I Love a bit of batch cooking, although I only manage a weeks worth. Sparkly HB’s meatloaf freezes great, I buy 500gr of lean beef mince, 500 of lean pork mince and then make 2 of them. Works out around 140 cals per 2 slices (roughly 10-12 slices per loaf), low fat, high protein. Just cooked up
a bolognese there, used up a few bits & pieces. I’m a simple soul these days, a cleanish house, a few dinners made ahead of time and a smug bug😉
I am a bit wrecked after my class this morning, pulled a muscle and it’s annoying me but at least that’s gym done til Wednesday

HairsprayBabe · 22/01/2018 13:59

We are having Quorn "chicken" fillets with thai green curry paste and steamed veggies tonight.

Had two boiled eggs and some spinach for lunch

Am apparently doing the white and green diet today Grin

Kikisdeliveries · 22/01/2018 17:30

No weigh in today. Woke up far too early at 5.15, gave up on sleep by 6.30 so got up and did yoga instead. Feel tired and crap but have only eaten a (large) bowl of veg and miso soup so far today. The joys of being far too busy at work.

I have left over chicken legs and dhal for dinner, though I will likely snaffle some oven chips that I'm cooking as part of the kids' food.

SparklyLights · 22/01/2018 20:10

The meatloaf sounds great, going to try that! Managed to make a spag Bol and also a pasta dish which freezes, so that’s a few meals. Also like the sound of quornbwuth green curry - which paste do you use, Hairspray?

lastqueenofscotland · 23/01/2018 07:06

Hairspray you stunner
On a skiing holiday trying to not eat like an idiot...

HairsprayBabe · 23/01/2018 07:13

Grrr mn ate my post I make my own www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/greencurrypaste_67789 and freeze in ice cube trays. I swap the olive oil for coconut milk or failing that water.

10.1 or 10 dead scales couldn't decide but that takes me to Fridays weight, just have to not go mad tomorrow 😐

TVHubbyClaire · 23/01/2018 11:15

Annoying weigh in this morning. back at 12st 8, didnt even feel I had been doing that badly Sad

Also started squash last night and tweaked a muscle in my leg so can't do badminton today. I had already played 6 games before i hurt myself but I think I need to stretch more before starting.

Hoping to be fine for cardio tennis on Thursday but today feels like a setback on a couple of levels Sad

How was Nandos BOOP ?

Not2bObvious · 23/01/2018 12:03

Down to 11.6 this morning, same as last Tuesday. Really hope to see 11.4 by Friday, gosh it’s a grind but I know it adds up over the weeks, have to not lose focus. Did a 30 minute jog this morning so that’s something. Will get a bit of walking in as well.

NewYearNiki · 23/01/2018 12:22

I've stopped weighing. I also saw on one of my gym trainers Facebook before abd after photos of a woman who had really slimmed down and gained a lot of muscle and she looked amazing and lean and much smaller.

Among the comments on her progress were that this was achieved eating 2000 calories a day and weight training.

I think I'll look into this as I'm fed up of logging every sodding calorie and restricting them.

If I can look like that on a weight training and 2000 calorie diet that would be great.

lastqueenofscotland · 23/01/2018 14:24

Niki I've a mate who does some serious weight training and eats 2200-2400 calls a day and looks INCREDIBLE.

Softpebbles · 23/01/2018 17:13

Surely that's because muscle uses more calories than fat. So loosing fat and building muscle is the way. Strong and lean 👍🏻

Not2bObvious · 24/01/2018 06:00

STILL 11.6 today, arg, irritating. Just waiting for my class to start, not in the humour but I’ll perk up when we get started. This is where it gets tough, when all the efforts going in and the numbers aren’t moving.

HairsprayBabe · 24/01/2018 09:28

10.1 had a v late dinner as dp didn't get in until about half 7 as he was getting his eyes tested so not concerned.

HappyGowerGirl · 24/01/2018 09:29

Hello all,

I've been giving it one final push so I can hopefully clock in below 60kg (9.6ish) at the end of January. Had been hovering at 9.7 for a week or so but after a few golden days I weighed in at 58.8kg (9.3ish) this morning. Hoping to keep it up (or rather down) though it's going be tricky as I have a few dinners out & social commitments in the diary this week. Good luck all!

ARichVernacular · 24/01/2018 11:20

Hello all :)

I just can't seem to get my head in the game atm...am getting fitter, but still eating too much. Weighed in at 11lb this morning and didn't even care?

Maybe it's just the January blues Hmm I need a motivation transplant from one of you lovely lot.

ARichVernacular · 24/01/2018 11:20

Should be 11st obviously Grin I would be concerned if I'd lost that much!

QuimReaper · 24/01/2018 13:12

Eeeeeello ello ello! Just caught up on everyone, it all sounds very positive! LOVE that dress Hair, you're much braver than I am Grin

I've been trying to eat more veg, did very well yesterday - a green smoothie for lunch, and Cauli & Brocolli cheese, sautéd red cabbage and spinach for dinner.

The Dreaded Builders are back, doing the living room which is the last bit of the house - once that's done hopefully we can put it behind us and actually move our belongings back into the house - I am so, so fed up of all of having to "combine" rooms and having our stuff all over the sodding place!

I don't really know what's going on with my weight at the moment - only had 3 golden days last week with a big boozy lunch in the middle, so weigh-in wasn't really practical, but am being Golden all this week so keeping fingers crossed for a good result on Friday. I was comparatively pleased with my first weigh-in of the year, was below my "upper goal weight" by a fraction, so hoping to have crept down by another Linda or so on that. I think my dreams of being back at goal by February might not work out, but I'll hope to be back in the right KH bracket.

QuimReaper · 24/01/2018 13:14

Well done Happy, what a result!

Rich if you've been exercising loads do you maybe not care about the scale because you're pretty pleased with how you look / feel? Because that's surely the main goal rather than the number!

lastqueenofscotland · 24/01/2018 16:25

Managed as much of a golden day skiing as you can have skiing so that's a win

BeyondWitchbitchterf · 24/01/2018 16:50

Had a few bad fitbit days, but all days have been within calories.
And for the hard work...

I'm down another 0.2 lb Hmm

I'm enjoying it though, not struggling at all :)

Not2bObvious · 24/01/2018 20:06

Really struggling today, felt so tired I just couldn’t stop eating😩 Anyway I’ve stopped now, and I need to get my arse in gear - this behaviour is so counterproductive. Going to bed early so I’m as far away from the fridge as possible

Kikisdeliveries · 24/01/2018 20:35

I'm struggling with my energy levels at the moment. I usually have a lot on physically and mentally so can excuse my tiredness with that, but I've reduced my activities etc down since the new year and I still feel exhausted most of the time. I've stopped restricting calories these past 10 days to see if that makes a difference, but naturally come in at a sensible amount anyway, ie I'm not stuffing my face. But still feel shattered and get dizzy quite easily. I'm feeling like it's more than just the prolonged winter and perhaps I should get it checked out at the GPs. I'm in my early 40s, suspect I'm perimeno but don't have periods due to Mirena so uncertain on this.

I don't want to bother the GP, I'm one of those annoying 'won't ask for help types'. I've been feeling that I should be taking supplements and am probably deficient in something, but haven't yet done anything about it. Anyone got a sensible suggestion to try before I throw myself at the NHS and ask for blood tests?

TheDonald · 24/01/2018 20:51

Kiki I had very similar symptoms last year at this time. Gp did a load of blood tests and it turned out I was deficient in vit d. She prescribed a very high dose for a few weeks then a maintenance dose. It's worth going to get checked. I felt tons better very quickly.

Kikisdeliveries · 24/01/2018 21:16

theDonald I know you are right, I will get my act together and make an appointment. How much vit d did she prescribe out of interest?

Not2bObvious · 24/01/2018 21:34

I had something similar kiki and blood tests showed I was borderline iron deficiency, might be worth trying an iron supplement? I don’t think I was dizzy though but can’t remember for sure, just a worn down. I took otc iron supplements for a bit & it passed, I’m the same age group as you. Might be worth a try but don’t let it go on too long before checking with a doc. No nhs where I am so my reticence to go is more to do with €€!
