Right. Here we are again.

Good luck ladies, I certainly need it!!!

lunavix · 10/06/2007 21:00

oh and another question lol, can you get free/low syn gravy?? Not with meat juices, just normal.

rhysmiamum - my consultant is nice. She hasn't said anything about the three or so texts I send her a week asking syns of things although she sends everyone a text when they join saying they can contact her. She also texted me some encouragement after I put on 3.5 last week - I didn't stay for the meeting so she was offering advice.

fireflyfairy2 · 10/06/2007 21:02

What's the slimming world weetabix cake please?? Sounds like something I need to know about

Nemo!! I'm made up for you, well done girl! I got a nice pair of white linen trousers in Next yesterday. They will do for my holidays & I am chuffed that they were in petite as that meant I don't need them altered

I have had a lovely day today, grapes & strawberries for breakfast & 1 litre of water, far far too hot to eat much & I went a walk by myself with the music pumping

For lunch I had beans on toast, having a green day so beans free & the slice of w/meal toast was HEb. Had a salad for dinner, delicious... Ham [HEb] Lettuce, cucumber, sweetcorn, beetroot, pickled onions, yellow pepper, nectarine, banana, tomato & some pasta salad ] (also had some salt & vinegar crisps on the side as we always do when having salad as a main meal )

Then I went & blew it I ate some of the kids sweets... but hopefully it's not enough to gain weight as I have walked every day this week, twice some days & did the spin class on Thursday night....

As for the Adios supplements, I believe that simply watching what you eat & exercising more is what will shift the weight

Nemo2007 · 10/06/2007 21:04

The consultants should be nice its what they are paid for. Mine is always telling everyone to give her a ring if they need to.

Lunavix will try to find the lunch ideas on website..there were a few just cant remember exact location..lol

fireflyfairy2 · 10/06/2007 21:22

Have you all tried the cous cous cake?

It's supposed to be delicious, though the day I made it, it didn't turn out right

Or how about pasta quiche? The free pasta n sauce on a green day, press it into a flan dish & put whisked eggs in the centre, pop in the oven until set & it makes a lovely quiche

lunavix · 10/06/2007 21:27

nemo - no worries just saw the egg friend rice recipe further down

fff - weetabix cake is on the website, it tastes exactly like bread and butter pudding but like a malt loaf cake. 3.5 syns a slice, and divine.

I also want the chicken tikki and red onion recipe from the curry book - does anyone have it?

lunavix · 10/06/2007 21:28

cous cous cake? do tell!

lunavix · 10/06/2007 21:32

doing my food shopping for the week and just realised I've done 5 green days...

mon - (g) tandoori chicken and egg friend rice
tues - (g) bangers and mash and gravy
weds - (g) pasta and marinara sauce
thurs - (g) jacket potatoes and salad
fri - (g) stirfry linguine with chinese veg

hmm guess it's pasta n sauce for lunch every day!

Nemo2007 · 10/06/2007 21:35

I have the green recipe book if there is anything in particular you would like/what type of food do you eat? Are you working so it has to be done before etc?

Sparkler · 10/06/2007 21:35

Hi everyone.

How much weight has everyone lost so far?

I've stopped going to class now as consultant has put me off (see my last post).
I have done slimming world on and off long enough to know how it works. Keep telling myself to try it alone - I won't be missing the group support - but it's very hard.
I really want to lose the weight and don't want to be as big as I am. Since September last year I have gone down two sizes in clothes but am feeling them getting a little tight again. I really must work hard and get myself back on track.

Mumbojumbo · 10/06/2007 21:44

mmmm thanks for all the recipes mumbojumbo

I think I'll try the weetabix one soon

Sparkler, you can do it We will be your group support, not just one night a week, but constantly How good is that????

BigHotMama · 11/06/2007 12:59

Sparkler I'm not going to a class at moment either as the consultant wasnt as motivating as the one who used to do the class. I find doing it with my dh a real help too and make time to do extra exercise it really boosts my mood.

FFF2 thanks for the compliment but I dont look like I did on my wedding day at the moment I'm around 3 stone heavier so desperate to get down to a size 16 again.
Your salad sounds nice might do one this week.

Nemo, which dvd did you get? I got the power of 3 workout and the another one in a boxset? Have you done it yet? I like the pump and boxercise workout, they're are hard though. Oh and well done for dropping the 2 sizes, bet that feels amazing.

Well I got my old summer clothes from under the bed and they dont fit me as size 16 so looks like will have to get some size 20 stuff as the weather is hot and all i got is one pair of jeans and some brown cut offs? Bought some white linene trousers from Monsoon and they fit nice, need some shorts and maybe a nice denim skirt.

Does anybody know if asda have stopped selling the chickpea dahl? Its not on ther shelves and one of the workers told my dh they dont sell it anymore??? I'll be gutted if they have

Ok so whats everyone having today???

For me:

Breaky - 28g readybrek and 1 banana

Lunch - Egg with light mayo, chopped onion and watercress with jacket potato

Dinner - Fish and chips recipe off SW website and baked beans & pickled onions

Who would have thought I was slimming eh?

hollyg · 11/06/2007 14:15

Hello Everyone

I've not been on here for months because i haven't been following it and so piled on the pounds! but now i've grabbed the bull by the horns and went back to class last wed and confirmed by worst fears but now i'm back on track

Been doing very well this week apart from saturday lots of drinks and BBQ but i kept within syns up to now and am playing badminton tonight so here's hoping.

I have a group holiday next March for my friend's wedding in Cyprus and then its my wedding the following August, it seems a long while off now but i have 3 dress sizes to drop and i am DETERMINED to do it!!!

CayKon · 11/06/2007 14:15

hi bighotmama if you stick to the plan you'll soon be back in your old clothes ( but by then you'll be feeling so good about yourself you'll want to go shopping and buy new stuff anyway .

I have been going to class now for 7 weeks and so far lost 20lbs. It is my weigh in tommorrow so hoping for at least 1lb to get my 1 1/2 stone. but a bit bigger loss would be nice.

I have drunk plenty of water this week and even exercised. Did a 1hr 20 20 20 class thursday, did a 1hr jazzercise class last night, and have 1hr aquafit tonight and 1hr funky street dance on wednesday.

Im on a green day today

had pineapple, strawberries, grapes, banana, and blueberries for breakfast covered in very low fat natural yoghurt.

mid morning snack had a shape satisfaction yoghurt and an apple

for lunch had pasta with marinara sauce, with h/e chees on top and a big leafy salad

and for dinner I plan to make a pasta quiche ( free pasta n sauce cooked then mix in tub cottage cheese, 3 beaten eggs, some sweetcorn, pepper and onion.)
I don't want anything to heavy before i exercise so i can have some of this before i go and have some more when i get home.

CayKon · 11/06/2007 14:17

forget to say with the quiche once mixed together you bake in the oven until golden and set ooppppsss!!

Nemo2007 · 11/06/2007 15:25

bighotmama I got the power of 3 one..am awaiting its delivery as was a ebay buy..lol

so far today I have had
chocolate wheats with milk
ton of cherries and a mug shot which i wouldnt recommend..bleughh

Nemo2007 · 11/06/2007 15:26

opps and tea is syn free chips and syn free sausage used as a he B

Sparkler · 11/06/2007 20:06

I've run out of food diaries but drew a rough one out and have been filling it out today.
Was working 9.30 - 2 so didn't have any problems. Almost weakened about 5pm when I was cooking tea for dds but, whereas I would normally make a coffee and grab the biscuit jar, I grabbed a banana instead. Not as yummy but I felt very pleased afterwards.
Made vegetable jambalaya for tea and found it filling. Starting to get munchies again now - more of a sweet tooth. Think there's a Skinny Cow chocolate lolly in the fridge somewhere.
Looks like I've managed day 1 on my own.

Sparkler · 11/06/2007 20:09

FFF - thanks for the enouragement. As you told me, I keep telling myself "I can do it!".
BigHotMama - sorry to hear you weren't getting help from your consultant neither. I've done slimming world a few times prior to this and the consultants I had then were really good - it was me that slipped off the wagon with them.
Oh to be slim!!

fireflyfairy2 · 11/06/2007 20:27

Hi everyone

I didn't get out my walk this morning as it was far too warm & I just get too slow & no pleasure from walking in the heat, so whilst dd was at camogie practice this evening I stuck on the power of 3 DVD & now I'm knackered.

Have the heater on for warm water for the shower [it's been so warm here lately we've not had to have the oil heating on for weeks!]

Today I had pineappled & strawberries for breakfast. Dh brought home some yoghurts from Lidl, but when I checked the syns they are 5.5 syns each And they said 0% fat which is why he bought them! Do any of you know what the free ones are called? I remember our consultant telling & showing us which ones were free but I have a short memory

Anyone have any weigh-ins tonight?

RoundTheBend · 11/06/2007 20:50

fireflyfairy2, the free yogurts are Mullerlites.
