Night out to a friends, I'm not taking my own bottles to a pub Grin

Kikisdeliveries · 13/01/2018 11:52

Proper transformation hairspray, you look years younger and just generally fabulous!

Not2bObvious · 13/01/2018 14:22

You’re doing the right thing pre-measuring your gin beyond, they could use me on a poster today to turn people off drinking!
If I’d lost that amount of weight and looked that good after it hair, I’d have the pictures on a t-shirt and wear it out so people would praise me😂 You earned the praise fair & square
I’ve done my promised 10,000 steps and so far haven’t lost the run of myself with food - of course it’s still early. Headache has lifted a little but still a tad delicate

BeyondWW · 13/01/2018 15:13

Haha not2, yeah the last time this particular group of us had a party ended badly for me too so I'm on the ball this time! Grin

Just made a variation of my paneer coconut curry by throwing in some Thai spices. Too calorific to have today though so got one of my butternut squash and leek portions out of the freezer :)

HairsprayBabe · 13/01/2018 15:35

That is such a good idea beyond, I will be copying that for my next girls night, save my head and my wais line!

HairsprayBabe · 14/01/2018 08:09

10.2 success on the no snack front, only ate at meals yesterday, but one of them was pizza and cheesecake, accounting for the gain.
Hoping for a better day today to start the week as close to 10 as possible!

ponygirlcurtis · 14/01/2018 08:32

Morning all. Busy weekend here - made Tom Kerridge's pastaless lasagne last night (using sliced aubergines instead of courgette) - omg was delicious! Don't think I have ever had ricotta before, could have eaten the whole thing!

Hairspray you are positively glowing in your most recent pic, and I love your Christmas top! You have worked so hard, bloody well done.

Not2bObvious · 14/01/2018 08:34

Morning all. Usual weekend flux on the scales taking me up 2lb on Fridays weight. Since I weigh and note it everyday, I know it’ll be gone by Tuesday. Had a maintenance day Friday & yesterday so I need to return to my 1700-1800 today. I should go for a jog now to get it out of the way but the bed is too cosy! Not to worry, I’ll get it done at some point. Anyone doing anything nice today?

HappyGowerGirl · 14/01/2018 08:53

Crazy busy birthday weekend, only really popping onto this thread to say

BLOODY HELL HAIRSPRAY YOU LOOK AWESOME. Such an inspiration.

Happy Sunday all!

NewYearNiki · 14/01/2018 13:26

Omg Hairspray you look fabulous. But you always did. Even before the weight loss you were a gorgeous woman.

I have been off the thread lately as my motivation has waned as I got to my goal in November and other than natural fluctuations of 1lb or 2lbs has stayed there. I am trying to focus more on fitness now and building muscle. I would like to lose a bit more but January blues have set in.

I am planning a birthday break for myself in the spring (no one to go with or take me, sob) & thinking of activity based like hiking or a mountain climb. Any ideas? Has anyone done any activity trips lately?

HappyGowerGirl · 14/01/2018 16:29

Niki how long do you have for your trip? Marrakesh is absolutely amazing, you can fly there from several U.K. cities. Spend a day or so roaming the souks and then take a trip to the Atlas Mountains for some excellent hiking! I highly recommend.

Closer to home I love the Brecon Beacons, or a nice coastal path. Basque Country is another favourite of mine. Can't really go wrong with the Lake District...

Would you like to go by yourself, or would you prefer to be with other people? If the latter, why not book yourself onto a group tour? Might be a nice way to meet new people, too.

If you say a bit more about your budget/food/climate preferences we will be able to make more target directions🙂

Oh, and Iceland is an amazing place too! As is Norway🙂

NewYearNiki · 14/01/2018 17:24

Technically any time at all as I am still out of permanent work and tbh I can just book and tell any new employer and they have to work around it when they hire me.

My budget is non existent as I'll have to whack it on credit cards or raid my savings.

If activity based I can't really go alone as I'd be useless.

I have been to Marrakech already but I did think of there and doing Mount Toubkal but it might be to strenuous .

I have always wanted to go to Iceland but dont think I can afford it.

twinkledag · 14/01/2018 21:03

You look fab Hairspray!!

Birthday weekend... full of food... back on it tomorrow!

Kikisdeliveries · 14/01/2018 21:07

This weekend I have done 1 hour body pump, 2 hours martial arts, 40 minutes running & 30 minutes yoga.

I have only roughly logged calories and neither held back nor gone nuts.

Let's see what my body makes of all that!

Currently: sore, but feel great.

HappyGowerGirl · 14/01/2018 21:31

Niki Ok, if budget is tight then Iceland is not the best idea (it could be cheap-ish in summer when you can wild camp for free, but this time of year it would be expensive).

Morocco can be cheap if you can find cheap flights so that could be an option. I haven't been to Fez but that also sounds nice!

If you don't mind rain and wind and tough conditions (I don't!) then how about booking yourself into a lovely pub or B&B for two nights in the country side? Lovely walks in the day time and pub dinner with a good book in the evening? Followed by Netflix and an early night? Sounds like the dream weekend to me😀

Or, if you're not working at the moment you could book something mid week and get a good deal? Maybe a nice hotel in a city with a good gym? You can have a work out and a swim and order room service?

So many options!!!

lastqueenofscotland · 14/01/2018 21:44

Hairspray you are stunning.

Managed a weekend without eating everything in sight for once.
Go me

NewYearNiki · 14/01/2018 22:20

My birthday falls on a spring bank holiday this year. I'm not going now.

HairsprayBabe · 15/01/2018 06:59

Ah thanks all, Niki we were considering morroco, for the Souks for me and the geology for DP but we have settled on Italy for the food 😂

But that might be posponed for a little be due to finances as this changing your whole life and job in one month is bloody stressful and expensive 😭😭

Did really well untill after dinner yesterday when I felt a teeny bit nibbly so I ate 2 of the breakfast bars I had made for DP to take to work this week 🐷 and then has another... 10.2 so no further damage but I could have been so much better!

HappyGowerGirl · 15/01/2018 07:14

Nice work last!

Niki I'm assuming you're reluctant to go away with the BH because of prices? Can you go just before or after?

I am maintaining (59.4kg or 9.5) which I'm pleased with.

BeyondWW · 15/01/2018 08:19

Morning all :)

Stayed the same after my slightly naughty weekend. Not too bad a weekend but ate a few snacky things at the party that I didn't count (discovered that cheese and pineapple dipped in sour cream is rather yummy...) and then mcds breakfast yesterday (though did include that in my calorie allowance). So I'm happy with staying the same 👍

TVHubbyClaire · 15/01/2018 10:12

Fabulous results and pics Hairspray It must make all the effort worthwhile when you can see such positive results

12st 6 today which is not bad for a Monday. Alpen for breakfast and a couple of chopped up pears will be about all the food I have today until dinner so hopefully a good day

Playing badminton and doing cardio tennis is helping but walking 10,000 steps a day has died a bit of a death and I am nowwhere near running or any more strenuous exercise. Sad

Bought some new clothes and can't afford to put any weight on....

BeyondWW · 15/01/2018 10:12

Messed up my breakfast a bit... Accidentally toasted two bits of rye bread (with avocado and scrambled egg - yum!) so had to eat them both. Now I am rather full.

NewYearNiki · 15/01/2018 10:21

I want to be away for my.actual birthday. I hate birthday at the best of times but this one is going to be awful.

BeyondWW · 15/01/2018 10:29

If everything is too expensive being the bh Niki, can you just take yourself off to a travelodge in a random city for a couple of nights?

HappyGowerGirl · 15/01/2018 10:39

Niki, are you happy to reveal whereabouts you are in the country approx? That will help narrow down the suggestions for trips nearer to you (which should be cheaper).

Oh! Another suggestion! Have you been to Edinburgh? Lots of lovely things to do around there with the option of climbing Arthur's seat, which I always find very therapeutic🙂
