Hi, thanks for the yoghurt ideas

Our consultant showed us Lidl ones though that were free & as dh passes it on his way home from work it would be handy, I will ask her again on Wed night

I don't feel like I have lost anything this week either I know I have been out on Sat night & today but I had stiry fry both times & today I had no dessert. Have just had my other HEb [oat so simple] as I was peckish, we had dinner/tea @ 4.30 so a bit earlier than usual

I would like to get below the ten stone mark before our holiday in 4 weeks time. I am 10st 4 lb I think. I can't be bothered going & looking at my book, but afaik that's the weight I am.

How do you put pics on your profile? I can't figure it out at all!

Sparkler · 11/06/2007 21:40

Still being good. Had a couple of moments since 5pm where I nearly gave in - but I didn't! I went to Asda earlier and bought loads of fruit. I keep hammering the fruit bowl tonight.
I've also just done 15 mins on an exercise bike - which I've borrowed from a lovely mumsnetter! Not long I know but I will gradually increase the time as I get used to it - was up six times in the night last night with dd too and barely slept so too tired to anymore.

fireflyfairy2 · 11/06/2007 21:55

Well Done you

I've got to the stage where I feel guilty now if I don't do some sort of exercise daily.

And I'm running the race for life on Sunday & worrying/panicking about it a bit too.. I really want to have something off this week to give my confidence a boost before the race on Sunday.

Nemo2007 · 11/06/2007 22:32

unichef only doing no syns ot make up for a horrendous thurs and fri..lol So not all angelic!!

RoundTheBend · 12/06/2007 08:08

I've got my weigh in tonight. I don't feel confident that I have lost any weight this week. Something I suspect to do with saving my Syns for alcohol. I had no alcohol last night and will now try to go 5 nights a week without any. At least 4 days a week I walk 4 miles to and from work. I feel like I have lost inches but not lbs. I just find it hard to get motivated to do exercise. I have a rowing machine and a lateral thigh trainer staring me in the face but in the evenings I feel so tired I just look at them.. How did you all get motivated to do more exercise?

laloop · 12/06/2007 09:46

Hi everyone
I have fallen off the diet plan really badly. Dd has had a stomach bug since Friday night and is off school so I've had no opportunity to exercise and have been eating really badly. I think I'm going to have to get to a class to do this properly and lose that stone. I'm hoping that dh will be able leave work on time so that I can go to the Thursday evening class (the only one that is near where I live).

Well done everyone on their losses this week. I hope I can get myself back on track soon

IndigoMoon · 12/06/2007 10:17

Hello

well am feeling really chuffed because a few people have complemented me this morning on how i have lost weight :0

my weigh in is tomorrow and if i am honest i am not sure i have lost any more really but i have been really good all week apart from sat when i went over my syns by about six.

i have really increased my exercise and have walked each and every day and even extended the walk from here to nursery cos i go the long way around.

fireflyfairy2 · 12/06/2007 10:24

IndigoMoon isn't it such a confidence booster when someone compliments on you on weight loss? We were out at a family event on Sat night & my sil asked me to drop her round my sw magazines as she wants to lose weight & sees how well I am doing, it was a back handed compliment as she doesn't really do the gushy "You look fabbbbb" thing

Have just walked 3 miles this morning & looks like I have got back just in time as it is lashing down & thundering!!

Laloop, poor dd, hope she feels better soon

rhysmiamum · 12/06/2007 11:05

Hi peeps

Only lost 0.5lbs this week compared to my 6lbs - gutted (can't have it all though eh!).

Does anyone has this week's p/word? Yet again cannot get hold of consultant to get it off her and she doesn't even put it on the board anymore.

I am now wondering whether to make a complaint to SW HQ?

Anyone ever done this before....feel really peed off about whole thing....

x

laloop, you'll be back on track soon!!!

3xamum · 12/06/2007 11:15

Hi everyone. I'm on my 2nd wk of SW, lost 4.5lbs at class last night, so feeling inspired this week. Bloody starving though cos I'm due on.

Have to admit i'm an original day fan but do you get a better weight loss if you have a mixture of the 2 or do more green??

laloop · 12/06/2007 11:20

Hi rhysmiamum,
At least you're still going in the right direction (unlike me!), 0.5lb is better off than on and all that and I'm sure you'll get a good result next week too. Don't have a password for you as I don't attend a class as yet - that consultant sounds pretty useless, she's being paid to share her expertise and motivate her group and it doesn't sound as if she's fulfilling that role.

Fff2 and Indigomoon, that's great that other people are seeing the results of your efforts - well done!

Right...I was going to wait until I joined Thursday's class to get back into the SW eating plan but you've all inspired me to start afresh from today instead. I have got stuck into the housework and I'm going to do an exercise DVD before I pick up ds2 from school. To all those who have bought the Davina DVD - it is one of my favourites, hope you enjoy it as it is a fab workout especially the "Legs" section - ouch!

What's everyone else eating today. Would you mind sharing your menu plans so that I can get some ideas what to make here, thanks

laloop · 12/06/2007 11:21

Hi 3xamum - well done on your 4.5lbs off too, wow!

Nemo2007 · 12/06/2007 11:26

3xamum and Rhy...well done on the losses..
Password is beetroot,

laloop am sure you will be fine, we all have bad days etc I am still hoping to not let my two bad days this week show up tommorow..lol So am still on my syn free days and its the 4th one today. Must say for a chocoholic I am not finding it too bad.

Today is
puffed wheat with milk
turkey kebabs with some mexican seasoning and salad.
chinese flavoured chicken breasts with salad and some boiled potatos for tea and maybe syn free sausage if dh has his way..lol.
Various snack pickings will be boiled ham, mullerlight yoghurts and fruit.

3xamum · 12/06/2007 11:27

Thanks laloop . I love this thread and have been reading it for ages for inspiration.

Password I have is beetroot. Will i get the SW police round now having given that out??

andyrobo237 · 12/06/2007 11:34

I managed to lose 2lbs in my first week - not a great loss but what I wanted to lose. It usually takes me a few weeks to get into a diet / healthy eating plan and I was not 100% good - a few unexpected extra syns and made the mistake of having peas and sweetcorn on a red day where they are not free.

Even so, I am pleased - I am aiming for 3lb next week - and will try to do some more exercise this week - need to increase the distance of my pram walks but had a busy week last week and it was also a bit too hot to go too far!

laloop - what is the Davina DVD you have - I have the power of 3 one but not done it since I became pg last year (baby now 17 weeks old!)

fff2 and Indigomoon - it must be fab when people start noticing the weightloss - it makes it all worthwhile!

Nemo - hope you are sticking to the plan - I need and am willing you to get your stone award!!! I had fresh pineapple and raspberries yesterday - lovely combo of sweet and tarty flavours!

Good luck roundthebend - I reckon as long as you have not gained any weight then that is a positive - just remember how long it took to put the weight on - you cant lose it overnight! Slow and steady is my motto - rather like the tortoise and the hare!

laloop · 12/06/2007 12:05

Thanks everyone for the support to get me back on track

Andyrobo, 2lbs is a great start

I have the Power of 3 by Davina which I love but I have heard good reports on the 3x30 minute workout one too. If anyone is interested there are some really useful DVD reviews here by speedymama and 3andnomore from the Exercise Buddies thread. I have just bought some of the TaeBo ones and Nell McAndrew "Maximum Impact" on their recommendations.

Nemo, your menu plans always sound really yummy Good luck for hitting the first stone off mark.

Right I better get back to the housework, just popped back onto MN to let the kitchen floor dry after giving it a good mop

hollyg · 12/06/2007 12:39

Afternoon All,

First weigh in day tomorrow for me and feeling good in myself. Have been a member before and i never used to stay to class, just weighed and went but i think that staying to class will be a good motivator this time, that and MN of course!

Last night i played badminton and had a lovely quick dinner afterwards;
steamed spinach, quorn tikka fillets and Ainsley Harriot spicy cous cous (all free), it was lovely and dead quick to make which was a good job as i was starving and having a sweet craving! but i resisted.wahoo!

have been doing 15 mins on cross bike each day too.

Today i've had bluberries and natural yoghurt and a grapefruit for breakfast, will make pasta for lunch and something stodgy for dinner as am going to gig tonight and scared that i'll want a few drinks, when ive used my syns up for this week, so im filling myself up before i go out!!! not sure if it will work!
wish me luck ha ha

rhysmiamum · 12/06/2007 12:41

Thanks guys - was a bit gutted for 0.5 but yes is going in the right direction.

Although had a new programme drawn up in gym yesterday and OMG I have never ached so much, my arms are in agony! No pain no gain I suppose but OUCH!

Gonna try to see if I can get to another class but the one I go to is the most convenient and the consultant is, I have to say, completely useless. She is very stoney faced and actually tuts at weight gain! No wonder hardly anyone stays to body image......

Feel like I'm wasting my money now too.

Well done on all losses - hope we can all get lots more!!

x

Joby1970 · 12/06/2007 12:58

Rhysmiamum - you really should report your consultant to the SW head office. She should definitely NOT tut when someone gains weight. As a consultant you are there to motivate not sit in judgment on your members. Remember you are paying for her classes!

On a happier note I went to the docs today to get my next 6 months of birth control pills & the doc weighed me & checked my blood pressure & said how well I was doing . She is now more than happy to keep me on my pill as my blood pressure is now in the normal range. She also said she thought I looked good (weight wise) too!

Good luck all with your weigh ins this week

mandaxmx · 12/06/2007 13:20

OMG!! weight in 2nite and im reallllyy dreading it....not sure why but ive been feeling constantly hungry all week and been piggin out on rubbish i know ill feel like c**p when i see i have put on but i just seem to lack motivation this week...ive only got around 10lb to go so dont know why i let myself go but ohwell will see 2nite what the damage is xxxx

fireflyfairy2 · 12/06/2007 15:11

Mandaxmx, hopefully you will be fine & good luck for your weigh-in

Rhiasmummy, definitely report that consultant, she is not being supportive! That's her job!!

E-mail the address on the back of your slimming world book. Say you are doing it on behalf of the group.

Have just had pkt of pasta n sauce as have been cleaning all morning
