Anyone fancy a November 30 day shred and 1200 calories?

I’m planning on doing this for November and hopefully shifting some weight and get healthier.
I’ve got other dvds too so might do some Davina or a run/walk if the weather is nice.
I want to eat better and include lots of veg and more water.
Would be good to have other people to chat to about it.

"Really"

WooWooWitchetyWoo · 29/10/2017 11:31

Yes please! Haven't done Shred for about 5 years Confused and lots of aches and niggles nowadays - not sure how much of that is fat though! I've put on a stone since summer. All my clothes are too tight and I feel awful.

I'm 12st 8 and I know the first boy will come off ok but I eat through stress, anxiety, worry, and things are pretty dire just now Sad.

Even losing a stone makes me overweight! But if I could get to 11st 3 or thereabouts, then I'd only have 7lbs to go to get to what I'd be happy with.

WooWooWitchetyWoo · 29/10/2017 11:32

I'm not really trying to lose a boy, I'm trying to lose a 'bit' Blush

LonelyOversharer · 29/10/2017 14:31

Right, 30 day shred and the 5 weeks to a 6 pack dvd's ordered for under £10. For me it's shape. I cycle a lot, so legs are fine, but tone on the rest of me is dire. Since losing 2stone earlier in the year (may-august) I went a bit empty. After 4 babies and hitting forty (one) I'm not sure how much is realistically pissible though!

LonelyOversharer · 29/10/2017 14:32

*possible!

OublietteBravo · 29/10/2017 20:59

I know it isn't November yet, but since I've already started I'm going to record my progress. Today I did 30DS L1D4.

I'm not doing so well on the not snacking though...

titsbumfannythelot · 30/10/2017 05:59

Well done for the early start. Is there an idiots guide to the exercises? Can see lots of videos online but not sure which to follow.

Also, do you do the shred every day?

Silvertap · 30/10/2017 06:19

Hello. Like others this is the third thread I’ve joined in an attempt
To lose a half stone before xmas.

Why do you all do 1200 cals? I struggle to eat less than 1600 in a day. I do about 10 000 steps on average.

I was running 10k in the spring but a very busy summer and autumn have completely let my exercise slip. 30ds will suit me as I can fit it in I think.

Going to start today even if it’s not November!

Believeitornot · 30/10/2017 06:31

When is the best time to shred? Is it noisy - I mean will the neighbours hear the thuds etc... would love to try and have fallen out of exercise for the last two months but I’m eating as if I’m training for a marathon Hmm

LiveLifeWithPassion · 30/10/2017 07:58

Well done Oubliette. I’m going to start today too.

1200 calories is what myfitnesspal gives as a weight loss guide. And people seem to have great results with it.

I can do it if I eat mostly veg and protein and a small amount of carbs (plus a small treat for around 100cals). I try to do 300 breakfast, 400 lunch, 400 dinner and 100 for a snack.
I’m always looking for inspiration so if anyone has any good lunches please share.
If I have time, I like to do lentil soups as they’re quite filling. This is a good one.

I think there are some videos online but I have the dvd.

I'd like to do this too - not able to start until the 1st (Wednesday) - has everyone already stared? For those who have done the shred before did you find it had results quite quickly? I've got a lot of weight to lose and going away at the start of December - would really like to make a difference before then,

xx

NachoAddict · 30/10/2017 11:57

I will join, just need DS to donate his x box or something for me to play the DVDs on. I have a couple of her DVDs so will do which ever one I find first.

How are you all logging your calories? MFP?

I am getting uncomfortable in size 12s so don't want to go up another size, I have gained 1st 9lb in the last year!

User5trillion · 30/10/2017 12:00

I am in. Off to find very dusty copy of shred

HettyB · 30/10/2017 12:52

Me! Me! Me!

I may not manage to shred every day (two small children) and will probably go for 1500ish calories as I’m breastfeeding, but I’ll try my best!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 30/10/2017 14:59

I might be a bit late starting (although will try to do the exercise) because I have a night out planned on Thursday and friends coming to mine for a Halloween party weekend from Friday-Sun morning. But I will start properly on Sunday.

swlondonnanny · 30/10/2017 16:13

I will join you. As long as I can do any exercise DVD? Don't have shred and I don't do any exercise right now (other than my walking) so will start with something 'easier ' if that's ok?

LiveLifeWithPassion · 30/10/2017 16:37

Hello all the new people. Yes, do any dvd or exercise. I guess it’s just a November regular exercise and diet/healthy eating accountability thread.

I’ve done well with food today but haven’t done any exercise apart from walking.

I’ve got 660 cals remaining for dinner. I’ll have some lentil curry, 2 pieces of dark chocolate and some herbal tea later.

Breakfast was an apple and banana, lunch was Covent Garden mushroom risotto and kale soup (really nice and on offer in sainsbury) with a cream cheese and salad sandwich using warburton thins.
A couple of coffees kept hunger pangs at bay.

Done well so far today. Skipped breakfast, subway salad for lunch and I'm making butternut squash soup for tea. Had a protein yoghurt and will probably have some dark chocolate and a few nuts later on. Been trampolining with DS plus also managed an hour at the gym doing some cardio.
Tomorrow will be a different story however as it's halloween so pizza and garlic bread for tea plus popcorn for films. I'll aim to stay within my TDEE then straight back into it on wednesday!

LonelyOversharer · 30/10/2017 17:49

My copy of grown up shred arrived today. I've only done beginner before, and only 2 weeks at that. I'm starting on the 1st, and logging food on mfp, as I find that easy. I can do 30 days, right? Will weigh in wednesday morning. I'm eating all the biscuits before then!

Silvertap · 30/10/2017 19:37

Well I’ve done today at under 1200 cals.

All bran, Greek yoghurt, blueberries & ok with iron supplement for breakfast.

Veg soup with ham s/w and watermelon for lunch.

One fajita, homemade coleslaw and sweet corn for the.

Was going to do a shred but have had a big fight with dh and he’s sulking in the room I do it in watching tv and I’m sulking in the bath. It’s not November right....

OublietteBravo · 30/10/2017 20:35

Exercise is going well (I've just done No More Trouble Zones - I get a bit bored if I just stick to shred).

Still snacking though - must find some willpower from somewhere!

titsbumfannythelot · 30/10/2017 21:03

Good effort!

I managed 1244 calories. I’ve downloaded the 30 day shred ready to start on Wednesday too.

MoanerChopsis · 30/10/2017 21:05

I'm in too. I desperately need to do something about my comfort eating and general laziness!

OlennasWimple · 30/10/2017 21:11

Can someone post some links to nice, varied 1200 calorie meal plans?

titsbumfannythelot · 30/10/2017 21:35

I usually try and do 16:8 intermittent fasting, so no breakfast.

Lunch soup or salad, with meat as protein fills me up for a while.

Dinner usually meat/ fish and veg.

Banana/ Greek yogurt are good snacks.
