Fff2, I'm so very sorry to hear about your aunt. It's very difficult to stick to any sort of routine, diet or otherwise, when your life has been turned upside down by a family bereavement. All I can say is to be kind to yourself and take a week or two's break if you need to until things are a bit more settled.

Thinking of you x

RoundTheBend · 19/06/2007 18:51

FFF sorry to hear of your loss .
Bighotmama, I tried the Worc sauce and that was okay - thanks!

Off to my weigh-in in a minute. I will update when I get back.

3xamum · 19/06/2007 19:27

Sorry FFF didn't notice your sad news earlier on, I always forget how far I've read back. Hope you are feeling ok today.

2nd weigh in last night lost 3.5lbs, so 8 in 2 weeks. Got slimmer of the week (well 3 of us did) so think that will spur me on.

Is all batchelors pasta in sauce free??

andyrobo237 · 19/06/2007 21:11

Well I stayed the same this week - not surprising - a combo o Pizza Hut on riday (dont even calculate the syns - pizza is evil) and 'that time of the month'. Consultant is expecting a great loss next week - so I will have to be good!!

To those who have lost loads of weight - what combination of red and green days do you do? I usually do mainly green with maybe 2 red a week. Are the red ones better for quicker losses?

Nemo - are you going to class this week? I hope you havent undone all your great work!!

fireflyfairy2 · 19/06/2007 21:20

Aw thanks for all the messages everyone, it means a lot to me.

I have had another bad day today, ate biscuits & dh made a fry up this morning.. so I had bacon & a sausage, a pancake & some soda bread.

Back to the food diary tomorrow though as I really don't want to gain weight all over again. If I do none of my summer clothes will fit me & we are off on holidays in 2 weeks!

laloop · 19/06/2007 21:36

Fff2, don't worry about what you've eaten today - try to get out walking around that beautiful countryside if you can over the next few days, it'll burn off the cals in no time. I've been quite bold the last few days too with the diet, so you're not doing any worse than me!

Well done to those who have lost weight this week.

RoundTheBend · 19/06/2007 21:46

I lost 2lbs. . Almost at my half stone.

Good losses so far!

No worries on the ones having a bit of a rest, All our fave foods have got to be eaten at some point!!

Having a curry tom night as is DP's b'day having a red day and intending to stick to it! Any suggestions on a fairly lowish syn curry, I'll do my own HB jacket or new pots......

Lost 2lbs...not bad I suppose....

Andy - I am starting to do more red days as I have heard, and starting to believe, mostly greens slows it down a bit???? gutted as love green days!

p.s. making complaint about consultant this week, can't stand her anymore she actually raised her voice at a lady that had gained tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BigHotMama · 20/06/2007 09:43

I do mainly green with 2 reds. I find the weight drops off if you cut down on your bread intake and stick to 5-10 syns.

My DH is doing the plan with me and has lost 13lb in 2 weeks, its taken me weeks to lose 10lb, why do men seem to lose it quick? (Its probably because he can eat cold baked beans out of a tin and cold mushy peas as a meal replacement, I just cant do that yuk!)

Well done on all the losses

EverLovelyCHubby, check the SWwebsite for curry recipes am sure they have some free ones, not sure what they taste like, just add loads of herbs and spices to give it a kick

EverLovelyChubby · 20/06/2007 10:33

Thanks BHM - sometimes need to satisfy the curry craving u'know!

Have send an e-mail to SW HQ re. consultant. Only did it about half hour ago so no response yet. So this means I am "going it alone" as it were. I cannot face that group anymore and no others are convenient for me to go to. Feel a bit at a loss really but not going to give up. NEED INSPIRATION TO CARRY ON !!!!!!

FFF2 and Nemo hope you're both 'enjoying' your week off, i'm v.!!

Cheers gals!

EverLovelyChubby · 20/06/2007 10:34

p.s. BHM cold baked beans and cold mushy peas [bleughhhhhhh!!!]?????

hollyg · 20/06/2007 16:57

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone feels a bit better now after what seemed to be a tough week for some of you.
I've got my second weigh in tonight and have had a very frustrating week all in all, i have had less syns than last week (when i lost 7 lbs) but my scales show that i have not lost a pound!! and i dont feel like i have either.

Have stuck to it and counted everything, sorry to divulge but i have been constipated all week too!!

Anyways i'll try again tomorrow afresh and see what happens next week. Its just annoying as i wouldnt mind if i'd had a big blow out but i haven't at all!!! unfair

Anyway i normally only have one red day a week as i don't eat meat just fish so maybe i'll try a few more red days next week.

Good luck to all weigh ins tonight

mandaxmx · 20/06/2007 22:03

hi everyone, bit dissapointed this week put on half a pound i know its not much but really did not want to put anything on untill i got to my target which is only 8lb away
does anyone think that me exercising every day would be effecting my weight loss???
i have been doin 6 miles on my cross trainers and about 20 mins of sit ups and weights...please let me know so hopfully get back to loosing again xxxxx

EverLovelyChubby · 21/06/2007 10:59

Hi

As my consultant didn't feel it her job to give out the password in class this week (last one I'm going to BTW) my colleague said this weeks password is orange, but it isn't working.....

Anyone know what it is?

Cheers BTW, ELC

(p.s. As I won't be attending a class from this week, if anyone would like to volunteer to e-mail me the password, I wouldn't say no.... sorry if being rude and cheeky!)

andyrobo237 · 21/06/2007 11:11

ELC - Cherry

tiredemma · 21/06/2007 11:14

I lost 5 and 1/2 pounds at last nights weigh in- i nearly fell on the floor!

EverLovelyChubby · 21/06/2007 11:41

Thank you very very much Andy - much appreciated!!!

Gosh Emma, thats fantastic. Any tips on what you did differently this week???

x

tiredemma · 21/06/2007 11:50

I went swimming more and I also got my trainers on and went for a real brisk walk - thats the only thing I can pin point it to as really- I did not change my food intake this week.

Ive been swimming for 30 mins 3 x a week and just went for one walk.

Going to do the same this week.

hollyg · 21/06/2007 13:32

Hi
Well done on your losses, i lost a pound, so at least it was something but v disappointed, just going to be v strict this week, do more exercise and hope for better next week.

Me and my best mate are doing a 10k run for cancer at end of Sept so starting training for that tonight and afterwards meeting up with my other bridesmaids to plan my hen do, so i'd better steer clear of wine and head for vodka soda and limes!!!
