Hi all,
I know there’s been threads on this before but I can’t find anything recent in this area.
I know this works as it’s worked for friends (male and female) who religiously so it every 4/5 months. You lose 6kilos in a week.
Anyone want to join me, starting tomorrow?

The diet was designed by doctors to help people lose weight (a stone) in a week.. which I really really need as I’ve just started a new job (after 6 weeks off which meant I was bored and ate loads) as none of my dresses fit!!

Hi Tiddler7 shame you didn't start last week and we could have done together as I am on day 7 and next weekend on holiday for a month in Vietnam and Thailand hence the need to shift at least half a stone. How did you get on yesterday

Hi Tiddler7 really not sure what to do tomorrow whether to eat more normally as they state you have to have a break for two weeks after doing a week or to continue for another three or 4 days as dont want to gain in the 5 days before my holiday.

I would continue. If it works, I am planning to do week on, week off. But I have loads to shift Grin

I was surprised how well it went yesterday. And shocked how much I snacked before Blush. I reached for snacks so many times yesterday, just to remember I can't. And it's not sweets, more cheese and little nibbles...

Ordered digital scale, but on "old" one was showing about kilo less this morning! (under 2lbs). Feeling very motivated.

Think it's because avocado is so high in fat and this diet reduces fat and carbs and is high in protein. I didn't use salt or pepper as I BBQ the steak lamb so got flavour from that but I read on line some people do . Also read that diet soda is allowed but again I didn't have just in case

Day 7 completed and but disappointed as stayed the same but very happy with 6 3/4 lb weight loss in a week. Decided to have the weeks rest as stipulated but going to have 1100 calories a day this week and see what happens . Definatly do this again later in the year

Did my first day yesterday..was surprisingly ok! "Lost" 4 lbs overnight, and have discovered that I actually like grapefruit. Cautiously optimistic.

Goodfortuneattendthee I am more than happy ok it wasnt the guarenteed weight loss of a stone but 6 3/4 lb loss in a week made a huge difference to me - good luck and well done

I am on day 3, and not as easy as I thought. Just going through pile of fruit, and updating MFP...
Waiting for scale to arrive, but changes in my eating and mainly drinking are too drastic not to lose weight.

It's maybe slightly easier for me so far (I'm not daft, I know I can fail at any moment) because I am used to intermittent fasting (something I can't gather my resolve to get back into this year) where I would be eating less daily, and a lot less regularly (generally eat it all in the evening). Something has to work for me, I'm pretty desperate at the moment to be honest.

hi GoodFortuneAttendThee last Sunday I was in tears when I tried on my bikini as I had tried calorie watching for 3 weeks including giving up alcohol and did not lose a single 1lb and had this holiday looming and couldn't see me losing any weight. I tried this as a last resort as was running out of time and although not easy at times I followed it to the letter and lost 6.75 lb in the week. I can totally understand your frustration but follow it to the T and you will continue to loose weight as you did yesterday

Very pleased to report another 0.5lb lost yesterday which is day 8 so first day of back to normal food , however decided to eat around 1000 calories for day and also did aqua aerobics for first time so 7.25 lb loss in 8 days - can't tell you how pleased I am that I found and did this plan.

Is it ok to eat tinned grapefruit rather than fresh? can't stomach the fresh stuff.

I am on dreaded day 4, and shocked to discover new tonnes of energy. I was skipping to work today and sweating like a pig!

On my old fashioned scale it is also showing something between 1.5-2kg less, so we are talking about 4lbs. Happy.

Yes, made sure in juice with no added sugar. Had a look at calories and there is slightly more in a tin, but only about 50 calories more compared to a whole grapefruit.

I'm inspired and want to start tomorrow. Any tips or hints or things to watch out for? Have a quiet 7 days ahead is no lunch meet ups planned and quiet at work so no birthdays etc so may as well do it! Is it important to have breakfast though? Can I have the breakfast bits with dinner? I am famishing at diner time and can never stomach breakfast

The Rules
No alcoholic drinks.
Permitted drinks: Black coffee, tea, lemon/grapefruit juice without sugar
No milk, butter or fats.
NO EATING BETWEEN MEALS
Abstain from all not included in diet
. Eat what is shown or go without.
ONLY DIET FOR ONE WEEK IN THREE - TWO WEEKS OFF
No substitutes allowed. The basis of the diet is chemical, not the quantities.
Lunch and dinner may be swapped but only on the same day.
