Thin by Christmas! At least 5 stones to get rid of.

I have to lose 5 stones. 6 would be better. My excess weight is not helping my health. It’s one thing to worry about how I look but it’s really holding me back now. I’m tired and achey.

I’m pushing 50 so I really ought to get a grip!

My plan is to generally be healthier and eat better, eat less and squeeze in some exercise. Which is tricky because I work really long hours.

I’m starting now. I ate a huge Belgian bun earlier while standing up putting shopping away. Things like that need to stop.

If anyone wants to join please feel free but I intend to post even if I just talk to myself.

If I’m successful I’m going to treat myself to new clothes for Christmas. I’m in elasticated waisted jersey trousers now, ugh!

Can I join you!. I have 5 stone to lose but I'm only in my 20s I don't want my baby growing up seeing a mum that's this unhealthy. I've done it before (even used to go running 3 times a week) but I seem to have lost all of my self control.

glitterbiscuits · 08/03/2018 19:46

All welcome

Go for it @mrkaykay! My children have never seen thin me. And my regular attempts at dieting set appalling examples.

Luckily my snacking and bingeing are usually when they aren’t around. And our family meals are generally very healthy.

Same. Though that causes me problems I could happily go all day eating healthy small meals or even miss meals if I'm around people but leave me on my own and I will scoff all of the chocolate, crisps or even bread. My husband has to lock the snacks in the filing cabinet to stop me eating everything whilst he's at work.
Today I have over eaten already on my first day (admitidly it was all vegetables) but I did do a exercise video!. I measured my waist for the first time since having my baby it used to be 26" it's now 35" :(.

cheesemumma · 09/03/2018 07:14

Hi guys. Still off work today. Ate nothing on Wednesday so yesterday at lunchtime I was SOOO hungry i ate a massive lunch. Wasn't that unhealthy but still a lot.

This morning I had a peanut butter sandwich.

I want the Monday weigh in now!

glitterbiscuits · 09/03/2018 08:28

I had to make cakes for school today and I had one for breakfast as I was packing them. I don’t have a problem with that, it’s the fact I ate it standing up again. If I’d waited until later and sat down with a drink I would have enjoyed it.

Still feeling fairly determined. Forgot vitamins yesterday but I’m keeping up with skin care.

I had a bad day yesterday too and ate a load of snacks some healthy and some not so! Anyway noted it all down in mfp and will try not to do it again! We are away this weekend so will be impossible to keep to healthy food especially as husband snacks even more than me and has already bought a packet of Pringles for the journey Angry

JustBeingJobless · 09/03/2018 23:30

I was weighed this morning and I’m now 12lb down :) Had a glass of wine tonight and have somehow managed to eat a bar of chocolate that has been sitting in the fridge for weeks. I didn’t even enjoy it really! Why do I do it?? Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

cheesemumma · 09/03/2018 23:52

@justbeingjobless that's amazing!!! We'll done. A glass I win and some chic is fine. Just eat healthy for the rest of the week!!

cheesemumma · 09/03/2018 23:55

I've not been good. Been off sick for last few days. You'd think with dand v I'd be loosing weight!! But don't think so. I eat coz I'm really hungry, then face the consequences. What's the point of d and v I it doesn't give you a weight loss boost. I'm also a little worried my DD will catch it as well now as it's been going on for a few days now.

BackAwayFatty · 10/03/2018 00:19

Weight myself this morning cause I couldn't help myself!

Sunday 15st 2
Today 14st 8

Goal 10st 4

Would love if I lost that much every week but it's only cause I've cut out dairy again - I'm intolerant but naughty & eat it! Ha

BackAwayFatty · 10/03/2018 00:19

Did spend tonight eating way more than I should have so might have counteracted weight loss.

cheesemumma · 10/03/2018 05:46

Haha @backawayfatty.bim sure you haven't!!! 6lb is an amazing amount in 6 days. Congratulations. Hope it has inspired you to keep going.

lovesugarfreejelly63 · 10/03/2018 05:54

Good luck to everyone regarding losing weight, I am in the same boat, found that being in Lent has kept me on track, not weighed myself but slowly a waistline is emerging! (Must discuss with the Vicar to see if he can arrange 4 Lents in a year!)

glitterbiscuits · 10/03/2018 09:00

I’m feeling less bloated but in reality I’m only back to the weight I was before Christmas. I need to get rid of another stone and a half before I get to my last ‘successful’ diet weight. After that I’m in new territory.

I don’t find the weekend any harder than weekdays. If anything they may be slightly better as I can focus on myself a bit more.

@buzzybuzzybeeshoes not on a roll yet. Struggling to get into a routine to be honest.

glitterbiscuits · 10/03/2018 16:39

@SootyandMathew - you could always post what you are eating and drinking on this thread as accountability?

lovesugarfreejelly63 · 11/03/2018 06:12

Glitter, I find that an achievement to get back to the weight you were before Christmas, keep going, you have the will power - go for it!

glitterbiscuits · 11/03/2018 13:08

When I get a 14 something on the scales I’m going to treat myself to one of those Babyliss Perfect Curls I keep reading about.

Has anyone else got any rewards in mind?

OP posts:
cheesemumma · 11/03/2018 13:11

I've already bought a dress in a 16. The aim is to fit in it but my brother's wedding at the end of may. I'm assuming I'll have e to be around 14st 7lb. So that will be my reward!!

glitterbiscuits · 11/03/2018 19:04

If anyone wants to join or has stuck with weight loss this week then tomorrow is weigh in day!

Monday 12th March 2018

Glitterbiscuits 16st 8lbs - loss 2lbs.

OP posts:
glitterbiscuits · 12/03/2018 07:00

I would have liked a bigger loss but I haven’t been deprived at all. I was lower middle of the week than now.
I ate a lot of crusty wholemeal bread on Saturday. I’ve also done no exercise at all.
And for once in my life I ate 2 squares of chocolate on Saturday and put the rest of the bar in fridge. And did the same on Sunday! There is uneaten chocolate in the fridge!

OP posts:
sar302 · 12/03/2018 07:17

15 stone 2lbs

Grr - 3lb gain

I'm putting it down to a combination of Mother's Day chocolate and first day of period!

Hoping for a loss next week!

JanesTeddy · 12/03/2018 07:28

Well after horrendous week, my eldest lovely Gsd 🐶😢😭died suddenly on Wednesday, and diet wasn't at the forefront of my mind.

Plus rain meant not much outside dog walking for the pup.

Anyways

12 march 18 =. 19 stone. 0 lb. -4 loss

I'd rather have my dog though.

cheesemumma · 12/03/2018 07:28

15st 7lb a 2lb loss.

I'm a little annoyed at it jut being that as I was I'll all week, however happy it's a loss. 8lb to be in the 14!!! Keep going.
