We have "wine night" once a week, so the B is good for that.
Partying requires liquor Grin

HairsprayBabe · 18/01/2018 11:00

I wish booze bottles had calories on them!
It would definitely put me off drinking so much!

BeyondWW · 18/01/2018 11:04

Definitely - especially things like Beer, cider and alcopops - I'd never drink them again Grin
Maybe we need a campaign...?

NewYearNiki · 18/01/2018 11:51

Campaign?

Who doesn't know alcohol is loaded with calories? Confused

BeyondWW · 18/01/2018 11:53

Of course Grin but some are worse than others

HairsprayBabe · 18/01/2018 11:53

I think it hits home more if they are on the bottle. I know wine is calorific, but I would like to know exactly!
then I can include it in my cals for the day more easily

Although I don't drink often, so probs wouldnt change my habits much....

QuimReaper · 18/01/2018 11:58

Where do you get the Black Tower stuff from? Just checked and it isn't on Ocado, the white seems to be available from Morrisons but I'd be interested to try the B Secco which doesn't seem to be sold anywhere!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 18/01/2018 12:14

Does it taste nice? I might try it... wine is definitely my downfall

Not2bObvious · 18/01/2018 12:15

Some wine from Tesco have cals, usually 72-79 cals per 100ml for wine at around 12-13%, 48% Gordon’s gin is 264 cals per 100ml but you can only get 38% here so I’m guessing a bit less, maybe 240 per 100ml which is 3 gins for me. Bulmers/Magners light 28 cals per 100ml... I think it’s pretty clear my tipples of choice! I budget 2 x 125ml of wine and 2 x gins with slimline tonic. That’s when I’m being good girl😉
I think anyone calorie conscious knows alcohol is calorific niki but not everyone - and anyway it feels like it’s a secret! They have cals on all other drinks/food, why not alcohol?

BeyondWW · 18/01/2018 13:00

It is nice, does taste like wine rather than the weird taste that alcohol free wine has. My favourite is the red one but my local Sainsbury's and asda have stopped selling that one, so now I have the white with soda. (Iirc Tesco sell it too but I go there less often so can't remember)

BeyondWW · 18/01/2018 13:01

I haven't tried the B secco, I haven't found that one anywhere either

Well done Beyond, that's amazing! And you too TV - I know the slow pace can be hard but you kept at it and that's brilliant. You should look back at where you were a year ago, if you hadn't persevered then you would still be there or even higher.

keepon what kind of pedometer do you have? My fitbit definitely records all the 'pottering round the house' steps. (Some days that's the only kind of steps I rack up!)

Kikisdeliveries · 18/01/2018 17:05

Beyond! Whoop!

I am doing a 90 minute kickboxing class this eve so expecting to burn off a bajillion calories and therefore a better weigh in tomorrow.

Scales have fully settled between 11.4-11.5 once again. Darn it.

Koko does your phone do step counts? iPhones from at least 6 onwards do if you remember to carry your phone on you.

I bought a cheap not-Fitbit recently which does a good job recording steps and other activities (better than my £70 Fitbit tbh). When I bought it on amazon in January there were loads for around £30.

HairsprayBabe · 18/01/2018 20:12

Look what is in my local tescos now 😍😍😍😍
Had three teaspoons then shoved it in the freezer for emergancies 😂

KOKO mine is the Fitbit One. I’ve had it for two years now and use it every single day. I usually try for 14,000 steps (dog walk) but this week ive increased to 16,000 to help with weight loss. The back is of my notebook has calorie count of foods I regularly eat. Day 4 of writing down and still going well. Being a bit of a pedant I write down absolutely everything including water which is probably ridiculous. I weigh every morning (probably not a good idea) and note it down and also note steps and distance walked. I’m not allowing chocolates, sweets or alcohol the first week . Final weighin Sunday so we’ll see... but if it’s not a good loss I might rethink all this writing, it’s quite tedious.

Boop I’m going to Nando’s on Tuesday but I like their chips which isn’t such a good idea.

poorpaws · 18/01/2018 23:12

Also KOKO I try not to use any exercise calories from walking (3 hr walks) as I want extra weight loss. I don’t go to a gym.

BitOutOfPractice · 19/01/2018 00:04

Paws I had sweet potato wedges. Lush

Thanks for you kind words about my hip everyone. I'm really sorry but I have such a bad habit of posting on this thread and running away BlushBlushBlush I don't know why as you are all lovely!

Yes I'm doing physio. I have a wonderful physiotherapist who I've been with for years due to back and ankle problems. I have MRI and arthrogram on Monday. Am actually hoping they find something because I haven't been able to sit for more than 15 mins for 2.5 years! Affects walking too. Exercise is limited but I have stuff from my physio and do hydrotherapy as well. Hopefully not a hip replacement stage yet, may an arthroscopy to clean out the joint.

Am still a kilo down from Christmas but keep falling off the wagon... Chocolate mostly. I've realised that I eat good meals, it's what's in between that's poor.

I have another problem now... I'm falling apart! I've lost 8 kg since I started but routine blood tests have just shown elevated cholesterol and blood sugar (pre-diabetic). Cholesterol up to 6.something from 5.something, bad cholesterol up and and sugars up to 7 from 5.4 a year ago. Cholesterol is hereditary too. Waaah! I know I eat too much sugar but have managed to lose while continuing to have it. I don't think I can go cold turkey on the sugar as I have it in tea (detest sweeteners) and life without tea is not worth living! Not sure why the cholesterol is up as I don't eat much meat or cheese (main culprits?) Have cut down on oil a bit though. Am thinking will try to add oats and good oils back into my diet and watch the meat and ice cream consumption. Anyone else got cholesterol problems?

Ah well, onwards and downwards!

Congrats on all those lovely Linda's gone!

Had a bad last 2 days so going to try and have the next 13 days (to the end of the month) being super super golden... even if it is my birthday on Sunday Confused
