I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

2 1/2 pounds down. I think it must be the exercise and calorie counting I did on weekdays as I had a wobble at the weekend on both.

Was: 10st 13.5
Now: 10st 11
Target: 9st

PrimalLass · 22/01/2018 08:36

Night out Sat and a hangover day yesterday, and I've put back on the 3lb I lost last week 🙄 I am mid cycle though so that might be a bit of it.

FFS.

Well done to the losers.

naughtycurly · 22/01/2018 08:38

Just 1 pound loss for me.

To be honest I have been really bad the last four days so any loss is a miracle.

I am disappointed in myself and will try harder, much harder, this week.

Thanks Lurking, I have started using that app after recommendation on this thread and I have just entered my weight. You're right, it does look much better with the line smoothed out.

Well done to everyone who has lost.

ObiJuanKenobi · 22/01/2018 09:18

I'm going to start restricting my diet to 500 calories every Monday and Tuesday to kick start the week and feel better after any weekend naughtiness and aim for 1,200 the rest of the week

StinkPickle · 22/01/2018 10:12

1lb loss this week. Down from 13st to 12.13 (I’m 5’9)

Very pleased as I didn’t have the best week (2 takeaways and out to dinner one night as well!!) but skipped breakfast every day and didn’t snack just drank lots of tea and water.

Also I run 25 km a week which helps

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 22/01/2018 12:54

2.5lb off despite the KFC so now 11st 2.5lb! Going to start HIIT workouts again this week, I may need oxygen as its been a while since my last attempt at exercise...

IsabelleSE19 · 22/01/2018 16:25

Afternoon everyone. Happy weigh in day!

Starting weight: 12 st 9 lb
Week 1 weight: 12 st 5 lb
Target weight: 10 st 7lb

So a good loss of 4lb although my first weigh in was later in the day than today's, which can make a bizarrely massive difference.

MissMary0fSweden · 22/01/2018 17:09

Well done all you losers!

Comizz to anyone STS or putting on. KOKO and all that Flowers

My weigh in day is Weds. I did think about changing it to today but fucked if I'm going to weigh my breakfast, lunch and 2l water as well so sod it, maybe next week Grin

B: kale, spinach and mango smoothie and baked beans on toast.

L: Mixed bean soup and an apple.

D: Sausage casserole and root veg mash.

ObiJuanKenobi · 22/01/2018 17:17

I've managed to keep to 500 calories today but I don't know if I could do 2 days a week of it Blush dtwins found their leftover Christmas chocolate supply and I've been eyeing up a the 'snow balls' for about an hour!

Breakfast: nothing
Lunch: fry lite roasted sprouts, carrots and broccoli
Snack: tomato mug shot
Dinner: 1/2 a pot of fresh carrot and corriander soup

Well done everyone, let's keep going!!

OneMoreFrog · 22/01/2018 17:56

Hi all, I'm trying to do 1200kcal a day, for the last two weeks I've lost a pound a week, so two pounds in a fortnight, I'm loosely tracking and I think I'm going over, maybe 1400-1500 calories but I'm still hungry all the time and have headaches, I don't even want chocolate, I just want bread or pasta or rice!!! How do you do it on 1200Kcal? What do you eat to fill you up? Any advice welcomed please

BarrysnotLyons · 22/01/2018 19:55

5ft 4
Starting weight 13 3
Down to 13st 1.25

Hoped for more as I felt starved 😁

lurkingfromhome · 22/01/2018 22:00

OneMoreFrog, I just try not to even think about food during the day and try to get quite involved with whatever I'm doing so that I focus on something else. I also make sure I eat food where you get quite full for the calories. But who knows, really. If it was that easy I wouldn't be on this thread in the first place Smile.

Today's food:

B: berries, Greek yoghurt, sprinkle of granola, coffee with skimmed milk

L: couple of slices ham, one slice cheese, leftover home-made coleslaw, cup coffee with milk

D: home-made pea and ham soup, one large slice of home-made multigrain bread with butter. A nectarine. A cup of green tea.

Going out for lunch tomorrow so will need to do a bit of planning.

poorpaws · 22/01/2018 22:24

Lurking - could I ask for your coleslaw recipe please. Every time I make my own I don’t like it.

Twistofanxiety · 23/01/2018 00:17

Okay so I have put on 2lb Blush but today, for the first time in years, I have been looking up calories and sugar content and it has been a wake up call. I'm determined to do better next week.

lurkingfromhome · 23/01/2018 08:00

Hi poorpaws, of course, although it can be a bit random depending on what's in the fridge Smile.

I have a mandoline slicer and a julienne peeler so I use both of those to get the veg quite fine. I use any combo of white cabbage, red cabbage, carrot, spring onion, celery, radish, red or green pepper and apple (mostly cabbage, not much apple, other ingredients about equal).

Dressing: if not calorie-counting, half mayo and half soured cream. At the moment, half Greek yoghurt, half soured cream. Also add dijon mustard, squeeze of lemon, drizzle of oil, chopped parsley/chives, salt, black pepper and a tiny bit of milk to thin it down.

caggie09 · 23/01/2018 08:32

Morning all!

Just had porridge for breakfast and already thinking about lunchBlush, trying to have the same lunch everyday but im starting to get bored, think eggs will do today!
I do keep weighing myself everyday though, and it is dishearting to see it move up! I know its fluctuations, and i shouldnt be doing every day, but its such a habit!

Citrasun · 23/01/2018 08:47

Jumped on the scales today to see if the 5 lb gain from last week was down to a blip and I am 2 lbs lighter, so feeling a bit better. I'm still annoyed that I managed to gain 3 lbs last week though!
Will definitely be much stricter this week.

Carbs are my downfall so just had scrambled eggs (cooked with only a smidge of butter) and a small piece of whole grain toast for breakfast. Plan on having soup for lunch and some sort of stew with loads of veg for dinner.

Cath2907 · 23/01/2018 10:50

I am 12st 2lb - I should be 10st 4lb - 10st 7lb. I was 10st 5lb after a proper healthy kick at the start of 2015. I kept it all off until I did my back in Oct 2016. since then it has been a gradual slump into podgyness again. This finally came to a head in the last few weeks with me binge-eating really badly. I am now trying to reinstate the healthy habits of 3 years ago.
Drink more water
Eat soup for lunch WITHOUT 3 pieces of buttered toast
Lean protein, LOTs of veg and a healthy carb for dinner
High protein, high fat but low sugar low processed snack mid afternoon and about 9pm.

I don't do breakfast - yes I know I should but have never eaten breakfast voluntarily in my life and I am 40. It is unlikely to start now!

PrimalLass · 23/01/2018 10:52

Morning! Still suffering from mid-cycle bloating so hope that's gone by tomorrow.

B: Flaxseed microwave 'muffin' and strawberries
L: Probably poached eggs and bacon
D: Spag bol but without the spag. Prob cauli rice instead.

I'm a daily weigher. I think the once a week thing is so inaccurate because what if that one day is when you fluctuate up and you lose heart? Saw a good but sweary video about it yesterday - will post it in a mo.

Lil5000 · 23/01/2018 11:29

Am new to Mumsnet but wanted to join a weight loss forum. Am 5'4" and 13 stone. Have done 1 week of 30 day shred. Am worried as I turn 45 this week and all I read is how hard it is to lose weight over 40. Anyone else out there over 40?

PrimalLass · 23/01/2018 11:32

I'm 43. I'm hypothyroid so have always found it difficult to lose weight.
