I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

Well done, Obi, and sorry to hear you've been ill. Even if you just keep the 2.5lbs off that's amazing weight loss for a week.

Here we go for me:

15/01 11st 11lb start weight
22/01 11st 9lb
29/01 11st 7lb
05/02 11st 5.8lb

Target weight 10st 3 or 4. Aiming to be at 11 st 2 by the end of Feb.

NancyJoan · 05/02/2018 07:38

11st 2 this morning. Slowly slowly off it comes.

lurkingfromhome · 05/02/2018 07:39

Cross-post there - Heffalumps that is fantastic. Brilliant that you've cracked the 11-stone-something down to 10-stone-something barrier this week (that always feels like a major breakthrough).

BarrysnotLyons · 05/02/2018 07:42

Well done all.

No loss here this week with period and illness but have kept on track with diet and exercise so happy with that.

DailyMailareDicks · 05/02/2018 07:58

Well done ladies! Here are my stats:
1/1 94.2kg
5/2 92.1kg

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 05/02/2018 09:27

Well done to all the losers and good luck next week, Barrys I bet you lose next week, illness & periods mess with losses, well done sticking with it.

Getting into the next stone bracket is amazing even if it is only a lb below. Felt very pleased this morning, hoping to keep the euphoria going for the next 14lbs to get to the 9's....

IsabelleSE19 · 05/02/2018 10:16

Hi everybody - well done to all the losers, and hope the not-losers get some good numbers next week!

Starting weight: 12st 9lb
Last week: 12st 4lb
Today: 12st 2.75 lb

So a little over a pound loss this week. I didn't feel like I'd lost anything, so unlike last week I am very chuffed with a small loss. I've lost around half a stone since I started out, so that's a little milestone, and I'm hoping to get below 12st in the next couple of weeks. Although my jeans still feel very tight today!

Fasting today so trying to keep busy - luckily there are many many small and boring jobs to do round the house!

ObiJuanKenobi · 05/02/2018 10:17

Well done all. Weighed again this morning after calling into work sick Envy

Another 1lb down from yesterday so a total of 10lbs down but I would much rather slower loss and not have this horrible sickness bug! Keep healthy everyone you're all doing great Thanks

lurkingfromhome · 05/02/2018 10:54

Well done, everyone. Barrys bound to be just a blip so well done on focusing on the healthy living (which is the whole point of it all, really).

Isabelle, great that you've lost half a stone - that's an important milestone and one which I am really hoping I can achieve for next week's weigh-in.

IsabelleSE19 · 05/02/2018 12:39

Thanks lurking - fingers crossed for you for next week!

Don't know how much blood weighs, but I've lost loads of that this morning by cutting my thumb on a new knife Hmm

mintyneb · 05/02/2018 15:20

Some great results for everyone! For me

Starting weight: 11st 3
Last week: 10st 8
This week: 10st 5

I've had an horrendous end to the week stress- wise to the point of not being able to sleep or eat much hence the 3lb weight loss. Stress continues this week but I'm hoping I can eat a bit more and slow things down a bit. Whilst I want to see the lbs go, I'd like it be a bit more controlled!

lurkingfromhome · 06/02/2018 07:46

Oh minty that sounds rough. I'm sorry you're having a bad time of it and hope things sort themselves out soon.

Last night's dinner was the veg & bean soup from the Hairy Dieters 3rd book. It was absolutely delicious and only 290 calories a portion so we had it with multigrain bread (and butter!) that still can't have come in at more than 500 cals. I love that book and I'm going to make the mince plate pie (but will use chicken instead) and the chilli later this week. Will report back.

mintyneb · 06/02/2018 18:33

Thanks lurking , for the last few years my life seems to move from one black spot to another. No sooner have I drawn breath from one episode than I'm smacked back down with another.

Most of the problems are health related, usually mine or my DDs, this time it's to do with her (she's 10) so it makes it so much harder to bear.

Still not feeling particularly hungry or getting much sleep. I'm on a work course tomorrow, fingers crossed I don't fall asleep halfway through!

Twistofanxiety · 07/02/2018 01:36

Sorry for late update but having put on two lbs Confused I lost that last week and this week am 1lb under my starting weight.Smile

RubySlippers77 · 08/02/2018 11:27

After a false start due to the horrible flu I lost 2lb this week Grin

Means I have lost a grand (not very impressive) total of 5.5lb so far this year, but better than putting weight on I guess..... also means I am officially 'overweight' rather than 'obese' according to the NHS BMI calculator!

ObiJuanKenobi · 08/02/2018 11:30

Well done @RubySlippers77 slow and steady wins the race!!

DP got me a lovely new dress for Christmas and was so upset when it didn't fit but I've just tried it on and it fits me perfectly now. I couldn't believe it and I'm going to my second wedding menu tasting tonight so I can wear it tonight Grin thank you all so much I wouldn't have done it without this group motivating me!

lurkingfromhome · 08/02/2018 12:51

Well done, all. Obi that's amazing - it's a really good incentive to have a lovely piece of clothing to slim into. Ruby, 5.5 lbs so far is great. I'm aiming for 4 lbs a month and anything more than that will be a bonus.

I made the Hairy Dieters chilli last night and it was fantastic. I think less than 300 cals per portion so we had it with a tiny bit of brown rice, half an avocado between us and salad. So good. I'm loving their recipes so much I've just bought another of their books. Doing a chicken pie thing tonight from the same book with pastry made from mostly potato. We've really not been eating carbs very much at all so I'm thinking just a tiny bit of this pastry will do.

Also I'm having a spoonful of apple cider vinegar twice a day to see if that has any effect on me at all.

RubySlippers77 · 08/02/2018 13:09

Brilliant news about the dress Obi! I've ordered some size 12 jeans from Ebay as an incentive to fit back in them - nothing expensive, just to show me what I used to be able to wear and that it's doable again...

Those recipes sound yummy lurking, I'm going to the library tomorrow and will see if they have any HB cookbooks to try.

Sorry to hear about your health issues minty - how are you feeling today?

BarrysnotLyons · 08/02/2018 16:54

Well done ladies. Great to see positive stories.
My clothes are feeling looser which is great. Helps to keep the motivation going.
Looking forward to my summer bikini body😂

lurkingfromhome · 09/02/2018 08:10

Last night I made chicken pie with the potato-based pastry from Hairy Dieters. It was lovely, BUT I did a calculation of how many calories were in the pastry and my goodness, you can really see how some things are barely more than a couple of mouthfuls but so calorie-laden. Still, it was worth it, the whole dinner came in at under 500 and I'll make it again to have with other things.

No idea what to have tonight as I'm all out of ideas and my meal planner only ran up to Thursday!

mintyneb · 09/02/2018 08:23

lurking if nothing else it sounds like you've been having fun with trying new meals this week!

Well done to everyone on getting to enjoy looser fitting clothes, always a good feeling.

I'm still struggling on although absolutely exhausted. I've started eating a bit more but it's ended up being mainly carb based so expect weight loss will level off this week but that's ok

Half term holiday next week so while I'm still working it's always a bit easier as you don't have to think of anything school related. Phew

DailyMailareDicks · 09/02/2018 13:27

I can't stick to weighing once a week! I keep peaking and getting upset. Confused

Really struggling this week with chocolate cravings. We have family coming over for the weekend and will absolutely have cake. So I'll take this one for the team!

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 09/02/2018 13:35

Can I join please! I'm 13st 3lbs and 5"4" been blaming it on baby weight but said baby is now 18 months Confused i want to lose 3st by august. I plan to walk 30 mins every day gym 2x pw and cut down on carbs and cake (oh how i'll miss cake!)x

BarrysnotLyons · 10/02/2018 09:28

Hi Allthegood. I'm still blaming baby weight 2 years on!

Went out for lunch yesterday. Was just going to have a salad. The two options were a roast duck salad with roast potatoes in duck fat and a Brie salad on sourdough. Not really salads lol. Less calories in McDonalds!

Ended with with falafel without the pita and a few bits of limp lettuce. Did not help two friends I am out with were size 6!
