You know I've jinxed the weather this month with that thread title Confused

Here's a link to May's Thread

Let's lose the Lindas. All welcome as we try and shift 7lbs in a month

Weighed in at 61.9kg which is what I deserve after a very indulgent get together tonight. Onwards and upwards!

QuimReaper · 14/06/2018 10:25

Last night I slept like a ROCK. Didn't even hear DH's alarm or him getting up. I think this is good. I have no real reason why I think it's good, but when I sleep crazily deeply after a Fast Day, I have this weird superstitious belief that I've pushed my body into some kind of Hyper Metabolic state and it needs to knock me out to do some kind of mysterious whooshing.

I don't know what I'm rambling about, I still haven't woken up properly, but maybe one of you knows what I mean Grin

Twix welcome back to the wagon! I'm sure you won't have entirely undone your hard work, once you get your focus back it'll slip back off more easily this time, you'll see. Just look at it as holiday weight, that's never as hard to shift as it was the first time around as it's mostly water and bloat.

BinkerTell · 14/06/2018 10:53

Hello lovelies - sorry I haven't checked in for a bit, been a busy couple of days.

Well done to the losses. twink - so sorry to hear of your failed IVF - please don't be too hard on yourself re weight.

I am rather surprised how much I'm enjoying eating a lower carb, higher fat diet. I'm sometimes struggling to make my daily calories (1500) and for the first time in ages, I haven't experienced any PMS. I think I remember there being a link between blood sugar levels and hormones (not sure what) so might read a bit more about that. It is nice to be able to eat cheese without feeling guilty.

I think I'm still enjoying the novelty though - using MFP and being creative in the kitchen. Also, summer. Will see how sustainable I find it in the depths of winter....

Twixes · 14/06/2018 12:56

I think I know what you mean Quim, lots of sleep can only be a good thing and it helps to stabilise blood sugar levels and such. I know a bad nights sleep turns me into a food monster anyway.

I also find it easier to diet in the summer, I'm delighted the weather's been so good lately because it made it so much easier (until I alighted from the wagon quite unceremoniously, but I'm back now of course).
Still feeling positive today and managed to do a three day green streak on MFP.

I also got a Fitbit recently, not sure I'm entirely convinced but it looks very The Jetsons on my wrist so at least that's something. Anyone got one?

QuimReaper · 15/06/2018 09:03

YAAAAAAAY! Weigh in far better than expected - 600g down on 2 weeks ago!

I had a terrible weigh in 2 weeks ago after the BH weekend and then didn't even bother weighing last week as it was such a shitshow, so I was hoping for a STS this week, didn't dream I'd drop back into my proper kg bracket!

I did think my post-BH weekend weight was undeservedly high, but at least it set my expectations high!

Grin

I only wanted a good weigh-in today to set me up for the next fortnight though - next week I'm out Monday AND Tuesday and the following week I'll be eating solidly from Weds-Sun. Then I'm stapling my lips together for July.

BinkerTell · 15/06/2018 14:20

Nice one Quim.

I'm out at the pub tonight. I think it will be gin and slimline tonic for me. And a cheeseboard with salad no crackers.

Hoolahoophop · 15/06/2018 15:43

Well done Quim. Thats great. Ive done well this week down to my lowest since starting. But DH and I are going out for a Chinese tonight. Figured time alone to reconnect was more important than the diet. Then a busy weekend so mondsy weigh in May not be so good.

QuimReaper · 15/06/2018 18:26

Binker that's quite astounding Friday Night Pub restraint! I'm a bit all or nothing though, I'd rather stay home under a bare bulb eating dust than go to the pub and be virtuous Grin

And on that note Hoola I quite agree. Let your hair down, have at the wine and noodles and really enjoy yourselves. You two really, really deserve it with the year you've had and I really hope a bit of downtime does its magic. Flowers

AdaArdor · 15/06/2018 20:20

Quim well done on your loss, its lways nice when you get a surprise drop!

Hoola night with DH sounds like a great idea, especially on a Friday. I really hope things even out and you are able to work through your problems together, to become stronger and happier Flowers

I decided to do a weigh in anyway today to see just how much my TOM would affect me; bearing in mind I also ate out Wednesday and Thursday (albeit no booze) I am down another half Linda!! I'm really hopeful that by next Friday I will be down another 1.5 to 151 - that would be 8 lbs in two months Smile

This TOM has been horrendous. I have been SO unbelievably exhausted, absolutely starving with the worst cravings, and very irritable. I don't know if my body is a bit weaker due to diet and exercise but she really isn't happy! I'm currently having a soak in the bath and then will head straight to bed to catch up on sleep before a rather relaxed weekend.

Hope everyone else has a lovely weekend!

ponygirlcurtis · 15/06/2018 21:47

Happy Friday to you all. I haven't eaten much the last few days as I am not feeling great, but have been having more carby stuff than I would usually have to try and ease my queasy stomach so have no idea how that will impact. Bleurgh.

CiderwithBuda · 16/06/2018 07:40

Sneaky weigh in this morning and I’ve gained 2 bloody pounds! Since yesterday! Passed off as a pissed off thing.

Might try new battery in the scales. Might cut my head off.

Definitely need to be super careful over the weekend.

Bitsandboobs · 16/06/2018 07:49

I'm back from my week in Greece! Hopefully I didn't over indulge too much, will weigh myself in a bit!! It was nice to feel good in my bikini and spurred me on to loose just a bit more, just to bring my body fat down to a nice level!

Bitsandboobs · 16/06/2018 08:27

I've gained 3lbs! Not too bad, I'm pretty sure that is purely baklava straight to my waist!! Easy myself back in today, eat what I want but no sweet treats and less carbs (the Greeks love to bring you a full loaf of bread and butter before you have even ordered!!)

Hoolahoophop · 16/06/2018 08:52

Morning all I put on 3lb ofwine and Chinese last night. Worth it though, much better atmosphere in the house today. Only the second time DH and I have both left dd with others (aside from hospital) in almost a year and a half!

That sounds good Hoola, you need time with each other especially with everything you have going on. Hope you have a good weekend together.

Cider it won't be 2lbs properly, just water or weight of food eaten. Keep going, it will disappear again, scales are fickle things.

Well done Koko!

Welcome back Bits - sounds like a lovely holiday!

goingonabearhunt1 · 17/06/2018 12:38

Hi everyone, I'd like to rejoin from a thread or 2 back. Have managed to lose 4lbs in last 2-3 wks after regaining quite a few. Very pleased but need to keep it that way! Have been doing 12000 kcal on MFP and trying not to drink alcohol in the week. Also aiming for 10,000 steps plus spin and yoga every week (and sometimes a walk/cycle on wknds). I find that a lot of my bad habits stem from not enough sleep so I'm also trying to get to bed earlier. I'm 3 lbs from goal weight which sounds so little but the last bit seems hard to lose.

CiderwithBuda · 17/06/2018 13:12

Hoola - sounds like a good evening! Hopefully you will both continue to feel the benefit of chatting etc.

Well done Koko - that’s a great loss!

Thanks Pony - I know but it’s disheartening!

I changed the battery in the scales yesterday and then stupidly weighed again. Dressed and after breakfast and lots of liquid. Up 5 pounds!

I knew it wasn’t a real 5 pound gain but it did make me be very careful yesterday. No wine last night which is pretty much unheard of for me in a Saturday night. Instead I had deconstructed wine. A small bowl of grapes!

Weighed this morning and scales are behaving again! Official weigh in is tomorrow. I’d like a other half pound off on this morning’s weigh in.

I’m going on holiday in three weeks and would like to lose 7 pounds by then. Which would be a Stone off from when I started.

Hi going - well done on your 4 pounds loss.

Last week I did some form of exercise every day for six days. I was so shattered after spinning yesterday! I think it’s th first time I’ve done six days in a row for about 18 years! Planning same next week.

NanBoleyn · 18/06/2018 05:18

Hi all, working away for 3 days of the week for the next month which may make healthy eating a challenge!
However the stress of a new role (short term teaching contract covering with no prep materials available!) has had the effect of a 2lb loss this week which is the silver lining!
Down to 9st 3lb and a total 1 st 7lb loss in 3 months which very happy with. This week will be a challenge with PMT so just aiming to keep it steady.
Good luck to all weighing in🌹

Hey everyone! Welcome back goingon, sounds like you're doing brilliantly. Although this made me laugh - "Have been doing 12000 kcal on MFP" Grin Sounds delicious!

I've never been to Greece Boobs, I'm so envious. The food is right up my street, I can't normally handle very sweet things but baklava is my absolute favourite, and I could live on taramasalata.

I'm out tonight. And tomorrow night. And Friday night. I'm not sure whether to bother with weighing in for the rest of the month...!

CiderwithBuda · 18/06/2018 12:55

Well last night was a wine fest. So annoyed with myself.

And the scales were drunk this morning too. I might have stayed the same. Or gained 4 pounds. Or lost two pounds. Or half a pound.

Anyway - I’ve ordered new scales!

Hoolahoophop · 18/06/2018 12:59

Enjoy Quim sounds like staying on track will be hard.

Going sounds like your doing brilliantly.

And Nan the stress diet always works for my Mum. But beware, it also bites her in the bum. I hope your work trip goes well.

After a bit of a blow out weekend I'm only up 2lb on Friday and still managed to loose a lb last week on averages. This week I'll try to be good, as taking the kids away next week so will be lots of ice cream.

lastqueenofscotland · 18/06/2018 14:05

Cider my scales were doing that and I’ve just got some lovely reliable salter ones

goingonabearhunt1 · 18/06/2018 14:15

oh woops i see i added an extra 0 in my post, well spotted quim 12000 kcal would be allow for a lot of cake/wine Grin

Today has been OK but don't want to speak too soon as I've got that Monday feeling.

Had some salad and a couple of stuffed vine leaves for lunch. I don't eat breakfast but always eat some kind of healthy snack around 3-4pm as that's when I tend to need it. Got some yoghurt for today.
