I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

Talk I had water too. I just went out to distract myself from food.

TalkinPeace · 15/01/2018 16:00

Aha,
Have you tried Miso soup? Just that its zilch calories, no caffeine and tricks your tummy into thinking its busy for a while and its warm which is a bonus

naughtycurly · 15/01/2018 16:20

Talking what does Miso taste like?

OP posts:
TalkinPeace · 15/01/2018 16:55

Its very Umami !
Its a type of soya paste - I use the jar from Sainsbury (from the exotic foods shelves) - One small spoonful into a mug of hot water : with chopped spring onions or chives if you want to be posh
its sort of like bovril - watery but warming but because it has a little salt in it, seems to sate the system.

I drink a LOT of tea, but after 7pm avoid all caffeine and Miso hits the spot.

If you buy it and do not like it, the paste is FAB in oriental stir fry type dishes so you'll not have wasted your money
some of you know that I have two main posting topics : weight loss and debt management

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 15/01/2018 18:04

Miso paste ordered, hoping I git the right one? Organic 300g, the smaller one for soup had awful reviews....

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 15/01/2018 18:05

Got!! Nobody is a git Grin

Foghead · 15/01/2018 18:20

WorkingMumOnTheGo · 15/01/2018 21:33

I have lost 1lb! I am 9st 10lb (target weight is 8st, my starting weight was 13st 5lb)

MissMary0fSweden · 15/01/2018 21:48

Joining in!

I'm 5ft 2, and 11st 5lb. Fattest I've ever been, including when pregnant Shock

Would like to get to around 9st ish- a size 10 anyway.

Ohyesiam · 15/01/2018 22:10

I'm in!
5'7" 13 stone 1. I would like v to be about 10, 10.5 stone.
I lost almost 3 stone last year, put 7llb back on at ChristmasBlush.
Have been feeling very stuck and out of control. Then this morning I didn't have breakfast, and I remembered how much I love that feeling of NOT BEING FULL all the time. And somehow I'm back on it. YAY!

So, MFP, a Max of 1500 calories a day ( had about 1200 today), and working towards the blood sugar diet principals, but can't quite let go of the carb yet.
Here's to us all teaching target.

PrimalLass · 15/01/2018 22:41

Me please. 5ft5 and would like to lose some 1.5 stones by summer. Unlikely though so I would settle on a stone.

TalkinPeace · 15/01/2018 22:45

Aim to lose 1 lb per week (averaged across a month)
It adds up to quite a lot over a year
and the slow controlled approach gives you time to settle into good habits

PrimalLass · 15/01/2018 22:48

I'm cutting back on my carbs again, and the booze. Should get a decent fast result at first but then I lose interest.

IsabelleSE19 · 15/01/2018 23:03

Hi! I logged on earlier hoping to find basically this exact thread, so please can I join in?

5' 5'', 12 st 9 lb – the heaviest I've ever been, like other pps, including while pregnant. Depressingly if I lost a stone I still would feel overweight, so desperately need to act now before it gets any worse.

Have already done C25k, although had lapsed for a while. Went on three runs last week for the first time in months, although sadly exercise doesn't make too much difference!

On the food side, am trying 5:2 again - had really good results with that after my first DC, although tried it again after second DC and it wasn't so effective. Have done four fast days in about a week and a half, although only just got scales working again so not exactly sure what my starting weight was.

Please let this work, or I need to buy all new big clothes!

poorpaws · 15/01/2018 23:04

Please may I join you. 5ft 4 and weighed 10 stone 12 3/4 this morning. I’m on another thread but need so much help with my weight loss excuses that I thought I’d join you too. Before Christmas I weighed 10 stone 3 so I think it has to be back to Weight Watchers next week for me. I’ve read the whole thread and you all sound very positive, which is lovely.

RubySlippers77 · 15/01/2018 23:13

I have just bit the bullet and ordered some size 16 trousers Blush I have never in my life been a size 16 before, usually a 12/14, but am no nearer fitting back into my smaller clothes and getting desperate to have something to wear!! It would help if I wasn't Humpty Dumpty shaped Confused

Still haven't found the motivation to start any sort of diet plan/ healthy eating as this flu bug is still robbing me of any energy. Apparently the post flu aches and pains I'm now suffering from are a type of arthritis - no wonder I'm constantly popping painkillers! Trying to find a gentle way back into exercising...

fluffygreenmonsterhoody · 16/01/2018 06:52

Yuck! Weighed in yesterday and somehow UP to 11at 5lb - that’s 2lb ON when I’ve been bang in my 1200 calories every day for the past week!

I’m blaming my period, the scales and Donald Trump.

naughtycurly · 16/01/2018 06:55

Good morning all, and welcome new recruits.

I had a good day yesterday, I managed to resist the temptation to eat everything in sight. It was so nice waking up this morning and not feeling disgusted with myself.

I feel really unhappy about not being able to fit into 98% of my clothes but I am absolutely not going to buy bigger clothes in a size 16. Luckily I get to wear a uniform for work, I am a midwife so I don't struggle with what to wear to work.

This thread is helping me so much, we are all in the same fat boat!

How are you all doing?.

Oh Fluffy, that is so disheartening. It will be your period don't worry x
