Arse a very big, wobbly arse I thought I was on track to lose 2lbs this week but have gained one, mainly due to having the audacity to have an ice cream and a gin on Thursday and a couple of glasses of prosecco and some nibbles last night. I hate the fact that this is so much effort.

Up 1lb this week - have been off the wagon a lot. Blush Sad Just did Level 1 of Ripped in 30 in 23 degree heat and I might just expire now.

Just weighed in after holiday and managed to maintain despite the all inclusive buffet and booze - phew!

How are people managing to exercise in this heat?

rabbitmat I find weekly weighing really demotivating. It seems such a lot of work and then only 1 pound lost in a week, or less, even if that's progress, it just seems so minimal. But 5 pounds in a month seems great! I know it's the same when you do the maths, but I find it makes the work seem worth it. (12 was fab, but that's some sort of odd beginner's luck and won't last).

cheddar I am not doing a 'diet', or at least none I know of. I am just trying to stick to about 300 cals breakie/500-600 lunch/600-700 dinner. No snacks, no alcohol or any drinks with calories, and no sweets. It's enough food and I don't feel hungry, but I am quite overweight so still losing at 1600 cals/day. I will have to adjust as I get closer to my goal.

I am trying to lose weight, sure, but I am also trying to find a way to eat that I can live with for the rest of my life. (I can accept alcohol and sweets as occasional treats, but I won't be cutting them out altogether longterm.)

Doje well done on maintaining despite holiday food and drink I’m away in four weeks and hope I can drop another half stone before then to compensate for any damage ! Smile I’ve managed to lose half a stone in four weeks it may not seem a lot however I’m post menopausal with all that hormone rubbish going on that does not help also I’m a small person think 5ft size 3 shoe before this extra weight I could wear childrens size clothes I have a stone to lose to get to my ideal weight I am just inside healthy bmi but I still look like a sack of spuds it’s not fair when you small every extra pound of fab shows if I were six inches taller I’d look great. On a positive note I’ve not ditched the booze just have red wine with healthy meals high in protein on a weekend so can’t complain.

I've stalled somewhat after being on holiday! Thankfully managed to maintain rather than gain, but I've not been shopping for food yet and so not managing to eat properly.

I am not doing well at all - back up 2lbs, Sad. I ate 3000 calories on Tuesday night - I counted them. About 700 were alcohol. I have been going to the gym a lot or doing a Jillian Michaels DVD, but I'm not seeing much difference - too much food! My ankles look slimmer and my arms look slightly more toned, but my awful fat tummy is completely unchanged.

My new plan: stick to the principles of the No S Diet - 3 meals a day, (with at least one meal being quite small, because I'm short), except weekends (weekends being defined as Fridays and Saturdays), and exercise a lot. No Snacks, No Seconds, No Sweets. Here goes!

Well I weighed this morning rather than tomorrow and Ive lost another 1lb so am just over 11 stone . I’ve cleared my wardrobe of all my size 20 and 18 jeans which are going in the next charity bag to drop through the door and I’ve just been to Next and bought some size 12 shorts .

I've well and truly fallen off the wagon, didn't even bother weighing last week as I knew it would be bad but that didn't stop me from eating too much this week Sad
I've got my period again, I seem to now have a 23 day cycle and I can't seem to not eat shite the week leading up to it and then the first few days so it's a good 10 day then a bad 10 days. So I need to try and break the cycle somehow.
I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and try very hard cause my holiday is in 4 weeks and I'll be mightly pissed if I'm still this size.

Stayed the same this week and lost a lb lost week but I know why as I've been out for a meal/ BBQ so I'm glad I stayed the same rather than put on. Well done to all those who have lost! Smile

Well to those who have lost his week my loss is just over half a pound same as last week so at least it’s going in the right direction- just toooooo hot to exercise at the moment and I can’t get up at five in the morning to beat the heat to do it esp when I can’t get to sleep because of the heat grrrrr!
