a bit shitty as i had put on this week and feel even worse today just found out i have a underactive thyroid...so me getting to my target is getting harder by the day haha but ohwell just keep at it and see what happens x

fireflyfairy2 · 21/06/2007 17:53

Hi all, well done to everyone who has lost this week

I think I gained 3lb on my own scales as I never went to class this week.... but I am back on track today.

Had a bowl of fresh fruit for breakfast, pasta n sauce for lunch & am having pasta & sauce & pork for dinner.

BigHotMama · 21/06/2007 18:49

Mandax, sorry to hear about your thyroid, thats a bugger as you have to work even harder apparently? I always longed for an overactive one so could eat as much as I like. Am sure if you stick to the plan and get support from us on here you'll do fine!

Today I got my 1st compliment - Ooooh you've lost weight? Felt great and made me want to lose more. Last night was having doubts that I'll never be slim as I seemed to have stuck although shouldne be weighing myself until tomorrow.

Curry recipe sounds yum! Will defo be trying that one.

Well done to all the ladies who have lost and if you havent lost, just pick yourself up and start again tomorrow, we will all have weeks where we dont get the results we want.

Excercise can make you weigh heavier but is firming your body up so you lose inches. Might be worth us all measuring up and seeing if we are? My legs feel firmer as been running and doing davina dvd pump workouts ouch!

Tonight we arehaving the SW recipe for fish and chips and sticking some asda chickpea dahl with it, scrumptious!

EverLovelyChubby · 22/06/2007 14:11

I have a general question for those gals that like a bit of a naughty "nibble" on weigh-in day. I am one of these people and having a naughty day today (Friday is my new weigh-in day as I've left my class). Lost 2lbs since Tuesday BTW!! Yay.....

Just wondering how naughty are you on weigh-in day. Do you really pig-out or just maybe have a small treat???

Today so far I've had:

2 Weetabix with banana on top and ss milk

Punnet of strawberries

(dragged to pub with sister) had a jacket with tuna and mayo (probably full-fat mayo...)

Planned chinese for tea! Can't wait, although wanna squeeze in some sort of chocolate substance somewhere (sounds rude!!!)

x

Nemo2007 · 23/06/2007 10:35

right my lovelies I need help..just been completely demotivated since I maintained..sounds soft I know so when I went on wed I had put 3lbs on and am probably heading the same way this week!!

andyrobo237 · 23/06/2007 14:11

Nemo - big huggs at least you went to class - it is easy not to go and then put all the weight back on - just put last week behind you, and remind yourself of why you started going to classes in the first place. You owe it to your lovely children to be as healthy as you can as the older they get, the more energy you will need to run around after them. Just think of your holiday in Sept to Center Parcs where you can walk around the Tropical Paradise swimming pool area being at least two sizes smaller.

They reckon it takes 6 weeks to break habits - maybe you need to get the kids on side as your 'food police' - my DD said I looked as if I still had a baby in my tum!! Cheeky kid - not sure where she gets that from.

Get your book back out and see what you can do to get back on track - ignore the past few days even if you have syned - just start today as if you were just starting - and plan your meals between now and your weigh in. Post them on here and we will try to keep you motivated - it is like having 10 consultants at your fingertips!!

Keep going - even if you put a small amount on this week or maintain, then you are still lighter than you started - anywa - no must be desparate for that perfume by now!!!!

andyrobo237 · 23/06/2007 14:12

BTW Nemo - if you dont behave I will send SA2 round to sort you out - that will scare you!!!

zmandaz · 23/06/2007 19:37

Hello, I'm new on this thread although I've been on Mumsnet a while (had DD in September 06 and am a Lone Parent so have been on those treads).
I joined SW 5 weeks ago and so far have lost a stone and half a pound. I'm really enjoying it so far. I very nearly joined Lighter Life but am so glad I didn't as I don't think I could go without food for 14 weeks!
My worry now is that I go on holiday in 2 weeks and it's all inclusive. I don't intend to go mad but I also want to enjoy myself so I guess I'll just have to get straight back on the plan when I get back.

3xamum · 25/06/2007 09:53

EverLovelyChubby - yes!! I always naughty nibble on weigh in. Its the only thing tha gets me thru the weeks

zmandaz- that a fab weight loss in 5 weeks! I think I would give myself the holiday break, like you say just staright back o when you get home.

My 3rd weigh in tonight, nothing seems to have come off this week on my home scales I've been good which makes it bloody annoying!

Nemo2007 · 25/06/2007 14:38

PMSL andyrobo she would just come around brandishing wine and chocolates..lol

Well have completley gone to pot and have been discussing with dh just following the plan at home on our own and buying those decent scales from argos. I think for me paying #4.50 is too much and I actually feel ashamed if I have put on..the last 2 weeks I have just wanted to cry while sitting there for image therapy..its not even my woman as she is lovely..its just me and I dont cope with attention at the best of times never mind when I am trying to explain why I have done badly. Plus Af has turned up so all in all its a bad week again..lol

IndigoMoon · 25/06/2007 19:22

oh nemo2007

i find the classes very worthwhile and knowing they are looming keeps me on the straight and narrow but if you need a break then do it. has she offered any additional support to get you back on track. could you do one day on plan and one day off plan and will you stick to it any better if you are just doing it at home ?
i hope you can work something out.

saying that i have had a bit of a flex syns day today but will get back on tomorrow. fed up of this weather and felt like bangers and mash

3xamum · 26/06/2007 16:03

Pleased to find I lost a furthur 3.5lbs this week. 11.5 in 3 weeks. Be fab if I could keep up that sort of weight loss but I'm realistic enough to realise that it will slow down. Love to get to the magic stone nxt week tho!

RoundTheBend · 26/06/2007 18:08

at 3xamum! How on earth are you doing it????? I seem to be so, so good yet I am lucky if I am losing 2lb a week. I have my weight in tonight, fingers crossed I might reach my 1/2stone marker after 4 weeks!

3xamum · 26/06/2007 19:48

RoundTheBend I don't know what i'm doing diff this time, it didn't come off as quick last time I was on SW. Good luck with the weigh in tonight

hercules1 · 26/06/2007 19:53

Hi all. I've just lost 3 1/2 stone using cambridge but am looking for a longer term lifestyle change re food and like the sound of slimming world. GOing to classes isnt possible so was wondering if anyone could give me the basics or is there any books I could buy?

3xamum · 26/06/2007 19:56

hercules1 3 and half stone! fantastic!! The Slimming World website is really good and you can join online instead of going to classes, (not sure about prices though)

andyrobo237 · 26/06/2007 21:09

I lost 2lbs this week - making 3.5 in total over three weeks - a bit slow, but will hopefully get to 10lbs by the time I go on hols - in three weeks time! Still need to lose 5lbs of baby weight - then start tackling the rest!!!

Must try harder this week - most in class had either maintanined or had a small gain, and I thought I was going to be 'Slimmer of the week' but someone who hadnt stayed to class had lost 3lbs! I would love to get that award at least once so I can have a sticker on my book!

I filled in the FIT log this week, and will do so for the next few weeks - will get a body magic sticker that way!!!!!! LOL - sound like my daughter who loves it when the teacher gives her a sticker for good work!

RoundTheBend · 26/06/2007 21:59

I got my half stone sticker!!! I lost 2lb so that brings my total to 8lb in 4 weeks.

mandaxmx · 26/06/2007 22:34

wohoo lost 4lb 2 more lbs to get to my target cant wait

IndigoMoon · 26/06/2007 23:30

well done for such fantastic weight losses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my weigh in is tomorrow.

should be interesting

mandaxmx · 27/06/2007 00:20

GOOD LUCK indigo xx fingers crossed i say if u loose well thats excellent if yu maintain then thats good and if you put on well then thats juts a kick up the bum to get sorted for the next week...everyone needs a week off every now and then no point feelin bad over weight gain should just make you more determined the week after ( espacially as have to pay £4.50 for it haha) xx

TimeForMe · 27/06/2007 10:16

Hi all and well done on the brilliant weight losses. I'm doing it at home and have lost 4lbs this week.
Can I be cheeky and ask if anyone would mind sharing the SW online password for this week?

TIA
