Planned to do so well and ended up polishing off leftovers Angry

fadingblonde1 · 05/01/2018 19:25

Doing ok so far but I'll be having a glass of wine tonight and tomorrow, I hope it's not enough to completely undo my efforts.

HappyGowerGirl · 05/01/2018 20:40

Cotton I also went to a cafe for lunch and had a burger (and a few chips😳), oops! Definitely not a great choice though that was my only meal today so hopefully the damage isn't too terrible.

Off to bed now with a large glass of water, bracing myself for tomorrow's weigh in - The first one in nearly a week...

Kikisdeliveries · 05/01/2018 21:08

Today I've had:
Breakfast: coffee
Lunch: ham and lentil stew, 2 small apples
Dinner: home cooked (huge!) burger in bun with salad and pickles, salted steamed edamame.

The burger is big in calories so had a chat with the kids about how much fuller we were after big veggie stirfry yesterday which is half the calories. I thought it was interesting to reflect on anyway!

Plus drinks etc came to 1100 calories for the day

I still felt hungry though and realised I still had 300 calories left of my allowance left so ate 2 big cookies. Guilt free.Smile

Just finished a daily yoga session which DH joined me for.

So although it was not an abstemious day it was also not over the top and do not feel at all deprived and still finished up under my 1400 target.

Kikisdeliveries · 05/01/2018 21:09

My long winded point there is that logging it all helps, whatever food choices I make.

Kikisdeliveries · 05/01/2018 21:12

Also I enjoy scanning the barcodes.

BeyondWW · 05/01/2018 21:49

Prosecco, they're just weights on velcro, that you wear while you work out to increase the resistance. Good for me in general as my hands and wrists are too bad to hold weights, but I can cope with them on my wrists :)

Another good day today, including lots of little bits of crappy food but still in my calorie allowance so I'm calling it a win Grin

ProseccoMamam · 05/01/2018 22:39

Okay so yesterday I went OTT on the calories (my app shouted at me a bitSad) - but today I have managed to have 258 spare!! I went over by 393 yesterday so not massive a binge and I probably burned it all off cleaning and doing normal day to day things anyway. I'm finding it hard to remember to log my calories has anyone got any tips for that? An alarm would be useless as I almost never eat at the same time each day.

I'm off to eBay to buy some ankle weights for my Pilates (which I am yet so start doingBlush)

cottonwool125 · 05/01/2018 22:41

HappyGowerGirl treats keep us sane! Imagine how miserable life would be without chips Grin

comeagainforbigfudge · 06/01/2018 08:51

Okay so I I've realised I have yet to record a single weight on here.
Well, on 1st 1 was 13st 3lbs
Today I am 13st.

3lbs off. I'm attributing that to there being less food kicking about work and am effort to drink more water. It's a work in progress. Got several plans today but will find time to meal plan for the week ahead.

I'd quite like to eat seasonal but everything is available all year that I no longer know what i should be eating. Anyway that's a gripe for another day. Will add that to my list of things to look into 😩

TheDonald · 06/01/2018 09:06

Prosecco I just sit and do the whole day after tea. I am quite boring and I have the same breakfast and one of three lunches every day anyway.

Unless I'm having a bad day where I'm picking and snacking. Then I make myself do it earlier to try to limit the damage.

I'm not sure I am very accurate sometimes but I just try to get it as close as possible. I don't want to get into weighing everything because I think I would get obsessed!

TheDonald · 06/01/2018 09:32

Me again. I just did my Saturday weigh in. Was hoping for 10 10 for the first time. I'd been doing some sneaky midweek weigh ins and got it on Thursday but not yesterday.

This morning I got ... (drumroll) ... 10 stone 9 lb 8oz!!!!

Amazing! I'm only aiming for 10 7 by the end of the month.

Happy weekend everyone Grin

cottonwool125 · 06/01/2018 09:36

TheDonald well done! Grin

Kikisdeliveries · 06/01/2018 09:38

Prosecco I've been logging before I eat it or while I'm meal planning.

In doing so, I have worked out that the homemade pizzas I'm planning for later come---- in at a whopping 900 calories each Shock.

Now I know that, I can make sure that I don't eat much for the rest of the day. Especially as I just had s 300 calorie breakfast.

Kikisdeliveries · 06/01/2018 09:38

Great stuff Donald!

HairsprayBabe · 06/01/2018 09:49

10.3
I have a mixology class (xmas gift) and lunch out today though....

HappyGowerGirl · 06/01/2018 09:58

Thanks for the well wishes btw guys, my dc and I are home again now thankfully.

Weighed in at 59.2kg (9.4) this morning, it must have been all the stress & meal skipping that has put me back at my pre-Christmas weight... Obvs no running happened with dc in hospital so am hoping to go out once this weekend.

Kikisdeliveries · 06/01/2018 10:03

Happy you've had a tough week Thanks glad all is ok now.

There's some random crossing out in my earlier post Hmm, not sure where that came from. I will make sure I really appreciate every high calorie mouthful while I eat it! They are delicious.

Not2bObvious · 06/01/2018 10:05

Looking at all the updates from people it send the Christmas weight is buggering off nice and quickly. I think if previous years where I’d put on 7-10 over Christmas and try to starve it off only ending up binging and cementing a good chunk of that weight. I think the daily weighing & consciousness is really helping see it off.
I’m the same as yesterday which is a rare occurrence for a Saturday, I ate at maintenance yesterday so back on it today. Maybe a nice long jog to get the steps done. I second the advice to pre fill your mfp, sets a focus too even if you don’t stick to it 100%

TheDonald · 06/01/2018 10:21

Thanks all. Glad it's all over Gower. Flowers Every time I see your name it reminds me to book our campsite for the summer!

I haven't tried prefilling mfp. I only did it once when we were having McDonald's for tea! I might give it a go.

I'm happy that I'm back on the healthy eating wagon this week but my new years resolution of hitting 10k steps a day has been a disaster. Once I'm at work I just can't even get close unless it's a running day. Two days this week I only did 4k. Then I'm too far away to try to get there by marching round the house.

Does anyone else struggle this much? Is there a thread like this one for fitbit targets? I think someone mentioned it on a previous thread but I couldn't find it.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 06/01/2018 10:26

Hello everyone! I've had a very undisciplined few weeks and have only just managed to summon up the courage to weigh myself. I've only gained 2.6lbs over christmas and the new year, but I was already up 4lbs since late November so in total I'm almost 7lbs up ShockConfused That is obviously what happens if you stray from the light of the slenderistas Grin

Anyway I am going to get back on track now. First things first I need to go back and read the thread to see what I've missed!

BitOutOfPractice · 06/01/2018 11:10

That’ll teach you spurious Grin

I was doing great yesterday...till we opened the wine...

prosecco I do quite a lot of pre filling in mfp. For instance I know what I’m having for dinner so I’ve already filled that in.

donald if I’m at work and not a running day I also struggle with steps. I have to go out and walk. Can you do that on your lunch break?

twinkledag · 06/01/2018 11:43

@TheDonald - what's the 3 lunches that you have? I'm always looking for lunch inspiration!

BeyondWW · 06/01/2018 13:05

Down another Linda since Thursday :) :)
Xmas peak shifting nicely. Looks like a little Kilimanjaro on my mfp weighs... Grin

BeyondWW · 06/01/2018 13:07

I bought a metric shit tonne of fresh veg yesterday. This time I will use it before it all goes off!
Planning to make red lentil casserole, paneer coconut curry and some sort of veg soup with whatever is left.
