If you aim to get 10,000 in keep that would be a great start, then just build in an extra 1000 here and there. It takes me around 6-8 mins marching to get a 1000 in. Everything doesn’t have to be full pelt all the time. You can build up over time. Do what you can and a little push here & there😉
hair your success speaks for itself! Talk about results, phenomenal

Hello all. Some great advice and losses here. I love this thread.

I'm sort of bumbling along. Weekend was an utter disaster but I'm back on it now. Exercise is going great guns too. Not weighed since Friday. Giving myself a couple of days to regain control before I face the music

Hi all. Quim thanks for the recipe...i made fritta on Sunday. It was very good Smile.

Forgot to weigh yesterday as was in a mad hurry to leave the gym as running late for work.

Weighed in at bang on 9st this morning.
Quick question though... this might sound ridic but I feel kinda cheated when I weigh at the gym. I always wear a vest, running leggings and my cloudfoam Nike's but would I be much less if I got own decent scales and weighed naked first thing? Anyone else do this or am I a total freak for asking?

ponygirlcurtis · 16/01/2018 20:02

Oh I weigh in the total buff after my morning wee. I even remove my Fitbit! 😆

BeyondWW · 16/01/2018 20:27

I weigh in my knickers and Fitbit , on one particular stone of the flagstone floor in the kitchen (quickly shut the curtains!!), after my waking up wee.

Therealjudgejudy · 16/01/2018 21:35

I love it...need to get me some decent scales for some weekly naked weighing Grin!!

Kikisdeliveries · 16/01/2018 21:41

Great post not2b. Having gained everyday this week I have had to reconsider all my ways. Here's what I realised: my eating is already ok and limitjng my calories via counting everything is not the right thing for me. And having Mfp worry me that all my levels are wrong is not doing me any mental health favours. However, Mfp worked wonders for the post-binge xmas season, but it's not helping me now I'm back to routine.

My weight gain is always when I can't exercise as much as I want (or from holidays but this is acceptable) so I need to address the emotional issues that come with either injury or whatever life stress has stopped me moving.

So here's where I'm at: very happy with my exercise levels and current muscle soreness! Not happy with the scales and Mfp making me feel like a failure. I want to lose weight as there's more wobble than I'm happy with so I will continue with my healthy eating and exercise keep going. I don't snack on junk and I've had 1 glass of wine since 30th December. I'm doing ok.

Kikisdeliveries · 16/01/2018 21:41

I also weigh naked!

poorpaws · 16/01/2018 22:37

KOKO grab a pen and come and join me, I’m glad of the company.
Well there’s no wonder I’ve been gaining so much weight. I’m on the second day of writing everything down and I’ve already reduced my snacking intake dramatically. Hoping for a good loss for the first time in a long time. Also doing 16,000 steps per day.

Everyone seems to be doing so well and keeping so positive. I love this thread too BOOP

splatattack · 17/01/2018 02:22

Right...binge fest 2018 has got to come to an end. I have 'relaxed' faaaar too much post wedding and feel terrible as a result. Hitching myself to the wagon from tomorrow...am going to stop avoiding the fat and update regularly...

Well done everyone for being so good post xmas...please please can you help me do the same 🙏🏻

ARichVernacular · 17/01/2018 06:32

TheDonald I have also been struggling, hence not posting much. Focusing on the positives, I have got back to proper exercise and am hardly drinking booze (dry January now just damp, lol). Weighed in last week at 10st13, so at least not in the 11s (am 5'4" and small framed, the 11s is my arbitrary "oh god no" cut off point). Just trying to get my head back in the game...

lastqueenofscotland · 17/01/2018 06:44

2 lbs down for me which k think is five for the month Grin

HairsprayBabe · 17/01/2018 07:11

Morning 10.2 I don't really know what is going on this week but that is a bloody poor show after 2 perfect fast days... same weight as Monday morning I was really hoping to leave the 10's behind this week, dosn't look like that is going to happen...

KOKO all

Morning all, 11.5 this morning so .6 down on last Fridays weight, looking good for at least a 1lb loss by Friday.
keep - I’m trying to think how best to explain the ethos of the group. If you can do 10,000-15,000 steps a day you get a set calorie allowance, there is a set % of protein, carbs and fat you need (or at least make a decent aim) to reach. You need to hit an amount of fibre too cause that means you’re eating at least a good proportion of nutrient dense foods. You can do the steps in whatever manner you want as I said yesterday, gym/marching on the spot etc.
Now the hardest part is that there are no excuses, and you have to leave behind any SW/WW/juicing diet ideas. He’s a lovely genuine guy but he takes no prisoners and doesn’t mince his words, if you want it you do it. As he says your body doesn’t listen to excuses. There’s a great online fb community and Rachel his partner does live HIIT sessions twice a week, there’s live Q&A sessions. I believe in this but if you’re not ready for tough love, hang back a bit and try what I suggested for you, 10k a day pushing to increase, consistent calories, a bit of patience and positive thinking. If you say you can’t, you’re right - ykwim?

BeyondWW · 17/01/2018 08:28

Morning all! Stayed the same this morning, so still -7.6lbs

HairsprayBabe · 17/01/2018 11:25

www.verywell.com/recipe-nutrition-analyzer-4129594

I have just found this amazing website, you stick in the ingredients for a recipe and it gives you a nice nutrition label and the calorie count per serving!

I am having a squash apple and cinnamon smoothie bowl for lunch and a courgette and squash lasagna for dinner.

Praying for a loss tomorrow...

BitOutOfPractice · 17/01/2018 12:42

Hairspray mfp does that. You just copy the url of a recipe and it does the rest.

Can I ask a question. It’s niggling me.

Do you have a “moderation” mode. I don’t. I’m either 100% super golden on it. Or 100% eat everything. Same with booze. Dry or too much. No moderation switch on my head.

I only (only! I’ve been saying that for 6 months) have 7/10lbs to lose and I’m worried that this lack of moderation will make maintenance tricky

MFP is too big for my phone, and I couldn't get it to stop kicking me out on the tablet... I desperately wanted it for the graphs!

BitOutOfPractice · 17/01/2018 12:47

You can use it on the pc / laptop. In fact the recipe builder is better in the desktop version

OP posts:
Kikisdeliveries · 17/01/2018 13:41

Boop, yes I do have moderation mode, which amazes me but somehow I've found it! However, what I have to keep an eye on is gradual increasing of 'moderation', as I can find myself in the mindset of 'moderate' but then realise that the reality has become 'glutton'!

Having a couple of decent low calorie days per week helps reset me.

However, as someone a stone off her modest goal weight, with little evidence I'll ever get back there maybe I'm not really qualified to give advice Confused

BeyondWW · 17/01/2018 13:44

Hairspray, can you just access the website on your phones browser rather than using the app? I do this for lots of sites as I don't like loads of apps (cough - mn is one - cough)

NewYearNiki · 17/01/2018 14:02

Thanks Boop I didn't know you could get mfp on desktop!
