Mind if I join you? I have lost 2 and a half stone with weight watchers since having DC2 in April, but at 5'4" and 12 stone 8.5 I still have a way to go. I've been yoyoing for my whole adult life and would really like to make this the last time I lose weight. My current mini goal is to be 11 something by Christmas. I'm also going skiing in January and currently my salopettes don't do up!

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 01/11/2017 18:39

I'm in! Sick of putting on the same 2/3 pounds. Determined to break the 10stone barrier this month!
Had a 90 minute PT session this morning and weighed in at 65.9kg
Breakfast- Banana and a cup of tea
Lunch- rice cakes with tuna/egg/mayo and cucumber batons
Dinner- pork loin with new potatoes and veg
Snack- nuts/Greek yogurt/honey
That's coming in at about 900cals to kick start the week.

Naughtysausage · 01/11/2017 21:09

Hello all!

Joining again (think I was last on the threads in spring).

I'll do a starting weight tomorrow morning.

Last you poor thing. Are you feeling positive about throwing yourself into this?

TheDonald · 01/11/2017 21:35

LastFlowers sorry to hear about the break up. It's a horrible feeling.

Hair spray is it tomorrow? Fingers and toes crossed.

I'm celebrating a NSV today. I actually did a plank at Pilates and held it as long as everyone else! Including lifting one leg off the floor. I've never done it before and I'm sure it's because my puny arms and rubbish core muscles can cope better with 8lb less to hold up!

Might be coincidence but I'm having it as a victory anyway!

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 01/11/2017 21:37

Good 1st day. Gym session, healthy food and most importantly, I took the lid off the biscuit tin and then put it back on without diving in. This is a big win for me!

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 01/11/2017 21:38

And commiserations to the last queen. Bag of shite, that.

TheDonald · 01/11/2017 21:42

Koko my plan is the same as last month.

No added sugar at all and track what I eat on mfp. My base is 1200 caps a day but I am eating some of the added fitbit calories. Especially on days when I've done a long run.

The big difference has been cutting out sugar though. It's amazing how much easier it is to stick to lower calories. I don't get the hungry mood swings which made it impossible to not snack.

poorpaws · 01/11/2017 22:41

Wow this November thread has moved quickly. Thank you for it BOOP.

Last sending you a big hug and positive vibes for the future.

Hairspray hope everything went well.

leesmum I did badly in October too. Enjoy your break and we’ll be back on it soon.

So I eventually returned to WW tonight after a 5 week absence. I love their scales, they are 2 1/2 pounds lighter than mine. I actually had a go at the Hulahoop after class and was amazed to find I can actually do it. (I tried a children’s one last year and couldn’t do it but this one is a very big weighted one and I found it easy as a lot of the other girls did). I’m not sure whether to buy one or not. The leader gets hers out in the TV ads and does 4 minutes and has noticed a difference to her fitness levels.

Welcome lots of newbies, you’ll love it here, there’s lots of support.

Good luck to everyone for some great losses in November.

Stellar67 · 02/11/2017 06:21

Replied to the wrong thread Blush
After my haitus I’m back again.

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 02/11/2017 06:52

Quick weighin this morning to see what damage half term did. 11st9 on the nail. Hoping for 11st4 or less on 1st Dec!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 02/11/2017 06:54

Well..... Up at 5.30 and just had marmalade on toast. That's not a good start! Yesterday was a good diet day though. I've been busy making Christmas crafts to sell so have had lots to do and been not in the kitchen all the time. This proves that most of my eating is boredom related, so once the Christmas period is over I will need to find a new 'hobby' that I can do in order to keep busy. I'm a sahm so I do find it hard to find things to do with the dc at home. I tend to clean!

ArseyTussle · 02/11/2017 07:34

Hello all. I fell off this thread in spectacular fashion months ago and am now trying again. Feeling very down on myself that so much of my good work last time has gone to waste. I had a few months of unemployment and lost about 17lb and as soon as I went back to an office I returned to the habits of Diet Coke and loads of biscuits. Blush

I really want to break my sugar addiction and eat more intuitively.

93.2kg, 165cm

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 02/11/2017 07:58

Morning 😃
Weighing in at 64.5kg this morning so a loss already.

Plan for today.

B- eggs of some sort with tomatoes/mushrooms
L- salmon stir fry
D- Chicken and avo salad
S- nuts/honey/yogurt

Ex- 5k run

Have a great day everyone!

HairsprayBabe · 02/11/2017 08:03

Hi all, the interview itself went really well it was nice being able to have a fresh start with no one second guessing my answers, they said I gave really comprehensive answers and they recognised my name from some reports I wrote when I worked there before
but....
I was 11 mins late due to mad taxi driver taking me to brixton and I knocked the jug of water over in the middle of the table!

10.3 ate dinner really late last night, am going for a fast day today as my one on Tuesday failed and ended in bread Grin

ArseyTussle · 02/11/2017 08:05

Just read back through this thread, Flowers for Lasty. Nice to see the old folks I remember from back in the spring, you’re all nubile as fuck!

Stellar67 · 02/11/2017 08:28

Hi Arsey, don’t fret, I feel like I am gaining g 7lbs a month just now. Nice to “see” you.

ArseyTussle · 02/11/2017 08:35

Thanks Stellar. I haven’t put on everything I lost, so there’s hope.

Anyone got any tips for kicking a sugar habit?

Mimosa1 · 02/11/2017 08:43

Hi arsey, sadly I think the only thing to do is to go cold turkey. It's hard as there is hidden sugar in most things. I've never paid so much attention to food labels before!

twinkledag · 02/11/2017 08:45

I always see these threads in Active Conversations and think ‘that’s a good idea’ but always see them too late in the month to join and use that as an excuse to be crap Blush

Not this month Smile. I started yesterday and will post here daily, promise!

Yesterday could’ve gone better but wasn’t awful. Feeling motivated today.

Start weight was 11 stone. I want to be 10 stone. Not weighing till end of month because as soon as I see a low weight on the scales, it sets off a week of eating crap Hmm

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 02/11/2017 08:55

Hello everyone! It's lovely to see so many newbies, and some old "faces" back again, let's make a successful month!

Last I'm so sorry to hear about your break up, that's truly shit. Flowers to you.

I'm clambering back on the wagon after a lovely few days away ignoring the fact that I've been back since Monday
I had a semi successful fast day yesterday to kickstart the month, and now I'm aiming for 1200 for a few days, and a weigh in on Sunday. Today has not started well though, I had some lovely tomato soup to bring to work as a virtuous lunch, but I've left it in the fridge at home

CakeLoving · 02/11/2017 09:18

Hello everyone! May I join for the first time please? I've been bouncing between 12st 10 and 12st 2lbs for the last 6 months and it's doing my head in! My biggest problem is I haven't been below 12st 2 since 2002 (when I was 22) so it's such a massive barrier!

I lost 30lbs between November 2016 and March 2017 with slimming world and regular Zumba to get to 173 so I know I can do this!

The chocolate and cake are my downfall...i massively binge as soon as I decide to even have a little. I'm talking 2 boxes of chocolate, or a whole gang of cupcakes (is that the right collective noun?! Grin)

So, from now on I'm placing a total freeze on cake and chocolate (um, after I finish the box I left some in last night...), back to Zumba 3-4 x a week, and the goal for me is to get down to 170 by end november!

Aghhhhhhhhhh!

HappyGowerGirl · 02/11/2017 09:29

Just marking my place as this thread moves so fast!!!

ArseyTussle · 02/11/2017 09:30

Cold turkey sounds delicious Mimosa. Grin

I did a week of cold turkey before and dropped a whopping 4 lb but couldn’t sustain it. I was also hell to live with. It’s so hard!

Tricycletops · 02/11/2017 09:43

Arsey I had similar with low carbing - DH and I did it for a fre weeks and lost loads of weight, but we had to agree to stop for the sake of our marriage as we both became absolutely vile without carbs.

So far this morning I've had spelt bread toast and butter and a black coffee, and have just been to the butcher to get chicken for lunch and tea. I also have a barre class booked later although as everything already aches from yesterday's workout I'm not feeling thrilled by that at the moment!

TieGrr · 02/11/2017 10:26

Yesterday wasn't a great day for me. I had a small packet of sweets early in the day - left over from Halloween - and the rest of the day was spent craving sweet and carby food. I managed to just stick with an extra HiFi bar, a packet of crisps and half a brownie but also had a bread roll with dinner. It was horrible. I just wanted food all day and I think I can trace it back to the sweets and that early sugar rush.
