I need your help, I have been an eating machine since the beginning of December. I am getting fatter and fatter by the day and am so miserable.

Today I put my brave head on and got on the scales. I weigh 11 stone 4.5lbs. I am not very tall so I am barrelesque and wobbly.

Things really have to change, honestly none of my clothes fit and I only have three dresses that I can currently fit into. My jeans do not fit and are so tight I can barely do them up let alone breathe.

Please join me in sorting my fat act out.

I just ate ds1s last slice of pizza and now I'm not sure who hates me more him or me Blush

ExConstance · 19/01/2018 15:25

I was doing very well with weight loss, got down from 13.1 to 10.3 June to December last year. I'm back up to 10.10 and am hungry and eating all the time again since mid - December. I'm now maintaining at 10.10 by sticking to my diet for a day or two, but then I lose the plot again. I want to be 9 stone for the summer !

IsabelleSE19 · 19/01/2018 16:45

Well done blue!

Yesterday's fasting was weirdly easy - sometimes it is and sometimes it's a total slog from start to finish. Whether I get away with the hot cross bun or not will be shown in the weigh-in on Mon! Also ate some crisps today (my nemesis) although didn't enjoy them as much as usual. The taste of guilt maybe!

mintyneb · 19/01/2018 17:08

Sorry to hear folks have had a tough couple of days. I'm going to be consciously stepping off the wagon tonight by having a Chinese takeaway. Totally in my control and I'm not going to beat myself up over it Smile. I know ive eaten well today up to now, so its my treat. My real problem will come on Sunday when we take the in-laws out for a birthday lunch. The carvery where we're going is awesome and it's hard not to overfill the plate!

Well done blue! Let's hope there will be a few more of us celebrating on Monday

wintermonster · 19/01/2018 17:12

5ft 4 and 13stone

7 months since giving birth

I've got one pair of size 16 jeans that fit and I refuse to buy any more big clothes

I am most comfortable at a size 12 which weight wise for me works or at about 10.5 stone so I need to loose 2.5

I am getting married this year so there's no option of failing this time

MissMary0fSweden · 19/01/2018 18:37

Evening all

So today looked like:

B: Oatibix and oat milk
L: Roasted Cauliflower, apples slices with peanut butter (the PB2 stuff)
D: Rump steak with broccoli and air fryer chips. A bowl of the new Halo Top ice cream for pudding.

I'll probably ease up a little for the weekend (there WILL be a pork pie and Yorkshire pudding in there somewhere)

TalkinPeace · 19/01/2018 19:23

The combination of cold weather, broken heating and a stinking hold has nadgered my willpower

but I still did some mini fasts this week as I hate feeling bloated

PrimalLass · 19/01/2018 20:31

1.5kg is great blue. Well done.

B: 2 x coffee with whole milk
L: three-egg and ham omelette
D: lamb kebab takeaway, no bread, about 10 chips
... then a Snickers Angry

GoodMorningSunshine · 19/01/2018 20:48

I had a fairly good week until today. So the plan is to pick it back up tomorrow and not ruin it

Sugar is definitely a drug to me. One treat leads to another and another!

lurkingfromhome · 19/01/2018 22:10

Good day today.

B: No breakfast as was going out for restaurant lunch and wanted pud, so just coffee

L: fish in butter sauce, salsify, charred sprouts, poached pear and ginger dessert, one glass prosecco

D: home made veg soup

So I think B and D probably made up for L. Not sure what to make for dinner tomorrow so will ponder that before bed.

poorpaws · 19/01/2018 22:31

So far so good 😊

TheQuestingVole · 20/01/2018 13:07

Can thoroughly recommend the Hairy Bikers books - the last time I had a concerted effort to lose weight I used lots of their recipes and they were great. Lots of really creative ideas about lower calorie substitutes that still taste really good.

happy2bhomely · 20/01/2018 13:16

Yesterday I had 2 boiled eggs with spinach on ryvita for brunch and then I caved and had a quarter pounder meal from Mcdonalds last night. I enjoyed every bit of it!

I weighed myself this morning and I'm another 2 lbs down.

So that makes it 13lbs lost since New Year!

I've ordered 2 of the Hairy Biker books on kindle. They look good.

ObiJuanKenobi · 20/01/2018 14:28

Ok so I skipped breakfast today and took my boys out early to the oceanarium which was fab! My phone step monitor says I did a good two miles of walking round running after my 22 mo dtwins at the oceanarium plus I parked at the top of a really steep hill so the walk back with the double buggy had me sweating Grin

On the down side I shared a portion of chips for lunch with my sister but hey ho that's all I've had all day so not the worst day so far.

Any tips for keeping active in this awful weather (very wet and windy down here in Bournemouth)?

TalkinPeace · 20/01/2018 17:06

Remember NO SNACKING
It really, really makes a difference
as its easy to waste 1/3 of your calorie needs on nothing
rather than enjoy it at mealtimes

ObiJuan
I went out earlier - just as far as the end of the garden. I think Hampshire and Dorset want us to stay indoors today !!

How about tidying out a cupboard - as that will keep you on your feet for an hour or two Smile
blitz tidying is my go-to displacement for bad weather days

So after having a pretty good day and lots of walking - DP has come home with two bags of walkers sensations (chicken for him and sweet chilli for me) they're my favvvvv and I'm sure you peckish after a little vegetable red Thai curry for dinner Sad help meeee I'm so tempted Sad

He meant well but he's such an arse for doing this to me.

TalkinPeace · 20/01/2018 20:58

Obi
Tell him.
Tell him that you love him
but that he has to get the message for both of your long term health if nothing else.
If you have just had a yummy supper YOU DO NOT NEED TO EAT CRISPS
Save them for another day

lurkingfromhome · 20/01/2018 22:02

Today went well and I weighed myself this morning and have dropped half a pound (total lost so far 1.5 pounds but got to start somewhere...):

B: big bowl berries and dollop of Greek yoghurt, sprinkle of granola, mug of coffee made with skimmed milk
L: coffee and one oat biscuit
D: pork saltimbocca, broccoli, kale, carrot & swede mash, an apple, cup of green tea

Lamby80 · 20/01/2018 22:09

Please can I join? I have lost count of how many of these in have joined!
I am 5ft 6inch and weigh in at 16 stone 8lb. Horrific!
I would like to go down the route of just smaller portions and just being mindful of what I eat as I want to change my eating habits rather than do something drastic but think i may need to do something drastic at this rate!

lurkingfromhome · 20/01/2018 22:09

*TalkinPeace, yes you are so right about the snacking. I used to eat three good meals but made a list last week of what I would use to eat every day over and above breakfast, lunch and dinner:

A cereal bar mid morning, a slice of home-made cake at lunchtime, a few crackers and cheese/pâté at 5ish, pudding after dinner

= possibly up to 1000 calories Shock

No wonder I now have 20 pounds to lose. FFS.

ObiJuanKenobi · 20/01/2018 22:14

Thank you @TalkinPeace I've had a chat with him about bringing me home treats and I understand it's with love but I would love it more to be healthy and happy. He gets it so he says!

I measured out the recommended portion size of sensations which is 30g and indulged just a little - which tipped my calories over my goal of 1,000 so I'm ending the day on 1,061.

Weigh in on Monday - feeling terrified excited to face the truth.

TalkinPeace · 20/01/2018 22:49

obijuan
Well done for chatting to him.
Once he gets on the program with you then you will both succeed
and even if he does not have weight to lose, quitting snacking will be good for his long term health

StinkPickle · 21/01/2018 08:21

No breakfast yesterday and just a small lunch as I went out for dinner. 3 courses and a glass of wine.

Not weighing myself this morning Grin but I’m hopeful with a good day today that Monday’s weigh in tomorrow will be good still

ObiJuanKenobi · 21/01/2018 15:32

Went out for a Friends birth brunch and I forwent the usual veggie fry up for 'toasted rye with scrambled egg, mushroom and spinach' it sounded healthy but adding all the bits on MFP it seems a lot of calories so maybe I've done it wrong or it's not actually healthy Blush
