I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

Hello, can I join? I'm currently 11st 10 which is more than I weighed heavily pregnant 8 years ago Shock

I'm trying the new WW switch thingy online but I'm just too lazy to log everything and before I know it...

lurkingfromhome · 09/04/2018 10:08

Of course, the more the merrier! We need some more people at the moment as I think us diehards on the thread are all getting slightly jaded with the whole thing!

Anyway, I've done well this week although I suspect my weight loss is dehydration-related and by Wednesday I'll have put at least a pound back on:

Started at: 11 st 11
Last week: 10 st 8
Today: 10 st 6.8
Target: 10 st 3

Just a few pounds to go but I think I might try to get down to 10 stone as I still have a roll of flab around my middle that I'm not overly happy about so another bit of poundage lost would be no bad thing.

greenspikes · 09/04/2018 10:11

Can I join too please? Just weighed in at 11stone 8pounds and I am 5ft 3. Would love to lose 2.5stone. When is weigh day for everyone else?

mumblechum0 · 09/04/2018 11:32

Can I join too please?
I realised on New Years Day I had to do something, was 11st 1 (I'm 5 foot 4,). Have lost 16 lbs so far, so am now 9st 13, but need to lose another 10lbs.

I've lost the 16lbs on My Fitness Pal, obsessively weighing portions and putting in even odd cherry tomatoes.

I'm permanently hungry but it's going to be worth it!!!

IsabelleSE19 · 09/04/2018 11:39

Hello to new people - all more than welcome! As lurking said, we need a few more to keep us going!

Well done on another loss lurking - you are consistently good!

I am back under 12st after last week's blip, thank god, hoping to really kickstart it again once the Easter holidays are over.

Starting weight: 12st 9lb
Last week: 12st 0.5 lb
This week: 11st 13.5lb

lurkingfromhome · 09/04/2018 12:01

Welcome all new people, and well done mumblechum0, that's a great loss so far. Sounds like we have around the same to lose (I'm thinking now I could maybe aim for just under 10 stone) so let's keep at it.

Weigh-in day is Monday, so please everyone join us!

Caggie09 · 09/04/2018 17:37

Hello all the newbies! Nice to see more joiningSmile
Well done Lurking, you are really going for it.

Had abit of a panic when i got on the scales, was showing 10st 7!! I was fully clothed, so got naked and its now telling me 10st 5. Dont care if its cheating, im taking the 10st 5.
The positive energy id back, im cooking new things to, which has helped.

mumblechum0 · 09/04/2018 17:39

Thanks Caggie,

And surely the first rule of Diet Club is to only ever weigh yourself first thing in the morning, nekkid!

Gordonbennit · 09/04/2018 20:10

Good evening all

Well done the those who lost some!!! Must be such a rewarding feeling, as it's really really not easy is it, big claps to you all from me Smile

As you see below I have gained weight and completely deserve it with all the Easter eggs iv eaten 'with the kids' of course.

Perhaps I just don't want it that bad, but with no clothes to fit me and a feeling of disgust when I look in the mirror surely then I do want to shed some pounds. Anyway it's only week 2 of me actually telling anyone what I weigh so perhaps the inner shame from this week will set me up for a good week from now on.

Kids back at school - I'm back to work routine in place.

Good luck everyone, with blue skies on the way - how nice would it be to wear a vest in the summer without a cardi to cover my overflowing back flab

Weighed this morn (in clothes)
12 stone 3lbs

sixchickens · 09/04/2018 21:37

Hello everyone, can I join please?
Have put on so much weight was good last summer and started losing some and did couch to 5k, but then broke my wrist and piled so much weight back on again. Just want to eat all the time... But need to stop as none of my clothes fit and I feel horrible.
Have just done tesco order for tomorrow with fruit and veg to try and snack on those instead .
Really need more willpower!
Blush

Netflixandchilli · 11/04/2018 16:42

I'm joining! I need a boot up arse! 13st and 5'8". Have three stone to lose. Deeply unhappy with myself for letting myself go. Boredom and compulsive eating 😔

IsabelleSE19 · 11/04/2018 17:17

Welcome! I was going to say lovely to have new people, but I don't want you to think I'm pleased you want to lose weight Confused

Anyway, good luck with it - we're all in it together!

lurkingfromhome · 16/04/2018 08:09

Happy weigh-in day everyone Grin

My stats for this week are:

Started at: 11 st 11
Last week: 10 st 6.8
Today: 10 st 5.8
Target: 10 st 3

Progress is getting painfully slow but at least it's all going in the right direction. I have two celebration dinners this coming weekend so I'm going to knuckle down and have a very disciplined week until that point. Hope everyone else is doing ok. Welcome all new people!

Mumblechum0 · 16/04/2018 11:57

I've wobbled a bit, gone from 9.13 to 9.12 to 10.2, now back to 9.13 today.

I can honestly say that losing weight has been the toughest thing I've ever tried to do; usually I put my mind to doing something, crack on and do it no matter how hard the obstacles but this is sooo bloody hard.

Mumblechum0 · 16/04/2018 11:58

Well done Lurking! You're almost there Smile

lurkingfromhome · 16/04/2018 12:07

I know, but I still seem to have a roll of flab around my stomach that I just can't get rid of, so I may press on for another few pounds and try to get below 10!

It's really annoying that weight never comes off where you most need it to. My arms and legs are really quite skinny now and I've lost a couple of inches off my waist but my stomach seems to have barely changed in size, grrrrrr.

That's a good result, mumblechum - it's often two steps forward, one step back so you're back in the "9 stone something" range, which is always a psychological boost. You're doing really well to have got from 11 something to 9 something in the course of a few months.

IsabelleSE19 · 16/04/2018 17:30

So close to your target lurking - well done!

My stats:
Starting weight: 12st 9lb
Last week: 11st 13.5 lb
This week: 11st 13.25lb

So a teeny weeny loss, but now the Easter holidays are over I'm hoping it will be a bit easier!

Has anyone else tried Jillian Michaels' 30-Day Shred? I was reading a thread about that the other day and it sounded like it might be useful to help tone up.

Caggie09 · 19/04/2018 21:42

Ive not weighed this week, had abit of a break as its been my birthday! Will weigh in soon!

lurkingfromhome · 20/04/2018 07:28

Happy birthday Caggie. Oh yes, it would be too tragic to have to weigh in and deprive yourself of birthday cake.

Isabelle, I've read good things about the Shred and I just remembered I actually bought the DVD years ago and it is still sitting unopened on my shelf Grin. I might actually open it this weekend and see what it's all about.

I think I really have to start and tone up a bit as I'm pretty happy with my weight now but I do look like it could all do with a bit of tightening up. I do Pilates once a week but that isn't enough, so I'm thinking some sort of other strength exercise is required. How I'm going to fit that into my week is anyone's guess.

Mumblechum0 · 20/04/2018 08:51

Lurking, there are quite a few good 20minute workouts on Youtube, and (my favourite), a 7 minute one designed to work on abs, which I do every morning and I've lost an inch off my waist in a week on that one.

7 minutes is nothing really, and it does make a difference to how I feel in the morning if I've kick started my metabolism Smile

IsabelleSE19 · 20/04/2018 09:37

Happy birthday Caggie! Hope you're enjoying your week off!

Ha ha lurking - you can guinea pig the 30DS and let me know if it's worth getting then! On the recent thread about it someone also recommended Jessica Smith for less high-impact stuff. I think she's on YouTube. I still need to lose weight AND get rid of wobbly bits (where possible)!

lurkingfromhome · 20/04/2018 15:25

Oh mumblechum yes yes that sounds exactly like what I need! Could you share a couple of links, please, especially to the 7 minute miracle ab workout?

Mumblechum0 · 20/04/2018 16:45

m.youtube.com/watch?v=Jru5B044HOs

Here’s my favourite 😊

lurkingfromhome · 23/04/2018 07:48

Thanks mumblechum. That looks fab. I am determined to start this today so will report back.

Today's weigh-in stats:

Started at: 11 st 11
Last week: 10 st 5.8
Today: 10 st 5.2
Target: 10 st 3 (actually I may as well just aim for 10 stone)

Weight loss now crawling to a halt, but I did have two big celebratory birthday dinners over the weekend and I think last night's is still lying heavily in my stomach. We've just booked a holiday at the end of May - exactly 5 weeks away, so that gives me an incentive to get down to target weight and below by that date. I am going to do it. Soup tonight to compensate for the weekend's excess.

Good luck everyone!
