I need to lose three stone... My cunning plan to lose the two stone over the winter was scuppered by me putting on another one.
So does anyone fancy a healthy eating thread? Sensible and no sugar and crap?
Or does anyone have time to follow me around prising the rubbish I'm about to consume out of my mouth?
The plan is to eat really well then at the weekend have one reasonable treat. I'm going to eat carbs but small amounts early in the day and only wholegrain or brown rice.
I'm just going to start with a stone and then see how it goes.

@hmcAsWas thank you for the scales link, I will take a look tonight.

@cheshiremama89 you can do this! Pick something ok-ish off the menu on Saturday and then just load up with veg on Sunday for roast? Easier said than done when there's Yorkshire puddings to be scoffed though

@LilaoftheGreenwood I've just seen your post - ratatouille would have been great with the lamb steaks actually - I think you've sorted my dinner for tomorrow night.

Have tried a Body Coach recipe tonight - photo below (of the recipe book, not what I've actually cooked).

I was staaaaarving at lunchtime and went to KFC for one of their salads. Typically they'd run out so I ended up with a Twister. It wasn't actually too bad calorie-wise though so all is not lost.

Hope everyone else has had a good day?

Trying again with photo!!!

I can't believe it's going to be warm and i forgot to lose 3 stone over the winter.
Middleoftheroad · 26/04/2018 19:51

Lila I eat ratatouille every night!!! I stuff peppers with it and bake for a 150 cal meal that's packed with vitamin C (and, er, wind giving properties Blush)

Whereiscaroline impressive skills

Middleoftheroad · 26/04/2018 19:53

I also snack on these. 88 cal a bag and take ages to eat. Very tasty and surprisingly filling - but not great for said wind.... www.hollandandbarrett.com/shop/product/garbanzo-dry-roasted-chickpeas-thai-sweet-chilli-60098299?&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&gclid=Cj0KCQjw8YXXBRDXARIsAMzsQuVpdfFlAjLwllNNvOPKlE7o6Y_lvmXSOXNNcexBguSTq7Le0hharH4aAv2VEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

londonloves · 26/04/2018 20:00

Marks And spencer 72% dark chocolate is surprisingly low cal... caved today after a really difficult morning but I think damage is limited as didn't go for the hazelnut praline I usually have...!
Done lots of walking today so seem to be 114 cal is under (although I feel like I must have forgotten to log something)

londonloves · 26/04/2018 20:01

Chickpea thing looks great. Been meaning to get some chickpeas to go in salads actually. And I'm inspired to cook up some ratatouille!

Middleoftheroad · 26/04/2018 20:11

Love dark choc - but would eat it ALL.

London - the chickpeas are dried so I eat instead of crisps. Guess like Bombay mix texture. They take a while to munch, whereas I could demolish a bag of French Fries in a sec. They're quite pricey but can sometimes get them on offer.

PixieN · 27/04/2018 07:50

Love the meal & snack ideas! I’m aching all over after my run the other day - it was a real struggle to get out of bed & walk downstairs lol.

Good luck as we head into the weekend ladies. I’m going to try very hard not to drink too much! May try another run if my legs start working again.....

Middleoftheroad · 27/04/2018 11:19

Well done PixieN - I need to exercise more.

Struggling today. Declined an invitation out tomorrow as it involves drinking and eating - you know, the fun stuff. May take kids to cinema instead as I take Aldi's skinny popcorn as it's only 117 cals a bag (ok so I may eat two bags).

Promised my son I'd take him to lunch too.

Why does the fun stuff always involve food and drink?

OhGood · 28/04/2018 10:20

Argh have checked out on this and just trying to keep head above water at work.

Aim this week is to weigh on Monday morning and then to start taking lunch in to work, as SO EXPENSIVE.

Right, let's see.

Losers you are seriously motivating me.

LilaoftheGreenwood · 28/04/2018 11:21

Oh dear, haven't posted for a couple of days, my alcohol is creeping up, a pint on Thursday night and a large glass of wine Friday.

Not sure what I feel about that. Obviously if that's all for the week that's fine. But I'm having to be so vigilant about not having more, planning what size drinks/bottles to buy etc - maybe moderation takes more willpower than actually quitting. I definitely found this when I stopped smoking, I seemed to suddenly have loads more time and emotional energy because I wasn't continuously solving this "when am I allowed to smoke next" problem.

BUT I have lost four inches of bloat off my waist measurement since last weekend. Was 38" then and 34". It won't be much fat, but I look and feel so much better. I ate sensibly as well, but as in "not having pain au chocolat for breakfast", not any rigorous dieting, so I assume it's mostly the shreds! Two shreds and a half hour yoga with Adrienne (love her, she's like Jillian's kind little sister).

Scales still haven't arrived because DPD are the worst courier in the world.

Everyone have a great loser weekend!

LilaoftheGreenwood · 28/04/2018 11:25

I've also just been reminded by a Cadbury's Easter egg advert in the sidebar that I actually DREAMED of eating an easter egg last night Shock Shock Adverts are getting scary. I mean why is it there at this time of year??

londonloves · 28/04/2018 14:41

Just found a pair of size 14 jeans that fit me!!!! Woooooooop!!! And also a dress for my registry office wedding which fits now but will still fit if I lose stacks of weight between now and end of July.
My wonderful mother has tiger bread in her house though which is kind of like crack to me.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'm going to go and hunt chickpea snacks now at Holland and Barrat.

captainbizz · 28/04/2018 14:44

Am feeling proud of myself so far today. Went to the gym (first time in a month) then ate smoked salmon and spinach LIKE A HEALTHY PERSON. More fish and some veggies for dinner.. Planning on keeping up the good diet and being slim by tomorrow 🤞🏼

winterisstillcoming · 28/04/2018 15:47

Hey everybody, i'm hanging in by a thread!

Well done everyone, I've lost a pound! The dress is fitting better, less of the sofa look. I've bought some heels which have taken a few pounds off instantly as well.

I'm in the groove now of the healthy eating thank goodness, but it's taken time. The hunger is going but the bad temperedness isn't.

Loving the recipes too, lots of inspiration. I've marinated some chicken with Nando's rub as it's burger night with all the trimmings tonight.

Happy,weekend everyone.

cheshiremama89 · 28/04/2018 20:51

So DH and I have just booked an amazing holiday to Greece in September.

If that's not motivation I don't know what is!

Currently 10 stone, some days a pound or two below...

I would like to be 8.5 stone...

Grin
winterisstillcoming · 28/04/2018 21:05

Cheshire, I'm exactly the same weight with exactly the same goal! When's the holiday?

winterisstillcoming · 28/04/2018 21:06

Sorry just seen September. It's doable, I'm rooting for you.

cheshiremama89 · 28/04/2018 21:16

@winterisstillcoming

DS is 3 months today and I have a real jelly belly, not sure how that will look as the weight comes off?

Not sure if it will become looser or that tighten?

As for the stretch marks - there's not a lot I can do!

Looking forward to feeling slimmer and wearing what I want!

cheshiremama89 · 28/04/2018 21:17

@winterisstillcoming what height are you?

I'm only 5'2 so 10st is pretty heavy 😩

PixieN · 28/04/2018 21:50

I’ve been very bad today & had wine & cheesecake 🙈

I would love to be 10st. My target is 9st 7.

millimat · 28/04/2018 21:59

@cheshiremama89 I'm that height but would love to be your weight! I know everyone carries it differently though.

Middleoftheroad · 29/04/2018 14:02

I'm 5ft 2 too and would love to be 10st again. My goal is 9.5. Currently about 11st 4 but was 11 st 11 three weeks ago so that's half a stone lighter I suppose.

London - did you find the chickpeas? I need to buy some more soon. I keep them in my desk drawer at work.

londonloves · 29/04/2018 14:51

I ran out of time shopping, only had a limited window of babycare... there's an H and B on my way to work so I will have a look on tues.
Have had a super stressful weekend with family aggro and wedding planning and had wine last night, I think I will succumb tonight too to recover and start again tomorrow. Weekend eating hasn't been too bad as I've skipped lunch both days to make up for my mother's cooking and bread provision!
Will assess the damage when I get on scales tomorrow and try and get in some extra walking miles to compensate.
My goal now is another 10lb by 25th May, then another stone minimum by 1st Sept (wedding)

WinnersClub · 29/04/2018 15:04

Cheshire Another one of similar stature here. 5ft 1and half to be precise and 10stone.

I’ve shot up to 10stone from 9lb 7. In the last 3 weeks. I got too complacent and started eating more sugar, Cheerios for breakfast, lashings of ice cream, DS has also been baking so what’s a girl to do? Make custard Blush to go with it. I was horrified when I saw my photos from a recent party, poetising tummy in what I though looked really fitted and streamline Blush. An awful bulge has also appeared in my armpit that hadn’t been there for yrs. so I’ve gone cold turkey on sugar, it’s 4 days now and really hard, it inoticed the awful bulge in the armpit has significantly reduced.
