Do you think the dress is smart enough for a gym Christmas party?

TVHubbyClaire · 03/11/2017 15:35

I bought this for a wedding earlier this year but never lost enough weight to feel comfortable wearing it. Hoping it will do for my Christmas party next week.

Sigh.

TheDonald · 03/11/2017 17:06

Great name backinthatdress.

And great dress Niki!

I only normally log my weight on Saturday but I weighed myself this morning because I know I've got a hectic day tomorrow so might forget. I was 11 3 which is exactly the same as last Saturday.

I'm a bit gutted about that because I thought I'd had a really positive week. No sugar, no snacks and I've stuck to 1200 caps (1400 on running days)

The scales have been wavering around 11 2 or even 11 1 but then settling on 11 3.0 every time.

I have done three quite hard runs this week. Two of 5+ miles and one of 45 mins hill reps. Normally I'd pig out afterwards but I thought I hadn't. Maybe I've been eating bigger portions than I realised.

Ah well. Wetherspoons for tea tonight.

KeiraTwiceKnightley · 03/11/2017 17:31

I'm down 1.5lbs since day 1 which is pleasing. I've also avoided the biscuit tin which is excellent for me! Abs still sore but did wear a new size 10 skirt today (not a Top Shop size 10 but still!) and had my younger colleagues impressed as I demonstrated full pressups on the staffroom floor at break...

Off to spend the weekend with my sisters and nieces so need to watch portions. And esp wine.

Therealjudgejudy · 03/11/2017 17:55

Niki that dress is fab.

Great gym session today and I went for a walk this evening as well...ended up in Aldi because I needed prawns for tomorrow's dinner. I also bought a packet of 2 Apple danish pastries Smile. I plan on having one with a cup of coffee soon which is guilt free as I've only eaten dinner today and that came in at 519 cals.

I don't normally crave sweet things but I do love a danish!

splatattack · 03/11/2017 18:00

So I have had to cancel my super duper weight training session with my trainer because I managed to smash my head off the sink when I was changing into my gym kit!! Now need to lie down as I might have concussion...How am I supposed to get fit and skinny when I am so bloody uncoordinated???!!! FML...🙈

NamasteNiki · 03/11/2017 18:11

Niki - whats a gym xmas party?

The gym I am a member of is holding a Christmas party and the dress code is dress to impress. They have a nice lounge and facilities.

HappyGowerGirl · 03/11/2017 18:16

Today was slightly better than yesterday, when I accidentally fell in a giant vat of crisps. Oops. Need to koko.

NamasteNiki · 03/11/2017 20:32

@HappyGower a vat of crisps Shock

Would love to fall in one of those!

Tricycletops · 03/11/2017 20:38

I am in the same position IHeart although as I'm going back after Christmas I don't think I can get to goal before then!

Not too bad a day today - homemade pancakes for lunch but I only had one. I stopped for coffee while out with DD and the baby but resisted the ridiculous cakes in favour of a small piece of ginger cake - as I'd offered to share with DD I didn't want to give her the salter caramel gateau so that worked quite well. I've also just agreed with DH that my Christmas present will be 10 sessions of personal training to help me stay on the exercise wagon once I'm working again. Now waiting g for grilled chicken and Actifry-ed chips to cook for dinner.

NamasteNiki · 03/11/2017 20:48

Great day today.

Not feeling hungry but maybe I should have something to eat when I get home. Just getting on bike home from gym.

Shocking day today.

First time since the start of last month that I've had a major pig out. I've been hungry all day and too busy for any exercise. MFP is at -800 and I'm not sure that's even all of it!

Tonight I've got two extra children here so I plan to drag them to the park tomorrow for football.

From Monday I'm going to try having a hard-boiled egg instead of porridge for breakfast. It's the only change I can think of that won't leave me feeling miserable.

TheDonald · 03/11/2017 21:01

Well done niki. Wow! Only just saw your post. That's amazing.

It makes me tired just looking at It!

lastqueenofscotland · 03/11/2017 21:10

Had a good ish day today, not golden by any chance but better than t has been

KikisDeliveryService · 03/11/2017 21:21

Golden day here Halo and a week of good behaviour. Hoping it translates to something positive on the scales at some point and will attempt to continue the good behaviour over the weekend.

Positive mindset.

IheartCaptainHolt · 03/11/2017 21:26

@HairsprayBabe I go to group every week, keeps me on the straight and narrow.

@BitOutOfPractice returning to work all slender and toned is what’s keeping me motivated!

Today has been good. All on plan food wise, went for a run and walked to the fireworks and back which was another hour in total. I’m also breastfeeding a massive baby so a good quantity of calories have been burnt.

NamasteNiki · 03/11/2017 21:31

I am knackered! Having some low carb light dinner. 1000 cals really isnt enough with all that exercise. I feel rough and worn out.

NamasteNiki · 03/11/2017 21:34

Will be finishing the day on about 1300 cals and 1000 for exercise.
