Anyone fancy a November 30 day shred and 1200 calories?

I’m planning on doing this for November and hopefully shifting some weight and get healthier.
I’ve got other dvds too so might do some Davina or a run/walk if the weather is nice.
I want to eat better and include lots of veg and more water.
Would be good to have other people to chat to about it.

Ashamed to say I had to Google 30 day shred but i’m up for giving it a go! Beginner version. Have just completed SoberOctober and am doing NoBoozeNovember so feeling motivated but have 4 stone to lose!

Snorfig · 02/11/2017 08:37

Weighed in this morning. 8st11lb, which at only 4'10" is borderline healthy/overweight. And 7lb over where I feel healthy and my clothes fit. Everything's a bit tight and my belly and arse are straining at my clothes.
I have a family wedding in 3 weeks and I want to have shed most of that. Logging everything but can't do much exercise today as I have a stinking cold Sad
Good luck everyone.

I'm in! Generally find 1200 ok but I'm struggling with the cold and dark night's.

Question: for those doing MFP, so you eat back your exercise calories?

buggerthebotox · 02/11/2017 11:04

nights. bastard rogue apostrophe.

Questionfromage · 02/11/2017 11:55

I'm in, just completed 30DS L1D2. Going on holiday for a few days with friends next week so won't be doing it then but committed otherwise.

Silvertap · 02/11/2017 12:21

Re eating mfp exercise cals - I do sometimes. I haven’t so far this week but I know I will probably fri/sat/sun

ColinsVeryJolly · 02/11/2017 12:26

Day 2 of beginners shred done 👍🏼

DropDeadShred · 02/11/2017 13:00

I woke up feeling ok this morning but as the day has progressed my shoulders and back are feeling progressively sore. Tonight is going to be grim though I'm holding on to the fact that it will bring me one day closer to finishing bastarding level 2

OublietteBravo · 02/11/2017 19:19

So far, so good: 30DS L1D7.

Plus another day without snacking Smile

Silvertap · 02/11/2017 19:23

I’ve done well on the calories today - well under my exercise ones.

Just flat ran out of energy to do 30ds and am about to go to bed.

I did do 14 000 steps though.

DropDeadShred · 02/11/2017 20:55

L2D2 done. I thought it was going to be horrific but it was actually way better than yesterday. I managed to do almost all of it but did have to modify the high impact cardio bits with low impact (boxing with weights) because of my injured calf muscle(s). I'm going to try and do a little more high impact each time.

The continuous planks are killer and I'm pretty sure my form isn't quite right but I went for it as best I could. I actually found it all went pretty fast and before I know it, I was able to collapse on the floor all purple and sweating.

My shoulders and back are singing now but I'm almost not dreading tomorrow's session

Firefries · 02/11/2017 22:07

So I managed to run today and I'm also doing the 16:8 eating system. It seems to work well, as I'm one too who just gets ravenous (all day) if I eat breakfast straight away in the morning. I still haven't increased my water as promised, but I'm recovering after eating some sugar for Halloween. I'll do the shred tomorrow Smile

AnotherRanger · 02/11/2017 23:03

Today went well foodwise until this evening when I had a portion of chips at the bonfire and firework display but that was instead of my tea so not great but not a disaster.
Having shredded today either as I'm attempting a climbing wall tomorrow so didn't want achey and sore legs and arms but I'm sure climbing will burn some calories plus I'm also going to the gym tomorrow.
I am proud of myself for taking DS to mcdonalds and just sitting there with my bottle of water though Grin

LiveLifeWithPassion · 03/11/2017 12:31

So far so good today. Another run (I can’t help that it’s so lovely outside!)
Definitely shred tomorrow.
Food is on target. Fingers crossed it stays in target.
Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hello.
On target with food as I have no appetite thanks to this stonking cold. I've been in bed all morning which has stopped me snacking.
Also haven't had the temptation of the office snack table.
Still can't exercise today but hoping to get back on it over the weekend.

buggerthebotox · 03/11/2017 15:30

Get well soon, snorf.

I'm.doing better today. 346 extra calories exoended expended in a long walk...

OublietteBravo · 03/11/2017 18:58

Still on track at the moment: 30DS L1D8.

Plus no snacking so far in November.

DropDeadShred · 03/11/2017 21:34

Well done everyone. Diet-wise, I'm doing low carb which I know works successfully for me so long I can stick to it (which clearly I can't all the time, hence being on this thread).

So after feeling victorious yesterday having found it not horrific, I was weirdly dreading Level 2 Day 3 this evening and really had to force myself. It was a lot harder, though I did up my weights on two of the strength moves (the ones with rowing arms). However, I was feeling quite tired and because my calves were really sore again today, I swapped all the high impact cardio with deep squats and boxing (one session with 1.5k weights).

I'm finding all the planking difficult but weirdly easier to do the Natalie moves on some of the exercises than doing the Anita moves. I think whereas Anita's feet movement are quite controlled so I really focus on how much my shoulders are killing me, Natalie's are in motion so I'm focussing on not falling on my face so much.

And those bastard ab plank things at the end make me want to throw up and collapsing on the floor when it's done is the Best Feeling Ever.

L2D4 tomorrow, then I have to have 2 rest days due to commitments on Sunday and Monday evenings. Hoping I can push myself to go hard tomorrow knowing I'll have two glorious days off!

Keep it up everyone. Your are stroooooong. This is eeeeeeasy for you!

OublietteBravo · 04/11/2017 13:03

I did a different Jillian workout this morning: BFBM. I think tomorrow will be a rest day for me.

Firefries · 04/11/2017 17:20

Ugh! No shred here! We've had sickness in the house and next to no sleep
:( I hope to be able to get back to it tomorrow.

DropDeadShred · 05/11/2017 07:19

L2D4 knocked off last night and knowing I now have 2 nights off I was able to really push myself. Definitely feeling it today.

Weirdly finding the Natalie moves easier on the plank Jack's and plank jumps than the Anita moves. I think because my hands slip on the carpet doing Anita and it's easier to readjust my hands when my legs are in motion.

Calves still tight, sore and cranky and I'm a bit worried about L3 which I hear is rather jumpy.

Next week's schedule is rather sporadic but will definitely be back on it

HartlandRoad · 05/11/2017 07:35

Hello it's me, late to the party as per usual.

Silly question everyone. The 30 day shred. Are you supposed to do 30 days consecutively?

Would someone who's eating 1200 calories/day be kind enough to give us a typical day's menu?

buggerthebotox · 05/11/2017 10:27

Here's my 1200:

Two cups tea/coffee with one sugar. 80 cals.

Three pieces toast and marmite. 240 cals.
Small dessert such as WW. Usually allow 100 calls but can be as little as 40.

Cup tea. 40.

Snack. Tea and piece toast. 120.

Dinner. Small portion say chilli. 400.
Dessert. 100.

Later. Snack up to 200 cals.

It's not a great quality diet I know. That's just an example of how I make up 1200.

HartlandRoad · 05/11/2017 19:10

Thanks bugger. No judging but, where's the veg?

buggerthebotox · 05/11/2017 19:18

Good question! I hate veg. If I eat veg, it'll be sweet corn or peas. I eat fruit on a fairly regular basis though.

I know my habits are a bit strange...
