Anyone fancy a November 30 day shred and 1200 calories?

I’m planning on doing this for November and hopefully shifting some weight and get healthier.
I’ve got other dvds too so might do some Davina or a run/walk if the weather is nice.
I want to eat better and include lots of veg and more water.
Would be good to have other people to chat to about it.

16:8 works for me too. Especially skipping/delaying breakfast.
Breakfast seems to kick start my appetite so I crave food all day long.

I don’t think I’d survive without breakfast!

WonderLime · 31/10/2017 12:19

So I just got my first period after birth and I’m a bit scared about starting exercise now.Sad I’m hoping it will ease down a bit tomorrow.

I did weigh myself today though to see what I’m starting with. I’m currently 10st 10lbs. I would like to aim for 10st 5lbs by the end of this challenge (and 10st for Christmas to get back to prebirth weight).

My main goal though is to start rebuilding my fitness. One year ago today, I had just climbed Mt Batur to watch the sunrise - today I get out of breath climbing the hill to the bus stop. Hmm

I used 30DS 6 years ago to kickstart my fitness, so I know it works. It’s just a little daunting starting from stratch again.

WonderLime · 31/10/2017 12:22

I agree about exercise kickstarting your appetite. I can happily go to lunch if I skip breakfast, but struggle to make it to 10am if I eat in the morning.

I do try to some porridge or eggs though as I actually seem to have more weight loss success when having breakfast in the morning.

Silvertap · 31/10/2017 18:20

Another day at 1272 for me.

All bran, yoghurt, blueberries,
Honey, OJ and iron supplement for breakfast.

Roasted butternut squash soup and fajita wrap and 2 plums for lunch

Beetroot and chicken risotto for tea with a low fat yoghurt.

Have done 10k steps but no excercise today. Have a Meeting tonight but from tomorrow I’m going to start the 30ds.

How’s everyone getting on?

FreshHerbs · 31/10/2017 18:28

I’m well up for this. Over the course of this year I have lost two stone but have so much left to go, I needed a boost and this thread will be great for that added extra support. My birthday is at end of month then Xmas soon as well as new year and it would be lovely to wear something fabulous for each occasion. Two many years have gone by me wishing I wasn’t a fat arse. I would like to drop half a stone in these 30 days any more would be a absolute bonus. Really happy I saw this thread. Let’s do this xxxx

HettyB · 31/10/2017 18:46

wonderlime I’m also 10st 10lb today and trying to get back to pre-birth weight by Christmas - that’s 9st 9lb for me.

titsbumfannythelot · 31/10/2017 18:48

Poor you wonder lime. 1st post partum period is awful. Congratulations on your baby.

I managed to do 1212 calories today too silver tap.

I’m going to start the exercise tomorrow, ease my lardy bum in gently.

TheABC · 31/10/2017 18:52

Another one up for this. I find it easier to simply cut the sugar rather than calorie count - same result, it just means I need to be strict with myself for a week to kick the cravings. Will get out 30DS for tomorrow morning...

OublietteBravo · 31/10/2017 19:58

My exercise motivation is holding up nicely: 30DS L1D5.

I'm really going to make an effort from tomorrow with my diet. I've been eating the Halloween sweets this evening Blush

Firefries · 01/11/2017 06:06

Started 30DS L1D1. A good start.

LiveLifeWithPassion · 01/11/2017 07:57

Take it easy Wonderlime. Start off gently when you feel up to it.

Well done Oubliette, firefries and everyone who’s got into it already.
I’ve got some free time at 10.30 to do shred. Im dreading it but I know it’s short and works!

Morning everyone!
Yesterday was a disaster however today is the 1st so a fresh start now. Food plans for today is soup for lunch and then an omelette for tea with lots of veggies in and a big salad and I plan to shred later on before tea probably.
We can do this!

LiveLifeWithPassion · 01/11/2017 11:31

I was all ready to shred at 10.30 but I suddenly had an urge to be outside. So I went for a 30 minute run instead.
It’s a really nice day today. It’s mild and I love seeing all the autumn colours in the park.
Ill Shred tomorrow.
Food wise, I’m holding out til 1pm and I’m having soup, sandwich and fruit. Dinner is chicken, veg and brown rice. Choc and herbal tea after kids are in bed and I’ve got my feet up.

Right so the dvd arrived yesterday. Have to open the packet and try it this evening now!

ColinsVeryJolly · 01/11/2017 12:24

I've just completed day 1 of beginners shred. My thighs feel all shaky now Grin

I've taken a photo this morning too, I was too scared to do it at the beginning of October when I started calorie counting but I can see the difference the 12lb loss has made 👍🏼

It'll be interesting to see the difference the shred will make over the next 30 days.

PineappleSnapple · 01/11/2017 16:53

I'm doing No S diet and going to try and do the 30DS alomgside, possibly in the morning before DD wakes up.

5ft4 and 11 stone, want to get back to 9st10lbs.

AnotherRanger · 01/11/2017 17:47

Just done day one of the shred.
I've been going to the gym for a few weeks now which has really helped with the cardio bit, I found those rounds much easier than I did when I first attempted it months ago. The strength rounds are killer though, I don't think I'll ever be able to progress to a full push up!

OublietteBravo · 01/11/2017 19:10

I've just done 30DS L1D6 and so far I've managed not to snack today. Just breakfast, lunch and a few cups of peppermint tea.

Time to go and make dinner...

Believeitornot · 01/11/2017 19:29

So quietly failing here at the shred. Our DVD player doesn’t work Blush
So have done a short routine from the net and will keep it up for 30 days

Snorfig · 01/11/2017 19:41

Can I join? I'm stuck at 7lbs over my 'fighting' weight. I know how to lose it, and have done so repeatedly, but I never keep it off now I have kids. I'm just too prone to comfort eating. Office culture is v cake oriented.
Need to get back on the salads and low carb, increase the lunchtime walks and morning runs, and shift the flab.
God knows how many of these threads I've joined and failed to keep up with in the past year Confused

Silvertap · 01/11/2017 19:51

30ds d1 done.

Kept under mfp but that is including my Fitbit cals

tiggersdontlikehoney · 01/11/2017 20:08

Can I join?
Do I need the proper Shred thing? - haven't got a DVD or DVD Player but might be able to find YouTube vids to use (can anyone advise?)

Have just figured out it's 7.5 weeks to Christmas Day. Would be happy if I could lose a stone by then (3 stone to lose in total)

Was going to start today but have scoffed loads kids Halloween sweets today and kicking myself grrr... sugar is so addictive!

Right, starting tomorrow.. aiming for no sugar, very low fat, mainly plant-based sort of diet. Another kids party to go to this weekend will be the next challenge.

titsbumfannythelot · 01/11/2017 20:40

Sugar is the devil, I’m best not starting on it or I can’t stop. I managed to avoid the mince pies in m and s today. Even though they looked very appealing.

Did day 1 of the shred today too.

DropDeadShred · 01/11/2017 21:17

I NC especially to start a shred thread as I couldn't find one the other day, but I see there is a current one. Mind if I join?

I've actually already completed Level 1 over the last 15 days and just completed D1L2 tonight. Oh my fucking God. I couldn't do all of it, my form was all over the place and I felt less fit than when I started D1L1 from nothing Sad

I'm holding on to the fact that I couldn't do all of L1 when I first started either, but managed to get there in the 10 sessions I did (even though I can only do Anita push ups) and even increased my weights on every strength move. So stands to reason I'll be able to do all of L2 by the end of it, Right?

I've lost a fair bit of weight this year, about 15kg, but am really flabby and squishy so keen to firm up and change my shape. I'm still a size 16/14 though so my primary motivation is weight loss. I want to lose a dress size by the start of December as I go away on holiday for a month and really want to feel better about myself.

So anyway, Level 2 sucks and my shoulders and back are feeling very lacking in strength now. I am also worried my pathetic wrists won't hold up to those bastard planks over the next 9 sessions. Tomorrow is going to hurt Sad
