It won't load up today's sleep, but here's yesterday's...

Afaik, the only thing the alta doesn't do that the old charge does, is count flights of stairs and let you tell it when you start exercising. (DH just wears his old charge when he goes to the gym and apart from that he's bought an Alta too)

I haven't tried wearing them on the same arm, but I have a strap that has a few extra leather straps on that I wear on one arm like a leather cuff type of thing, then I put my watch on the other Grin

Like this... (nicked a pic off amazon)

Checking in briefly, hope you're all having a nice weekend. Am so hungry all the time at the moment😬 Running going well though!

TheCatOfAthenry · 20/01/2018 20:42

Just back from a jog myself!

poorpaws · 20/01/2018 22:47

Oh goodness I’ve failed tonight even writing it down and it’s weigh-In tomorrow. There is absolutely no hope for me, I can’t seem to do more than five consecutive days, bugger!

I’ve cancelled a meal out tomorrow I’m so cross. I’m still doing Nando’s on Tuesday though and I bet I have 🍰 🐷

Not2bObvious · 21/01/2018 07:47

Sorry you’re feeling a bit out of the zone poor, I think we can all relate to that. 5 consecutive days sound pretty good to me, I don’t know if I ever consistently stayed on point for that long - I manage 1-2 days, stray a bit, veer back for another couple of days and then weekends are my challenge. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
Scales up to 11.7 from Fridays 11.5, there’s a real pattern to my scales gains. Lowest weight Thursday or Friday, then a gain Saturday/Sunday, small drop Monday/Tuesday, back to Fridays weight Wednesday. It’s absolutely horrible weather wise here, lashing rain so no chance of a family walk. I don’t mind going out in it but it’s a bit miserable. Need to get my steps done somehow though! Anyone doing anything nice for food today? I’m going to do a freezer bits/pieces clear out😉

Nice dress hairspray! I had a party yesterday, so food wasn't it's healthiest. Managed to keep it inside my calorie allowance by using my exercise calories (which I don't usually) so that was okay :)

Not2bObvious · 21/01/2018 10:17

Wow hair, you look banging! Cheesy chips are mandatory after drinks & dancing (nods vigorously as plans the same for next Saturday night😉)

Therealjudgejudy · 21/01/2018 10:27

Hairspray..looking on point!

Flogging rain here today. Rest day from the gym though. Clocked 640 cals yesterday and kept to my weekend allowance, well I was actually 70 cals under so I'm happy. Going shopping shortly for some new gym gear and I'm planning to go to Costa for a caramel latte. Don't think that will be too much damage. Would love to hear your meal plans for today for inspiration Grin

TheDonald · 21/01/2018 12:48

Morning all. Got 10 9.4 this morning! Only half a lb down but heading in the right direction.

Judy I'm having another batch cooking day today. I find it really helps to got loads of healthy meals in the freezer so on the days when I'm working late or rushing out for a run I can still eat something sensible but without having to think about it.

I'm making:

A big load of tomato sauce as a base for pasta / chilli / meatballs etc
Chicken and sweet potato curry
Carrot and ginger soup
Bean and pasta soup

I really need to be more adventurous with my soups. I only ever make those two. I haven't got any other ingredients in today though.

Today's meal plan is:

Porridge with frozen berries
Boiled egg with one slice of bread as soldiers! (Possibly another slice of bread with peanut butter if I am still hungry
One of the above meals.

twinkledag · 21/01/2018 13:06

You look fab in that dress @hairspray!

ponygirlcurtis · 21/01/2018 18:21

Wowser Hairspray, hot to trot! Hope you felt good in your lovely dress.

poorpaws you are so very hard on yourself. And you are already setting yourself up to self-sabotage on Tuesday - if you tell yourself you will mess up because that's what you always do, you will only prove yourself right. Be positive! Eg: You will not have cake on Tuesday because you are taking charge and making good choices for yourself. Keep repeating it.

Donald I have done some batch cooking this weekend too - moussaka and a creamy chicken dish. Your soups sound lovely, I am just finishing off a batch of broccoli and Stilton soup which was very nice.

IheartCaptainHolt · 21/01/2018 18:48

It's been a batch cooking weekend!

I've made Cajun chicken and bean soup, green lentil and lemon soup, chicken stew and a huge pan of bbq sauce for hunters chicken and pulled pork.

Got the ingredients for a beef keema too but the freezer is full so that will have to wait a few days.

TheDonald · 21/01/2018 19:48

Ooh new batch cooking ideas! I may be back to ask for recipes when I've made some space in the freezer.

I didn't make the tomato sauce but I did make a fish tagine which is lovely. I've now got 20 meals in the freezer!

ponygirlcurtis · 21/01/2018 19:56

How do you store yours in the freezer Donald? I have been using freezer bags but as well as wanting to cut down on waste I find they aren't actually watertight. Defrosted some chicken breasts earlier and there was raw juice everywhere. Confused

TheDonald · 21/01/2018 20:13

pony I use plastic tubs. A combination of Tupperware and old take away tubs. Then I just put them straight in the microwave when I want to reheat them.

Kikisdeliveries · 21/01/2018 22:34

I have had a very relaxed weekend. Back on all the wagons tomorrow...

Not2bObvious · 22/01/2018 05:34

Uck- Monday morning again, dragged myself from bed to go to the gym, was v close to skipping it but remembered the ‘never skip a Monday’ mantra and just got the F up (you can tell I’m sulking can’t you?)
Scales up to 11.7.4 from Fridays 11.5, usually I’d be a smidge down on Sunday’s weight which was 11.7 but I am a bit sluggish at the minute so it is what it is. Had a very low cal day with no excess and no wine so hoping that’ll balance everything out. Off to fill in Mfp before I trudge to the gym (slumps off like sulky teenager)

HairsprayBabe · 22/01/2018 07:20

Ah thhanks guys mainly felt naked and was taped into it for my life!
Going out again Weds and will be wearing it again, this was more of a trail run 😂

10.3 or 10.2 scales could not make their mind up not too bad considering most of that is hopefully alcohol water retention?

Fast day today, hope to get most of it off before Weds....

BeyondWW · 22/01/2018 09:22

I thought you were just showing us the dress, it didn't click that it was you in it! Blush wow hairspray, you look fantastic!!
See, this is where I could be now if i didn't keep falling off that bloody wagon. You are now officially my thinspiration Wink

That dress would be good for me - would stop me dropping food down my cleavage Grin So long as you hold the takeaway tray at the bottom of the V, everything dropped could just fall straight back in there...!

Stayed the same this morning. My digestive system is, ahem, adjusting to lower food intake, so I think I may be due a whoosh soon-ish

SparklyLights · 22/01/2018 10:34

Morning all! Hope you all had great weekends. Hairspray you look like a model! I can't believe you've got more to lose!

All the batch cooking talk is inspiring me. I should do more of that. Spent the weekend having a good old clear up, all the drawers, wardrobes sort out - kids as well - all the old felt tips, putting sets of toys back together, loads of laundry. Am off to the shops soon for ingredients to get going on some decent dinners! I love the Hairy Bikers books, and also that Lean in 15 book by that Joe somebody who does fitness. Some of those receipes can be frozen, I think I'll have a look through there!

10 dead today. It's been wavering up and down but I made a big effort to watch the snacks this weekend and also all the cleaning and sorting I think has helped. Just hope I can keep it off! This is my problem... two pounds off, a pound on, another pound on, a pound off.. I'm so inconsistent with the losses... as soon as I lose a few pounds I eat snacks. Argh! But this week I am going to aim for a couple more pounds. Really need to fit into some different clothes soon. Wearing the same stuff constantly as other stuff too tight!
