Anyone want to join me in sorting their shit out! 2.5 stones to lose and I'm starting tomorrow.

Back on it this week. Today I have eaten
2 weetabix
tortilla & salad
2 ham & tomato rolls
1 banana
1 cup of coffee; 1 of tea
Gallons of water
I might have a bit of yogurt as I ate with the children at 5.30 and my tummy is rumbling!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 19/06/2018 21:43

150 calories over and very bad nutritionally today.

Today's food has been
B packet chilli lentil crisps
L tin tomato soup & 2 oatcakes
D tacos x2, homemade and the smallest ones with more lettuce & tomatoes than mince
Half dozen black coffees and 2l water

But currently on my second glass of red wine 😖

Bad day today - people kept giving me brownies! I have mostly mastered but eating things people bring into the office, but what are you meant to do when someone puts a homemade brownie on the desk?!

Also - why are noodles so calorific? 231 cals for one 'nest'. A decent portion of rice is half that!

KatharineHilbery · 19/06/2018 23:29

Quite a good day today. Porridge for breakfast, egg sandwich for lunch, sushi for dinner. Snack: four pieces of white bread. Not great.
Why is white plastic bread so irresistible?

Narkle · 20/06/2018 05:09

Argh. Why am I finding it all so mch harder this time? I used to have the discipline to lose weight quite easily, but since having baby no.2 I've just not been able to follow any diet through.

I have broken the dry month promise (next possibility for that will be September what with all the events coming up over summer). I still eat too much. I can barely get out of bed in the mornings anymore, so my usual 30min cardio is out and I cling to every energy drink I can lay my hands on. It's creeping burn-out, which happens at this time of the year, but still - I should be better than that.

Feel bad even still posting here. I. Have. Zero. Motivation.
Someone please give me a kick up the arse; I hate what I see in the mirror.

ltk · 20/06/2018 07:41

narkle I am sorry that you are finding it so hard. Are you getting enough sleep? It is so hard to focus on making good food choices when exhausted and stressed.

What no or low calorie things can you drink at events without going for alcohol, which will only make you more tired? Anyone have good ideas on this? Slimline tonic and lemon?

ZetaPuppis · 20/06/2018 09:13

Argh 2lbs on today. Im bit hopeful for scales on Friday.
Strict day today and tomorrow to try to get momentum back. I’ve been looking at some weight loss before and after images on the net. Some of them are so inspiring.
Must remember to drink lots of water.
Hope everyone has a good day.

@frustratedashell I hope you have a better response at the GP today, got fingers and toes crossed for you

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar -how's the toe?

I had a shocking day yesterday that I'm ashamed to say included a bacon roll AND a sausage roll as well as normal meals ☹️ So far today I've had a porridge pot but I know that's going to slide as I've now got 2 hours sitting in a cafe while I wait for my train and then a catered work function plus a 3 hour train ride home with all the nonsense on offer then. The best plan I can think of at the moment is to try and sleep on the train to avoid temptation. I find it so hard to be good when I'm out and about and faced with deliciousness

frustratedashell · 20/06/2018 12:13

Hi everyone thanks for the good wishes.
Doctor was lovely, she's my favourite one.
Listened to my saga and has prescribed amitriptyline to be taken at night. Suggested I ring the hospital , physio dept cos I'm still on their books . Rang up and have got an appt Thursday of next week. I shall be pressing for an MRI , as doctor suggested. Trouble is it's getting near to the time of my new job starting. (2nd July)
Just feel tearful and anxious!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 20/06/2018 23:32

Oh dear, frustrated, fingers crossed the physio can see you quickly! Congratulations on the new job!

Narkle · 21/06/2018 05:10

ltk I'm a teacher in the middle of mock exam season. During term time I average 4 hours sleep during the week and about 6-8 hours a night at the weekend, so I am always in heavy sleep debt.
But I cannot manage to do my job and raise a family with 3 children aged 2-15 without doing those hours as my work alone eats 14-17 hours of my day during the week.

New job in September with a much shorter commute, though, so that might help matters.
If I cannot get my shit together soon I will need a new wardrobe full of clothes as all my current ones are now falling apart; I have left it so long to buy anything in this size.

frustratedashell · 21/06/2018 05:17

Morning guys (Yes I know it's early!
I've lost 3lbs and I've not been trying that hard, but I've almost sorted my constipation!! Lol .......
Hope you are all doing ok

ZetaPuppis · 21/06/2018 07:42

frustrated well done on the weight loss. Considering what you’re going through, you’re doing really well. Hope you get seen and sorted quickly.

Narkle that sounds exhausting! Too little sleep has such an impact on us. Wishing you well getting through this!

I had a good day yesterday where I had lunch only along with a couple of snacks. The lunch was a pad Thai in a restaurant probably fairly calorific and substantial. Then I had a peach, a cupcake and a few spoons of dinner. I need to have a strict day today.

frustratedashell · 21/06/2018 10:57

Thanks Zeta

frustratedashell · 21/06/2018 16:30

Quiet on here today! Back seems bit better today . Onwards and upwards !

Floralnomad · 21/06/2018 16:34

Glad you are feeling better frustrated . I’ve had an indifferent week and reckon I will have gained when I weigh in tomorrow , unfortunately it’s gooseberry season and i just cannot stay away from them , on the plus side I’ve eaten less fruit gums because I’m eating gooseberries .

ZetaPuppis · 21/06/2018 17:59

I’ll have gained tomorrow too. But it’s ok. I’m kind of back in the zone now.
Rice cake and marmite
Blueberries
Itsu noodle pot thing
Carrots and houmous
Crisps

I don’t feel like eating any dinner.

blibblibs · 21/06/2018 18:09

Glad you're feeling slightly better frustrated
I've had an OK couple of days but don't feel like I've lost anything, guess I'll find out tomorrow.
I've been having beans on toast for lunch. Was a tad surprised to realise a tin if beans was almost 400 calories but I can't have lunch till after two most days and it really fills you up so it's stopped me snacking and I haven't had dinner either, just some fruit later. Sure ill get bored of that very quickly though!

blibblibs · 22/06/2018 06:18

Early weigh in, lost 1.5lb so I'll take that.
Going in the right direction, just 5.5lb to go until I'm no longer in the over weight category!

rabbitmat · 22/06/2018 06:59

well done blibblibs. I've lost 2lbs this week. Still feels like such a long way to go!

cmcc22 · 22/06/2018 07:27

Hi all. Well done to those sticking to plans and good luck to those struggling but trying to get back on it. I was out for dinner last night (with wine) so no loss this morning - but no gain either so I'll take that. Here's to another week of trying 😘

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 22/06/2018 07:57

Have been ridiculously bad this week - think I only stuck to the diet 2 days out of 7. Blush By some miracle I am down 0.2lb...I will take that!

More resolution required next week!

ZetaPuppis · 22/06/2018 08:33

I am 1 lb up but I’m fine with that. Normally after a full on weekend, I’d just give up and carry on eating crap. This time I’ve managed to get back on to the wagon so I’m really pleased with that. It took me a few days but I got there Smile
I’m still 6lbs down from when we started on this thread so it’s not all bad.
