Good lord Fizz, 3lb down in one week is amazing, sounds like you definitely got away with the slight control deficiency yesterday. I do find the articles on tat website surprisingly informative, although I tend to just read them for info - I really can't see myself ever managing to "track my macros" and all that. I do like being armed with information even if I'll never put it into effect 
Happy and lasty how frustrating for you both! As Muddy says it must be a fluid blip, but it's so bloody annoying when that happens.
Ada 1310 is such a random number, did MFP serve it to you based on your stats? I agree on the sustainability thing, knowing how to get the most bang for your buck in terms of calories is absolute gold in terms of maintaining afterwards. I tried low carbing for a little while donkeys years ago, and although ultimately I realised I like carbs too much to go without them for any extended period of time, it forced me to get a great repertoire of carb-free meals, and especially ones which can be carbed-up for DH. That's been absolutely invaluable long-term and was a real sea change for me. I now don't eat carbs at all during the week, which I think is such an easy and effective way to keep calories down.
