Well done captain Star

HairsprayBabe · 09/01/2018 15:22

EEEK just paid the deposit for my new little flat in Nottingham, this new job life changing business is terrifying....

p.s.
I am so hungry!

Kikisdeliveries · 09/01/2018 15:57

Well done Captain! You've also reminded me there's a whole season of Brooklyn 99 just put up on netflix Grin

Ooooh, you are having an exciting start to 2018 hairspray! Wow!

Feezles · 09/01/2018 16:22

Well done, Captain!

I'm also 3lb down this morning, and feeling pretty chuffed, because after the weekend I had, I very definitely do not deserve to be! DD has been ill (nothing major, just a nasty cold, but she has had viral hives with it which wasn't nice), which was stressful in itself, but then I had the fun fun task of arranging emergency childcare - and I am terrible for stress eating. Still, I don't seem to have done any harm, and onwards and upwards, eh?

In other news - I can report back that theSpicy Moroccan Lamb Burgers from the new Tom Kerridge diet book are both very nice and absolutely massive! We're trying the Southern Style Chicken this weekend.

BeyondWW · 09/01/2018 16:44

We have ordered kebabs and chips for dinner Blush

I have a chicken doner wrap and have counted it (as best as I can estimate) and I'm still within my calories! Woo!!

Softpebbles · 09/01/2018 19:11

Wowsers Hairspray didn't realise you were moving. You are coming to my neck of the woods!

lastqueenofscotland · 09/01/2018 19:14

Hairspray that's exciting! Where are you at the moment? Absolutely smashed today out of the park Star and now off for a run to seal the deal as it were

ponygirlcurtis · 09/01/2018 19:42

Ooo exciting stuff Hairspray! Try not to do a starvation die before that. Grin

Enjoy celebrating with DD BOOP. Glitterball

Some fab losses already, well done everyone. I am back on low carb bootcamp from yesterday, just had Brussels in butter for a snack, mmmmm. Xmas Wink

Therealjudgejudy · 09/01/2018 20:08

Hi everyone. Typing this from the comfort of my hotel roomSmile.

I've eaten a cooked breakfast every morning since I've been in London but I've tried to keep it pretty tame. Healthy lunches and dinners. Plus I've gone running every morning which has been a great way to start each day and I'm also doing dry January. Back home Thursday evening and will be at the gym Friday morning back in the swing of things.

poorpaws · 09/01/2018 23:39

Hairspray and Pebbles I’m originally from Nottinghamshire. I don’t live there now but did for most of my life.

I’m still not well. Been hearing about this Aussie flu and I’ve had all the symptoms. I’ve got rid of the cold part but the headaches and exhaustion are still ruining any diet attempts.

Well done everyone, there are some amazing losses. Koko I’m still joining you at the bottom of the class, but you’ve started to do so well now, I think you are leaving me behind - well done you.

MountainDweller · 09/01/2018 23:53

Am delighted to report that I've lost 1 kg of Christmas indulgence! I haven't even been that virtuous - a few Christmas crocs and some hot chocolate have slipped down my gullet when I wasn't looking ☺️

I had a bit of bad news though... turns out that what I thought was a soft tissue injury to my hip may well be post-traumatic arthritis. I already have it in my (other) ankle after an accident and 3 surgeries. Knew something must be going on as it's been 2.5 years! So a hip replacement could be in my future. I'm only 50. Ah well all the more reason to stick to my diet!

lastqueenofscotland · 10/01/2018 06:57

STS for me this week... I was hoping for a pound down but Saturday was such a disaster Blush
Also these new early starts are taking some getting used to and I haven't... ahem... been to the loo in a couple of days so I'm hoping some of it will be that haha

HairsprayBabe · 10/01/2018 07:18

10.3 so should see a loss on last Saturdays weight, just have to hold steady this weekend.

Experiencing terrible carb flu currently...

Yes it is all very exciting I am going to do 4 days in Notts, then head home on Friday afternoon to DP and my poor abandoned hamster 💔🐹

It is only for 6 months untill my training is done, then I will be WFH with some remote working and events!

ponygirlcurtis · 10/01/2018 07:40

Oh no Mountain - what does that mean practically for exercising?

ponygirlcurtis · 10/01/2018 07:43

Oh no Mountain - what does that mean practically for exercising?

HairsprayBabe · 10/01/2018 07:59

So Sorry mountain I just read that Flowers

Kikisdeliveries · 10/01/2018 08:13

Mountain have they given you physio and stuff for your hip? There should be plenty you can do with for self care and fending off that eventual hip replacement. I'm not a physio but if you haven't seen one go and get advice. It's worth paying for.

HappyGowerGirl · 10/01/2018 10:03

Oh no mountain!

I haven't weighed myself this morning, I'm not expecting to have lost any weight as I haven't been especially virtuous lately... in fact I've been ravenous as I've been running so much! (25km in total over the last few days!). Taking a break from running today so hopefully I won't feel the need to stuff my face tonight😳

Gosh Mountain that’s a tough thing to hear at only 50Flowers I know it’s not a pleasant thought, hope it’s in the distance for the moment. My own hip aches a bit and my dad has had his replaced so I get a bit nervous it’s in my cards too.
Delighted with myself today, down to11.7 from yesterday’s 11.9.4, hurrah! Hope it stays or drops a bit by Friday. Bit tired as I was up for the gym at 6, lots of day left to get through!

QuimReaper · 10/01/2018 20:26

Oh dear Mountain, so sorry to hear that, what a horrid thing to hear Flowers

QuimReaper · 10/01/2018 20:28

I've absolutely bossed it today! Barely had anything except a soya latte and a smoothie, and got a frittata in the oven. I tried to hula hoop this evening but I did 45 minutes last night and evidently bruised myself a bit as it was AGONY. I'm a bit annoyed, best-laid plans and all that. I'll do it on Thursday and hope I toughen up a bit as I get used to it...

SparklyLights · 10/01/2018 21:03

Hi... I'm more than a bit late here but could I join in pls? Put on 5-6lb over Christmas & I'm struggling to stay on track/stay away from the chocolates etc so I think I've put on another pound since. Really would like to lose it before end of Jan. Would be good to have some group motivation (and give support as well!) if you have room for a not so little one... Smile

Kikisdeliveries · 10/01/2018 22:24

Welcome sparkly! I think this is the first time that I've lost my xmas weight in first week in January rather than putting it in. This thread is excellent motivation!
