I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

Morning! Congratulations again lurking - you're doing so brilliantly!

Not a good week for me - I ate a lot of salad in the heat but a lot of ice cream as well. Yesterday a plastic chair I was standing on cracked, as did the little plastic Ikea step the kids use the day before. My 6yo DS said "I think you should get the exercise DVD Mummy"! Blush So I'm ordering 30 Day Shred today.

Starting weight: 12st 9lb
Last week: 11st 13.25 lb
This week: 11st 13.75 lb

I think I'm just a bit too easy on myself - since I stopped doing the 5:2 I haven't had the structure of an actual diet and so it's easier to slip into bad old habits. Will try today to get back to no snacking except fruit and veg!

Mumblechum0 · 23/04/2018 15:19

Lurking you’re going in the right direction 👍🏼

Not much happening this week, one night in the pub outstripped a week of being starving 😟so:
Starting weight New Year: 11st 1
Last week: 9st 12
Today: 9 st 11

Fed up of being hungry all the time and only losing 1lb per week

IsabelleSE19 · 23/04/2018 15:50

Well done Mumble - any loss is good, but I know how it can seem like a poor return for so much effort. Easier for me to rationalise a gain as I know I didn't commit fully this week.

I ordered 30 Day Shred, but in the meantime tried a workout from Jessica Smith on YouTube, which was good. I have a feeling that Jillian Michaels is going to be more brutal!

lurkingfromhome · 23/04/2018 18:21

Mumble, I think a pound a week is fine. I keep telling myself the extra weight didn't go on in a month so it's not likely to come off any faster. I do agree, though, that the amount of effort it takes to lose a pound (loads!) compared to how easily a pound can go on is just downright unfair.

I did a 10-minute abs workout today and am going to try to do the same every day for as long as I can bear it. I did feel quite knackered afterwards but must keep it going.

Twistedrainbow · 23/04/2018 18:22

I have had an ok week. I'm 1lb down and feel that I have eaten quite well.

I also started Asana Rebel yoga which I am really enjoying. My upper legs and bum are feeling it today and those are my worst areas so it can only be good, right?

Twistedrainbow · 23/04/2018 18:25

I meant to add to stay strong everyone, it's a new week to either carry on well, or do over Grin

I am struggling with finding the return button on the app, I keep hitting post instead!

PinkbicyclesinBerlin · 23/04/2018 18:26

Wow I have just seen some of the results on here from some of you and I would love to join in. Been a stressful few months and I’ve put on a stone so I’d like to have a go at making some changes. I hope it is okay to join at this stage.

Twistedrainbow · 23/04/2018 18:27

Omg Mumble, you are doing so well! Please don't beat yourself up over one night...

If I had got my arse into gear in January Too (like you did) I wouldn't be in this sorry state today

Caggie09 · 23/04/2018 19:12

You've all done so well!! Im back aboard, im 10st 5, but taking it seriously now. If i behave i will get down to 10st 3 which i seen last time. Been a good day, lets go!

IsabelleSE19 · 23/04/2018 20:19

Hi Pink, definitely okay to join! Welcome and good luck! Smile

PinkbicyclesinBerlin · 24/04/2018 16:30

Thanks Isabelle

lurkingfromhome · 24/04/2018 17:26

Hello pink, yes yes do join us. We can all use some motivation and willpower. We normally weigh in on a Monday and post the results here.

Well done Caggie. I too am 10 st 5 now so let's get this last bit of poundage off us.

PinkbicyclesinBerlin · 24/04/2018 20:50

Okay great. I will start this Monday.

lurkingfromhome · 30/04/2018 08:14

Monday weigh-in alert!

Today's stats:

Started at: 11 st 11
Last week: 10 st 5.2
Today: 10 st 3.6
Target: 10 st 3 although have now decided just to go for 10 stone

So that was quite a good week - not sure why other than I've been doing a lot of gardening so that has maybe burned off some extra calories.

Good luck, all. We can do this!

Caggie09 · 30/04/2018 08:46

Wow, Lurking, you've really whizzed through! Well done. Has your body changed alot? The main place i notice its gone is my hips!

Last week: 10st 5
This week: 10st 3

Im really going to push for 10st in the next two weeks. My weight keeps going up and down which is my own fault.Blush Ive stocked up on fruit and veggies, so no excuse to eat rubbish.

Hope everyone has a fab dayGrin!

lurkingfromhome · 30/04/2018 09:08

Well done caggie - that's a great result! I'm going on holiday on 27 May so 10 stone by then is my goal.

My body has definitely changed a lot and everyone is telling me not to lose any more weight, but I still have that stubborn roll of fat round my middle that just won't budge! It's a smaller roll of fat than it once was but it's still there and my waist is still 32 inches which isn't great (although it was 34 inches when I started, I think). I think that if I kept dieting enough to lose it, though, I'd look emaciated everywhere else. If only you could spot-reduce flab...

IsabelleSE19 · 30/04/2018 10:55

Well done caggie and lurking - amazing results! Here's me:

Starting weight: 12st 9lb
Last week: 11st 13.75 lb
This week: 11st 12.25 lb

Really chuffed. I was much stricter about snacking last week and did four Jessica Smith workouts over the week, so that may have helped.

This morning I have just done my first day of 30-Day Shred! Can feel my legs aching… It was okay - hard but good, apart from the press-ups bit, which I am utterly hopeless at! If I can do a proper press-up by the end of the 30 days that will be some achievement on mine and Jillian Michaels' part!

lurking maybe you should crack open the DVD and hope that the abs portion of it helps shift your stubborn roll? Or I'm sure Jessica Smith has plenty of ab-specific workouts on YouTube.

This weather is not helping my snacking willpower – I just want to comfort eat! Cake

lurkingfromhome · 30/04/2018 11:06

Fab result isabelle. Sounds like being a bit stricter has really paid off.

I'm scared to open The Shred. Grin But yes you're right, I'm going to have a look at Jessica Smith and see what she can do for me. Even if I just do 10 or 15 mins a day surely that will help ...

Caggie09 · 02/05/2018 19:27

I think i need to look at doing some home work outs! My only exercise is walking at the momentBlush Ive had a good past few days, but im craving something sweet this evening. I did scoff a tiny amount of chocolate while cooking too. Aslong as im not binging, im not worried!

IsabelleSE19 · 02/05/2018 20:19

Hi Caggie! I can report that I am on day 3 of the Shred and aching! Hopefully it's doing some good. However, I had a sneaky midweek weigh-in and all the exercise doesn't seem to be doing anything on the scales yet Angry. But it is making me eat less as I want to be good and not ruin all the hard work.

lurkingfromhome · 03/05/2018 07:19

I've put on 3 pounds OVERNIGHT. How???? How is this possible??? Angry
