I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

caggie09 · 26/01/2018 16:53

Blankscreen · 26/01/2018 17:01

I just need to say I'm bloody starving nd in a foul mood.

Just trying to resist eating some toast covered in butter. Won't have dinner for about another 3 hours. Arghhhhhh

Blankscreen · 26/01/2018 17:03

Or a big triangle of toblerone that is calling me

blueskyinmarch · 26/01/2018 17:55

I am meeting friends for a curry tonight - eek! Plan to have poppadoms with pickle tray then Egyptian kebab with naan. I am not keen on rice anyway. Plus i will probably have a large glass of red wine or a beer. Hopefully that should be fine. Thankfully i weigh in on a Friday. I have a week to salvage things if it goes badly wrong.

caggie09 · 26/01/2018 18:12

Sounds yummy Bluesky, Enjoy!

BarrysnotLyons · 26/01/2018 19:06

Blankscreen starving and a bad mood today too. Had to suffer through a work course.

Was practically eating my hands but weight does seem to be shifting a bit on daily weigh in!

PrimalLass · 27/01/2018 13:22

Had a few bad days, but now 2lb down so better than nothing. Away next weekend so will be very motivated this week.

lurkingfromhome · 27/01/2018 16:40

I’m cooking Mexican food tonight so trying to work out how best to keep it diet friendly. Sunday’s are our treat dinners so tonight’s will have to be fairly calorie-controlled.

I have chicken breasts marinating in a dry rub. Will roast or grill those and stuff them in taco shells (only 40 cals each apparently). Home made salsa, sweetcorn, avocado, tiny sprinkle of grated cheese and probably no soured cream (sadly). The sweetcorn and avo will make it quite calorific but at least still healthy. To compensate for the extra calories, all I’ve had today is a bowl of soup and a slice of multigrain bread. And I did an hour of gardening. Here’s hoping.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!

mintyneb · 27/01/2018 17:18

Lurking that sounds yummy!

I've been naughty today having snacks but I'll get myself back on track tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a good weekend

ObiJuanKenobi · 28/01/2018 10:19

How's everyone getting on? Feeling quite positive for Monday's weigh in - I definitely feel a little lighter. I went out for a Friends birthday meal last night but planned ahead and just had a small tapas sized Thai curry and shared a rice (I was force fed a slice of chocolate birthday cake though Blush)
Weather is looking crap this weekend down here so less walking again.

Has anyone tried slimming world? My neighbours invited me along but I'm not sure.

BrioLover · 28/01/2018 13:19

Hi Obi! Fingers crossed for weigh in if you feel lighter! Week has been going ok ish, and have done a few good walks, so I'm hoping to have dropped a pound or two. Tonight we're having sausages and mash for dinner, but I bought the Heck sausages so they're 97% meat at least. Not vegan or veggie obvs, but all the veggie sausages I can find have soya in them Confused

poorpaws · 28/01/2018 20:13

I’ve tried Slimming World and hated it. Large classes and I actually gained weight. I do know other people who have done well on it so it might just be me. I did much better on Weight Watchers.

BarrysnotLyons · 28/01/2018 20:25

Hoping for a good weight loss in the morning. Went out for dinner last night and no wine, dessert or cappuccino.
Lost a lot of weight about 10 years ago with slimming world online. Went to a few classes but did not enjoy. Found it more helpful going to the gym.
I was stricter than their program though. Not a fan of low calorie versions of foods they promote. Prefer real food so calorie counting seems to be working.

StinkPickle · 28/01/2018 21:05

Good luck everyone for weigh in. It was my DDs birthday this week and i've had waaaaay too much cake. It's finally finished tho so at least i can't eat any more!

lurkingfromhome · 28/01/2018 21:24

Going pretty well here too this weekend. Today was treat meal day so we had spaghetti carbonara (the Nigella recipe, which is delicious). Madly calorific, I’m sure, and not very nutritious. However, I made a giant tomato and roasted pepper salad to go with it and I only had berries and yoghurt for breakfast, no lunch as was out shopping, then went to the movies and had no ice cream, so I think still within decent calorie range.

Re SW etc, I’m not a fan of low-fat, slimmers’ versions of things, which I think they tend to promote, don’t they? I think just eating real food is better in the long term for helping you just eat generally better.

Hope everyone has a good weigh-in tomorrow! I’m praying for something good to have happened after all this effort.

BarrysnotLyons · 29/01/2018 07:35

4.5 pounds lost this week so delighted!
Only started 2 weeks ago. A long way to go but feeling determined.

Height 5ft 4"
Starting weight 12st 3lb
Weight now 12st 10.5lb

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 29/01/2018 07:37

Half a pound off this week, hoping it will be more next week as its TOTM...which also explains my need to eat all the carbs!!
Ordered a new gym kit & trainers so no excuses! Also got Darcy Bussell's pilates dvd no idea how good it is for toning but worth a go.

NancyJoan · 29/01/2018 07:47

11.3 again. Ugh. Did have pasta and bread yesterday, after being so restrained all week. At least it’s not gone up, I suppose.

naughtycurly · 29/01/2018 07:53

2lbs down this week.

I guess it's coming off slowly. Well done to the losers this week.

lurkingfromhome · 29/01/2018 08:09

2lbs down for me too, plus that pesky 0.4lbs that went back on again. Am delighted!

Height: 5' 7"
Starting weight: 11 st 11.
Weight now: 11 st 7.
Target weight: 10 st 4.

Well done to all losers and no-gainers Smile.

TheQuestingVole · 29/01/2018 08:14

Lost a pound and a half - delighted with this as I had a bit of a wobble at the beginning of last week. Getting under 150 lbs again was the first mini target.

Starting weight: 11 st 13.5
Weight now: 11 st 9.5

TheQuestingVole · 29/01/2018 08:17

Hang on, I am an idiot who can't convert into stones. That's 10 st 9.5

ObiJuanKenobi · 29/01/2018 08:22

I've woken up with the most awful period cramps and bloating and apparently I've put on two lbs from last week but when I weighed on Friday I had lost an extra pound HmmSad
