Hi all,
I know there’s been threads on this before but I can’t find anything recent in this area.
I know this works as it’s worked for friends (male and female) who religiously so it every 4/5 months. You lose 6kilos in a week.
Anyone want to join me, starting tomorrow?

The diet was designed by doctors to help people lose weight (a stone) in a week.. which I really really need as I’ve just started a new job (after 6 weeks off which meant I was bored and ate loads) as none of my dresses fit!!

I’m starting again today. I did 5 days last time (had to stop due to an event) and I lost 7,5 llb.fizzy water is my little tip - seems to be more satisfying than still.

Yesterday was my last day. I've lost 6 pounds but I have finished on my period so feeling a bit bloated. Going to eat very healthily today and tomorrow and then relweigh to see if I've lost more when my period ends. Pleased with 6 pounds though. I'm only a couple of pounds away from being under 25 for my bum so hopefully can get there soon!

I’m on day 2 today. I’m feeling a bit weird to be honest but it’ll be worth it (I hope!)

The first 3 days are the toughest. Once you get to day 4 it's a tipping point and you feel closer to the end. Day 6 is my most hated day but each time I've done it I've lost at least half a stone and kept it off after for a good few months. Good luck!

I’m on day 3 of this diet and have lost 3 pounds so far. That’s more than I lost in 4 weeks of low carb! I’m finding it fine, but I really hate the grapefruit. The next few days will be dry toast for breakfast which I am looking forward to.

I do think that this diet is probably easier to do in the summer rather than winter, because of all the fruit and salad. And although I miss my mugs of milky tea, I’d miss them more on a cold winters day and don’t mind drinking lots of water in this heat.

I'm on day 2 of this diet. I couldn't weigh myself when I started as the battery in my scales has died! I have taken photos to compare once I get to the end!

Weighed in today again, I finished on Tuesday and today (Thursday) I'm down another 1.5 pounds now my period has finished so that's nearly 8 pounds. I'm just two pounds off being under 25 for bmi so close to being ’officially a healthy weight’.

Fantastic Aria! Gives me real incentive to stick at it.

Day 4 has been my most difficult day so far. It’s day 5 for me today, I weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost 5 pounds since Monday! Out for lunch tomorrow so I’m going to swap my lunch and dinner round and I’ve checked that the restaurant does chicken salad. Will be difficult making a nice dinner for my DCs tomorrow night when I’ll only have fruit to eat.....

Anyone else still doing this?

I’m on day 7 today. I’ve stuck to diet perfectly but weighed myself this morning and have not lost anything since day 5. So it’s still a 5 pound loss which is great, but I was hoping for a couple more pounds. It might be that it was all water loss and now my body is adjusting. Not sure if I’m going to stick to it today, the last day, as I don’t fancy 2 meals of egg followed by steak.

I'm still doing it, today I'm on day 5. I feel like I've lost weight but I only managed to weigh myself yesterday for the first time as my scales were out if battery! I'll weigh myself when I finish and see...

Well done figel. After day 4 it definitely gets easier. I’m sure you will have lost weight.

I’ve kept to the exact diet for every meal, I think that’s the only way to do it. But it’s my last day today and I can’t face eggs for 2 meals so just had a grapefruit for breakfast (again!).

Well done raisins. Luckily I don't mind eggs or grapefruit. But I did have a funny reaction to the grapefruit last night...tingly tongue and lips!

Wow well done figel, can really see a difference.

I lost 5 pounds which I was really pleased with. I went away for a few days and didn’t put any weight on, so it can’t all just be water weight if I still weigh the same a week later.

I didn’t find the diet too hard, but did find it hard not to have my cups of tea with milk. Might try it again but with milky tea and see if it still works! I also found it restrictive to do over a full week as I often have plans to see friends and family for meals. I might try the military diet in a few weeks time as that is just for 3 days.

Thank you raisins! I had milk in my coffee, peanut butter on the toast (no way could I do dry toast) and I also had a small snack of Bombay mix each day! I hate chops so I had fish that day instead.

I am on hol this week (and drinking far more gin and prosecco than I should) but I will be following the diet again after my hol.

I think half a grapefruit and a boiled egg each day for breakfast.

Fruit for lunch.

Meat/fish/egg salad for dinner and half a grapefruit

Hoping I can stick to this!!!

Hi i am on day 3 of james duncan diet and have lost 6lb already.i usually do slimming world but have not done it proply since b4 christmas so obviosly put a coiple pounds on but am less now than my last way so it will get me back on track.i intend to do this diet once every 6 or 8 week to see if it gives me the odd boost.i go away on 28th january for 10 days so i will be back on it wen i get back...i will finish the james duncan diet friday and will be back on sw saturday till day b4 my hols.i am finding it hard but worth it to see the weight going.good luck to all who trys it and let us know how you did.thanks xx
