Anyone want to join me in sorting their shit out! 2.5 stones to lose and I'm starting tomorrow.

@frustratedashell which book of hers? I bought "say goodbye to overeating" a while back, got half way through and found it hard going so gave up?

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 25/06/2018 07:40

Is that 3 days with nothing but water? Goodness! How much did you lose?

Very very bad weekend! Seeing a pattern here...My Sunday exercise class has stopped for the summer, too. Have been potty training DS - he’s nearly 4 and refuses to poo in the toilet. He went from Friday to Sunday lunchtime without a poo and eventually pooed his pants at the beach on Sunday afternoon. Hmm We have been trying to potty train him since he was 2.5 (on and off) and my patience is wearing very thin!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 25/06/2018 07:41

Anyway, it was v stressful and I had a couple of medicinal gins.

SlinkyB · 25/06/2018 07:58

@TooExtraImmatureCheddar my two sons were the same! They are now 7.5 and 4.5, but both refused to poo in a toilet and would ask for a nappy instead. With ds1 I went strict and refused a nappy. He witheld his poo for...a WEEK! He is a master at it. Ended up on lactulose for months to sort him out. Finally cracked it about age 3.5 but he'd been potty trained since 2.5, dry at night at 3.

With ds2 I was more patient (just drank more wine and repeated "it's just a phase" over and over again!!). He is not reward or food driven so no bribery worked. Nothing. He wasn't potty trained properly til 3.3yrs, not dry at night until 4.3yrs, and that is when he started pooing in a toilet too! Actually, maybe he was 4yrs 1 month (Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear). He also witholds until we are home.

I've had a bad weekend too. Went out for dh's 40th birthday meal and was good in that I just ordered pan fried salmon and veg....but bad in that people's meat was overcooked so the manager gave us all free dessers so I shared a sundae with my niece and then had a slice of birthday cake ! Going to be extra good this week.

frustratedashell · 25/06/2018 08:55

Hi Slinky , yes it's that book. I did the same as you on my first attempt with reading the book. But I started again last week and it's working, so far. Maybe it's just the right time?

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 25/06/2018 09:27

Slinky, when I try to bribe DS he just starts negotiating - I say 'here are some sweeties I bought for poos in the toilet', and he immediately says 'no, no, mummy, the sweeties are for eating all my lunch/doing wees' (ie, things he has already done) and then when I won't give in he gets angry and starts yelling 'no, for LUNCH'.

NorthEndGal · 25/06/2018 11:49

@TooExtraImmatureChaddar yep, 3 days (80 hours) of nothing but water with a sprinkle of salt.
I was doing to reset my immune system, but as a side effect lost a few pounds (about 5 or 6)

ltk · 26/06/2018 16:49

Today I am mostly eating ice cubes. This weather is good for weight loss!

frustratedashell · 27/06/2018 13:18

How's everyone doing? I'm doing well. Weighing day for me tomorrow

blibblibs · 27/06/2018 16:36

It's not been a great week here. I don't know why I self sabotage, it's so bloody annoying Angry
I tried on some holiday clothes this afternoon, that although fit are too tight and that kept me away from the biscut tin!
5 weeks to go and I really really want to be in the normal weight range so why oh why do I keep eating shite!!!
I CAN do this!
Hope everyone else is doing well.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 27/06/2018 17:55

The heat is making me very sloth like and I'm so busy at work I'm just rolling out of bed-to work-to home-to bed so not great for exercise!

squidgesquodge · 27/06/2018 21:20

I'm feeling very smug as I just went to the freezer to get an ice cream, got it out of the freezer and then put it back in & got my weights out instead.
Last night I went for a run at 10pm and it was as surreal as it was warm & light.
Still the same weight as I was two weeks ago so I need to keep the exercise up

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 28/06/2018 14:20

I am not doing very well - weekends have been very bad! I was out for dinner last night too and had a few drinks. It's hard - I just want to sit in the sun with a cold beer or gin and tonic! I'm up a lb this morning but that could just be water retention from the heat.

I have done BodyPump twice this week and my tummy looks worse, if anything. Hmm It seems to stick out further!

squidgesquodge · 28/06/2018 15:46

All feelings of smugness have disappeared. Despite having to buy emergency larger clothes today and feeling like a baby elephant in the changing rooms, I have just eaten a slice of flapjack and three thin slices of baguette & Jam. So that's an extra 400 cals and I'd already accounted for my 1200 today. I could skip dinner (jacket potato) but it's a long time until bed time and the snacks I've just had aren't going to keep me full until then. Perhaps it will force me to do an exercise DVD

frustratedashell · 28/06/2018 18:17

Oh dear squidge ! Have you looked at the book I mentioned up thread? It's helping me a lot, although I appreciate it's each to her own. I've lost another 1/2 pound since Sunday, making it 3.25lbs this week.
Dead chuffed with that! I had afternoon tea out yesterday, bad timing but it was lovely!

AsAProfessionalFekko · 28/06/2018 20:23

I was at a conference from 7am and landlocked for food - everything was so greasy! All very nice but dripping with butter /oil.

rabbitmat · 29/06/2018 07:49

I've lost another two pounds this week. It's been too hot to do exercise at home so I've been doing some late evening brisk walks with the foxes and badgers. I've pretty much stuck to my 1200 calories apart from last weekend when I went to the pub with friends.

Floralnomad · 29/06/2018 08:40

I’ve lost 2lbs this week so I’m very happy with that . Hope everybody else is doing well .

ZetaPuppis · 29/06/2018 08:40

Well done rabbit

I sts this week so no loss. I’ve had a very busy and stressful week so I’m not surprised. I always put myself at the bottom of the family priority list.
I think I also have to admit that I’m addicted to my phone. It’s my way of escaping but I need to put it down and get more done so I’m not stressed. I’d have more time to prep salads and meals more suitable to weight loss.
Argh food and technology. They both have too much of a grip on me.

frustratedashell · 29/06/2018 09:04

I know what you mean about technology Zeta! I'm not working at the moment and I'm on here a lot and fb and watching Jezza Kyle! Lol. Start my new job on Monday, excited and nervous.

Well done ladies for your weight loss, keep going everyone

amaygdala58 · 29/06/2018 10:53

Not so good week on the exercise front -food ate too little due to stress daughter sent hospital for tests thought it was her heart but home now all ok - did manage to lose half a pound my scales are metric digital but at least it was something - must get off my backside next week but it’s hard in the hot weather 😀

3boys3dogshelp · 29/06/2018 11:23

I’ve stayed the same this week too. It’s been my birthday but I think I’ve sort of slipped into having a birthday week rather than day which is not ideal Blush. Need to find my self control and get my head back into it.

NorthEndGal · 29/06/2018 13:37

This was a wicked bad weekBlush I was on vacation, well leave it at that.
This week's weight:178

ltk · 30/06/2018 08:36

Did the one-month weigh-in this morning. I'd hoped to be at 180, and it was 179.6. So I lost 12 pounds in the first month. Really pleased with that.
Goal for this month is 2 pounds/week, so I hope to be at 172 for the 31st of July.
That seems a really long way away!!

rabbitmat · 30/06/2018 09:06

Well done Itk that's amazing. How do you manage to go a month without weighing?
