Anyone want to join me in sorting their shit out! 2.5 stones to lose and I'm starting tomorrow.

Well done everyone.
I’m 3lbs down. Pleased with that.
I’m staying over at my mums this weekend. I’ve got a big family that loves food. This is where it always goes wrong for me.
I go for a meal out and think oh it’s just this one meal but it throws me off the wagon completely then I can’t get back on.
I’m determined to not let that happen this time.

KatharineHilbery · 15/06/2018 08:35

Oh bollocks absolutely zero lost this week. Still 11 stone 8.

Balloondog · 15/06/2018 09:18

I'm down 5lbs!! Disclaimer: I'm using the somewhat temperamental digital scales but since I've had them in the same place the last few days and I've been weighing in every day and seeing a gradual decline I'm going to take it!

Well done to everyone who's had a loss and for those who haven't, hang in there, get back on the wagon if you've fallen off, it doesn't matter. We can do this!! Smile

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 15/06/2018 09:33

1lb down this week. It was 2 on Wed but despite staying under calories it has fluctuated up again. Never mind! I’ve set MFP to lose 1lb a week so this is perfect.

chickensandbees · 15/06/2018 10:38

Hi All,

I've had a good first week. Lost 3lbs.

I've mainly cut out bread and potatoes and snacking (crisps, biscuits etc.). It hasn't been too hard to be honest...but lets see what week 2 brings.....

I actually find weekdays harder, DH is very healthy so not snacking whilst he is around is easy. Work is harder as people bring in biscuits and cakes and then I go out at lunch time and buy a sharing bag of crisps and never share!! Grin

theedgeofthecloud · 15/06/2018 11:05

Have stayed the same this week which I'm pleased about given the big blip last weekend. Yesterday's food, all eaten on the go so not very healthy, was:

Breakfast: Donut peach.
Lunch: Costa salmon and cream cheese sandwich – c. 80% of it
Dinner: Eat salad – seeds, leaves, humous, chick peas, tabbouleh
Snacks: Oat cake, almond biscuit, dark chocolate hob nob, skinny flat white
Exercise: c. 30 minute walk

Have had strawberries, yoghurt and muesli for breakfast and am off shortly for yoga and a swim (day off today). Will be trying to stick to lower carb for the rest of the day - eggs, fish, veg.

Well done on your losses everyone. I think this is the longest I've ever tried to stick to anything and despite some blips I'm in this for the long term Grin. I think I'm generally eating more mindfully, making some better choices, and not resorting to throwing in the towel if I have a bad day / meal. It's still bloody hard though!!

cmcc22 · 15/06/2018 11:15

Just 2lbs off for me. 3 in total. Was hoping for more but at least it's the right direction.

Spent this morning packing and moving boxes (moving house in 7 weeks) so that's good exercise. I find it much easier to be good when I'm not working as i can keep on the move - rather than sitting at my computer when I am tempted to nip to the kitchen for a snack.

Fingers crossed I don't ruin everything this weekend!!

frustratedashell · 15/06/2018 11:19

Have lost all motivation at the moment. Well done to all who have lost weight

EmmaGrundyForPM · 15/06/2018 11:47

No loss this week. I'm not surprised as we have had two meals out (ds birthday and then dh birthday) but not great either. But as I lost 4lbs the week before it's an average of 2lbs per week which sounds better!

I'm going out to dinner with friends tomorrow night, will need to be careful about my food choices.

Well done to all those with more willpower than me!

koalab · 15/06/2018 12:45

Hi all. It's a stay the same week for me. I have been so unmotivated this week. Chocolate has snuck back in to my diet. My mum is visiting this weekend and she is always on a diet so I'm hoping it will kick me back in to gear.

amaygdala58 · 15/06/2018 13:03

Hi everyone despite having a celebration last weekend have managed to lose 1.3 lbs this week that .3 is really important!

I have a training course tomorrow - with lunch provided hope I can control myself - no alcohol since Monday despite having a stressful week - may just a glass of red this evening - keep going everyone

mckiwi07 · 15/06/2018 13:34

Stayed the same this week. Must. Try. Harder! Well done to everyone who has lost

JustLurkingAway · 15/06/2018 17:53

Still struggling here! PMT has well and truly got the better of me.

Anyway, have stayed the same this time round, which I'll take quite happily as I really did think I'd have gained this week.

Massive well done to everyone this week!

notsusan · 15/06/2018 17:58

lost a pound.

really could have been worse, I'll take that. must do better next week, got a holiday week after...

Rainbowblume · 15/06/2018 23:04

Evening all. Today's food
B. Half an apple, some red pepper sticks, a little bread with cream cheese and one weetabix with milk
L. Left over mushroom and pea risotto, cucumber and lettuce salad and a boiled egg
D. Invited to a friend house for a meal event - outdoor wok cooking as a birthday gift from birthday a few months ago. Heaps and heaps of stir and deep fried food. Five courses worth. So much, it almost hurts.

To drink. One massive Aperol spritz, few sips of white wine, a schnapps. One Tea with Milk and sugar. Water.

Back on it tomorrow but another celebration in the evening. Hoping to get away with eating less without seeming rude as there will be more people.

I think I'll avoid the scales until next Friday.

theedgeofthecloud · 16/06/2018 12:04

Morning all.

Healthy day time yesterday but gave myself a bit of a night off and had a few drinks and some dessert and some deli bits that were on offer from Lidl/M&S Grin. Did do a decent amount of exercise though. Food was:

Breakfast: Strawberries, small amount muesli, natural yoghurt
Lunch: Scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, spinach, green smoothe
Dinner: Meze of odds and sods- humous crisps, mozzarella balls, stuffed peppers/mushrooms, tuna with white beans and onion, prawns in pesto, 2 small vine leaves, one slice seeded bread and butter. Small dark chocolate and raspberry tart.
Drinks: Small can ale, 2 glasses red wine
Exercise: 1 hour hatha yoga class, 20 length swim

Have a good weekend everyone.

theedgeofthecloud · 16/06/2018 12:06

Gosh actually, that looks like an enormous amount of food now I've written it down Blush.

Rainbowblume · 16/06/2018 21:47

B. Bread. Fried egg fruit
L. Carrot and lentil soup, bread and cheese
D. At a parry - started ok with plate of salad and grilled veg and one sausage and one roll. Then ate dd left over potato salad. Crisps. Bit more bread and cheese. A mocktail. A shandy.

Tomorrow is a new day

ZetaPuppis · 17/06/2018 09:11

Restarting today after stating over with family and eating lots.
Today is going to be difficult so I’m trying to find ways of dealing with not eating loads. I find it easier if I get out of the house so I’ll try to do that as much as possible and I’ve plenty of chores to get on with too.

ltk · 17/06/2018 10:14

Have been sticking very carefully to no sugar/no snacks as far as possible every day (even if they start with an S!). It's been okay and I am losing weight, but I really wonder how long this is sustainable for!

At a birthday yesterday, I limited myself to one small piece of cake. Amazing.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 17/06/2018 11:00

I've just ordered new scales. ++2.2kg in one hour my arse...

user1469751309 · 17/06/2018 11:08

I lost 1 1/2 this week. Happy for a loss but as I have soooo much to loose I feel deflated as its going to take me forever to get where I want to be and plus as its Fathers Day today i will be having a cheat meal sigh

Balloondog · 17/06/2018 16:49

Weekends are hard aren't they... I've managed not to cheat today but have had to come home from a fun outdoor event as there was literally nothing there I could eat without falling off the wagon. I had mince and rice and a muller light when I got in which filled me but hasn't stopped the craving for chips/crisps/pizza/bread and butter etc. I'm so 'hungry' for them I could cry right now. I've brought myself up to the bedroom to try and put some distance between the kitchen and myself...

frustratedashell · 17/06/2018 19:59

Really struggling. My back is awful which makes me comfort eat. Think I'll ring the doctor tomorrow

Balloondog · 17/06/2018 21:14

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that @frustratedashell, I hope the Dr tomorrow will help. Meanwhile can you go for the 'least worst' comfort food option depending on what kind of diet you're following? I.e. tomato soup and brown bread rather than creamy soup, white bread, butter and cheese? Though frankly if you're on pain meds and need to line your stomach I'm all for eating what you need to eat and 'getting back on the diet horse' when you're able. Good luck at the Dr tomorrow x
