I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

Well done to the losers!
This morning im having 3 bits of bacon on toast, lunch will be tuna on crackerbreads and tea will be fish with veggies! Already logged my food into MFP so i have a few extra calories for a treat if i need oneGrin
Have a great day all!

IsabelleSE19 · 29/01/2018 09:49

Weigh-in day!

Starting weight: 12st 9lb
Last week: 12st 5lb
Today: 12st 4lb

So it's a loss but very small. Keep telling myself it's still going in the right direction, although it seems like a poor return for two fast days. Didn't run last week though thanks to cold (ill cold, not temperature outside!) so will get back to it this week and hope that makes a little difference.

Obi I know a couple of people who've done SW - one got quite into it and lost a bit, but I don't think she goes any more. Not sure why, but she's not at target weight yet. The other one basically went for a laugh as it reminded her of Marjorie Dawes' Fat Fighters on Little Britain! By the sound of it the leader of the group was quite rude to her - I don't think it would have been up my street at all!

Well done to all those who've lost, and sympathy to all those that didn't - it happens, and hopefully you'll be set up for a good loss this week.

StinkPickle · 29/01/2018 10:56

No loss this week as expected. DDs birthday so we had cake mid week and then the party at the weekend was even more cake.

Was 12st13 and still 12st13

Well done all the losers!

lurkingfromhome · 29/01/2018 14:30

Isabelle, a pound off is great. That's all I'm aiming to lose every week and remember that super lovely picture of a pound of actual yellow fat that someone kindly posted upthread Grin.

StinkPickle, at least you had lovely cake this week. I'm sure you'll drop a pound or two next time.

My menu today is:

B: natural yoghurt, berries, tiny sprinkle of granola
L: random salad bits found in the fridge that needed used up, plus a bit of ham and half a slice of cheese
D will be home made pea and ham soup with one slice of multigrain
bread.

Going to the pub tonight to meet a couple of friends. Wondering if I can stick to sparkly water (which is fine at home but very dull when out). Otherwise I will have one gin and slimline (don't like diet drinks but there are few options left to me!). I don't really drink much but a proper G&T with real tonic would be quite lovely. No good when trying to wean myself off the sugar, though...

PrimalLass · 29/01/2018 16:06

Well done to everyone, losers or not. I'm now a massive 3lb down in total, which is where I was before I put it back on again 🙄

B: coffee x lots
L: avocado, cheese, ham and a mug of chicken stock
S: dark choc and pecans
D: Nigellas za'atar chicken and fatoush ( yum)

IsabelleSE19 · 29/01/2018 16:56

Thanks lurking - I hadn't seen that pic. It's minging but encouraging!

mintyneb · 29/01/2018 17:50

Starting weight 11lb 3
Last week 10st 9
This week 10st 8

I was 10st 7 on both Saturday and Sunday but relaxed a little too much over the weekend for it to stay that way! But like lurking I'm only really aiming for 1lb per week as I see it very much a long term change eating habits. I turned 50 last November and for all sorts of reasons wasn't ready to start the 'new me but I'm up for it now

PrimalLass · 29/01/2018 18:25

That's a brilliant weight loss. Congrats Smile

PrimalLass · 29/01/2018 18:29

I have friends who have done amazingly well on SW, but the food just doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather cut the carbs right down and be able to eat butter and cheese.

RubySlippers77 · 29/01/2018 22:55

My New Year resolution to lose weight has come to a crashing halt so far!! The flu and subsequent poorliness made me crave sugar big time - plus I had no energy to go further than the sofa Sad however, I'm starting again from Feb, hoping to use all your weight loss stories as inspiration!

Need to weigh myself again as a starting point, but want to lose at least a stone by my friend's wedding at the beginning of May.....

Isabelle my SW group was very similar, the leader was a good few stones overweight herself!! She never even found the time to go through the diet with me, I just worked it out for myself. Plus the DC were younger then so I could stick them in the jumperoos and go for it with an exercise DVD! Harder now though, Jillian Michaels never gets clonked on the head with a Thomas the Tank Engine when she tries to do sit ups, at least not in my copy of the 30 Day Shred Confused

lurkingfromhome · 30/01/2018 21:53

I have somehow put 0.6 pounds on overnight but that seems to be par for the course so presumably it will come back off again. Today’s menu was:

B: Greek yoghurt, berries, sprinkle of granola, coffee with milk x 2
L: Lentil soup, three small rye crackers, a pear.
D: Pork saltimbocca from M&S (so delicious and not v calorific) with green beans, kale, peas, carrots.

Hope everyone’s having a good week!

mintyneb · 31/01/2018 09:29

That's the trouble with daily weighing, it picks up every fluctuation and its so hard to stay positive when it looks like it's going up Sad

I'm no dietician but what you had yesterday looks good and as long as you weren't overindulging in portion size then it has to be doing some good.

I'm trying to focus on the reason why I want to lose weight (there is specific occasion in mind) so that if I start to waiver I can drag myself back on track.

Hope everyone else is doing well this week

lurkingfromhome · 31/01/2018 13:06

I know, the fluctuations are hideous. My DH is only weighing himself once a month and I have no idea how he has that kind of willpower when I can't stop jumping on the scale every 10 minutes. I need to shift the 0.6 pound by Monday's weigh-in, though, so that I can say that I've lost 4 pounds in January, which was the goal.

Having a specific occasion in mind is good. We have a special mini-break planned for our wedding anniversary in early summer by which time I should be at my goal weight so it's something to work towards.

BarrysnotLyons · 31/01/2018 13:49

I have many end goals for weight loss. Think the main long term one is loosing weight before my young kids start seeing it as an issue and being fit and healthy for them.
In the shorter term summer holidays and a 20year university reunion.

ObiJuanKenobi · 31/01/2018 16:13

I've really fallen off the wagon with eating the past two days, I've been really down and felt a bit hopeless Blush I need a kick up the (big fat) bum and to get focused again.

mintyneb · 31/01/2018 16:27

What can we do to give you a good kick? Wink

ObiJuanKenobi · 31/01/2018 16:31

I've just had a good hard look at my self naked in the mirror I think that's done the trick BlushGrin

mintyneb · 31/01/2018 16:34

That'll definitely do the trick! Not quite as good as standing in your underwear in a shop changing room (just where do they get those lights?!) but just as effective.

Good luck climbing back on bird the wagon, you CAN do it Smile

mintyneb · 31/01/2018 16:34

Bandwagon! Not bird....

soupforbrains · 31/01/2018 16:35

Hello everyone! Please may I join the fatty club?

I am 5'7 and weigh 14 stone. According to the NHS 2.5 stone will put me still just on the border between healthy and overweight but I know from experience that for my body shape and build 11st7 is about as light as I can hope to get.

I plan to re-start C2 5k again and I'm using My Fitness Pal again too. I've made significant lifstyle changes since I last made a proper effort to lose weight so I'm hoping this time it will stick. Especially if I have the support of a group of other lovelies in a similar boat. (as opposed to my much slimmer friends who all desperately need to lose 2lbs....)

I need to check that my scales still work as I've not weighed myself in ages. but I plan to weigh myself and take some body measurements too so I have a really clear start point and can monitor all changes.

ButterfliesnWaterfalls · 31/01/2018 16:37

Ooooh. Just saw this thread now.

Can I join?

I'm currently 10stone 8pounds. I need to lose at least another stone and a half.

I'm starting with intermittent fasting and a 6 hour eating window. With workouts 3x a week.

:-)

mintyneb · 31/01/2018 17:03

Welcome aboard Smile

Mondays are generally our official weigh in days but there are folks who in weigh during the week so you're not alone starting now.

Good luck!

caggie09 · 31/01/2018 17:47

Ive not been on track yesterday or today. But i was told ive lost my double chin😂Grin

wintermonster · 31/01/2018 20:31

My official weigh in day is Wednesday. I've lost 11lbs in 2 weeks from low carbing.

I'm now 12 stone 10 lbs.

I'm 5ft 4.
Want to get to 10.5 stone.
That's where I comfortably rest at my lightest (size 10/12). I have quite a heavy bone structure and pear shape, so much under that and I lose any left over boobs or bum

ObiJuanKenobi · 31/01/2018 20:37

@wintermonster that's fantastic loss! What would you suggest as a days meal plan?
