I'm feeling very motivated reading the thread, well done to all the amazing losses!

Definitely time to say goodbye to that scales Cider! I've a digital Salter one and I find it fine, it does go up and down a bit but I reckon that's more to do with me being a bit disastrous of late 🙄

Thankfully the Fitbit seems to be getting me moving more, not too sure whether it's having any effect yet but I reckon you need to give anything 6 weeks before you notice a difference. I do my best to log my food to MFP but I know I cheat by not adding anything on my 'slip up' days. I don't know who I think I'm kidding?!

ponygirlcurtis · 18/06/2018 22:38

Well done going, Nan and Koko! Cider hope new scales behave better. I am convinced mine see me coming and decide to mess with my head so I weigh myself holding various heavy objects first to throw it off the scent. I really do...

I am officially declared on my official first ever target! It has been in my fitbit for about 4 years and now I am there. Feels a bit weird but good weird. I would like to lose more - I am still a stone above the very top of my bmi and I will never get there but I want to keep going as far as I can. Everything else is a bonus now. Smile

Can I just say thanks so much for all the support from this thread - I do credit it with keeping me motivated over my glacial downwards progress. It really is the best thread on Mumsnet ™️ and you are all fab!

Well done pony! That’s fab.

New scales coming today. Old scales seemed to behave this morning although weighed me heavier than I would like! They weren’t as erratic.

Today’s plan is lots more water and increase my fibre intake.

Aching legs after a circuits class yesterday. Planning a walk.

HappyGowerGirl · 19/06/2018 08:15

Wow, amazing losses! Well done!!!

I’m still 9.5, I’m pretty sure that’s what I was in January!😮😓 Maybe that’s just my target weight and I should give up?!

QuimReaper · 19/06/2018 11:11

Oh pony that is so great, well done! I felt positively lightheaded when I hit my first target, I couldn't believe it! (And couldn't believe how long and slow it had been...) I too couldn't have done it without the Slenderistas Smile

Happy what weight did you have in mind? Are you comparatively happy at the weight you are?

MissingPanda · 19/06/2018 13:10

Checking in before I fall off completely. Ate loads last week, weighed myself yesterday and was 12st 7lb...not good. Hopong most of it is bloat. Started calorie counting again yesterday but am out tomorrow for lunch so probably won't bother then, will start again on Thursday though.

pony well done on achieving your target.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

Hoolahoophop · 19/06/2018 20:18

Congratulations Pony that's a great achievement.

Not logging here at the moment but still trying to make sensible choices. apart from AF trying to make me eat all of everythingWill weigh in tomorrow and see how I'm doing.

CiderwithBuda · 19/06/2018 22:47

New scales arrived and set up and synced with phone and Fitbit. Did it tonight so a heavier weight than I would have liked but I’ll weigh again in the morning for a proper weigh in! It measures weight, body fat, muscle, water etc etc.

No exercise today as had a busy day. Getting my hair done mainly this morning and had to take DS to an appointment this afternoon. And my legs ache so much from circuits yesterday!

Day 3 of no alcohol! That had better show on the scales!

HappyGowerGirl · 20/06/2018 06:52

Quim Oops 9.5 actually isn’t what I weigh at all! (Sorry I’m a kilo girl). I weigh 9.9 and have for a while now...

I feel okay about it but I know I feel better at my target weight (which is actually 9.5!). Fitter, faster, clothes fit better etc. I don’t mind being 9.9 so
much but I also know that if I don’t keep trying to loose it will just creep up!

HappyGowerGirl · 20/06/2018 06:53

Cider I’m impressed with the lack of alcohol. It’s my downfall!

CiderwithBuda · 20/06/2018 09:02

Happy - I’m impressed too! It’s always been my downfall too. I’m having an alcohol free ‘gin’ and slimline tonic every evening. And last night I kept telling myself I would have a glass of wine but then realised I was just going to have it for the sake of it. And realistically I drank my whole week’s allowance on Sunday night!

Twixes · 20/06/2018 10:45

Hello my name is Twix and wine is also my weakness! Grin I've managed to abstain since Sunday (two nights, shocker!)

Pony how satisfying to reach your goal, well done! Slow and steady is the way to do it :)

My diet has gone to the dogs but my exercise has increased a fair amount - all thanks to the Fitbit. I wonder will the novelty wear off???

Lucked · 20/06/2018 11:59

I have been gaining and losing the same 1lb for the last week BUT I don't feel out of control and have been making healthy choices.

Reading through the posts here for more inspiration.

CiderwithBuda · 20/06/2018 13:29

Actually I was 2 night’s without alcohol not 3! Thought yesterday was Wednesday for some reason. Hmm

Hoolahoophop · 20/06/2018 13:36

Cider can I ask about your shiny new scales? Ive been thinking about treating myself to some fancy ones for a while. What did you get, are they expensive and (I know it's early days) but are you liking them, are they bettertban standard ones. Thanks. Smile

Hoolahoophop · 20/06/2018 13:37

On your alcohol chats.......i haven't abstained........ Since Thursday. This may be why this week and next will be diet fails. GrinBlush

ponygirlcurtis · 20/06/2018 14:03

Alcohol is definitely the thing that has slowed and stopped my weight loss in the past. One of the reasons I think the BSD has worked is it's kept me off it during the week - there is just no wiggle room to add the calories. I suspect I have had more alcohol-free days in the last month than I have in the last year, which would explain my lack of loss till now!

Twixes it does wear off to an extent but I am still far more active with my Fitbit on than I would be with outdoor it. I still push to reach my steps goal most days. Glad it's helping, I love mine!

I have just had halloumi for the first time. Quite liked it.

CiderwithBuda · 20/06/2018 14:06

Well I’m liking them so far Hoola. Lots of numbers!

I got them on Amazon. It’s these.

I had been thinking of the Fitbit ones but these were much cheaper and still sync with my Fitbit.

QuimReaper · 20/06/2018 17:03

Dropping the booze during the week has been the single biggest success of mine in terms of weight loss. It was daunting at first but now I quite resent having weeknight drinking plans. I had wine on Monday and yesterday (meals out both nights) and I feel shit today, I'm looking forward to a much better night's sleep tonight and tomorrow night and a clearer head (before it all starts again...!)

Fast Day after five days' indulgence on the trot - I could chew my own arm off Shock I always forget how much harder it gets when the system falls apart for a bit.

Well done pony!

I've brought Celebrity Slim Shakes and am starting them tomorrow Grin

AdaArdor · 20/06/2018 22:07

Pony Well done on hitting your target, you must be so chuffed!!! It is well deserved and I hope you keep on trucking to get to your next goal - healthy BMI bracket I take it? I was spurred to action when I realised I was right at the top of my healthy range, then when I tell people that IRL they always say "Oh BMI is so inaccurate, it doesn't account for everything, you're fine" Hmm it's annoying because I think "well I'm not exactly a rugby player or body builder so I'm not some outlier, I'm your average person which is exactly what the BMI system is for!" Anyway, rant over... Blush

I see the chat about alcohol too, I've noticed from MFP that any time I have alcohol is when I go over rmy calories. It's a waste of calories (I could be eating crisps and bread and pasta with those and would actually much rather!!) haha

Think this week will be a bad one for me. This TOM was rabid (I had such bad cravings and was relentlessly hungry for 3 days straight). I was fairly good but it was so hard. Now me and DP are having a pretty tough time. We have agreed to put the important conversations on pause and just be friendly and normal to each other until we can get to a therapy session (which will hopefully be next weekend and at which point I'm sure we'll both let rip!!). I really hope we can work through this, but I'm trying to steel myself and prepare for the worst case scenario that 9.5 years with the man I love may be coming to an end.... Blush

We have agreed to get back to Insanity tomorrow so maybe a last ditch effort to lose a Linda before Friday morning weigh-in Wink

KOKO everyone!!
