Slenderista fitbitters - I’ve quit the challenge. I’m sorry I should have commented before cancelling. I feel really stupid about WhatsApp, I think I’m too old for this so I’ve quit. Enjoy your stepping.

QuimReaper · 16/10/2017 13:13

So sorry I vanished for a while there, I'm back and I WILL be golden!

Any sign of the kitty Donald?

TV I know it was a few days ago that you posted but I' m so sorry for your loss Flowers

About to read back properly...

ponygirlcurtis · 16/10/2017 13:32

Stay safe Therealjudgejudy - my son is in Ireland right now, in a cottage right on the Mayo coast, trying not to worry. failing

poorpaws, you are never too old,of course. Why not keep stepping? It all helps.

I have weighed in after the first low carb bootcamp, 1.75lbs down, I will take that. Smile

QuimReaper · 16/10/2017 13:39

paws I absolutely suck at WhatsApp too!

leesmum · 16/10/2017 17:56

PAWS please, please don't leave the Fitbit challenges, not the same without everyone in the gang Sad you don't have to join WhatsApp if you don't want to x

TVHubbyClaire · 16/10/2017 17:57

Hi, thank you so much for all your kind thoughts

Hoping for a more "normal " week this week then off to Edinburgh for weekend

Weight going in right direction which is nice...12st 6 today . Its been up and down over last few weeks. I really hope I can knock a few more lindas off this side of christmas. Hmm

ponygirlcurtis · 16/10/2017 19:43

It must have been a difficult time, TV, well done on keeping steady on the weight front.

HairsprayBabe · 17/10/2017 07:57

10.6 so -1lb for the month now.
Had the most golden of golden days yesterday, came in at about 800 cals and did a very sweaty hour of badminton.

KOKO

plumstone · 17/10/2017 08:47

Yesterday's dinner was interesting - one amazing slice of Lemon and olive oil cake!!! Had to go and amuse myself at the cinema due to some lost keys, and forgot that apart from the coffee shop on the ground floor they also have a cafe on the first floor. Had 30 mins to kill before the film started so had a slice of cake, as opposed to an actual dinner in the cafe!! Came out and then spent an hour debating about having dinner - decided against as would be eating for the sake of it - not actually hungry - felt quite saint like as not that long ago I would have had a burger and chips after and then spent the night wondering why I have indigestion - I am not good eating late!!!

TVHubbyClaire · 17/10/2017 09:02

My steps have gone down a bit yesterday and won't be great today. Early meeting at work and badminton this afternoonj will not get me to 10,000. Hopefully get back on it tomorrow. Looking to walk at 6.30 each morning for 30-40 mins and then if need be top up in evening. I just want to get to 10,000 ....not too worried about 15-20,000

Unfortunately my hour of badminton doesnt give me as many steps as I would hope but it is enjoyable exercise

Vietnamese and Italian are restaurants of choice for this weekend in Edinburgh and along with 3 hotel breakfasts, things could get out of hand if I'm not careful

plum - nothing wrong with cake for dinner

I'm really keen to have 12st 6 as my new max given how long I seemed to hover around 12st 8. Going down from 12st 6 will really feel like an achievement

NikiBabe · 17/10/2017 10:25

Edinburgh....swoon. Would love to go back.

Im thoroughly sick of the whole thing here. Still 10st dead. Why why cant I drive it into the 9s?

On the NSV side Ive been doing lots of weight training and am getting tougher. Can now do arm balances in yoga i couldn't do before as my muscle tone has improved.

QuimReaper · 17/10/2017 11:24

Well done on the perspective plum - the cake won't have done too much harm in itself, but it's so easy once you've " broken" the diet to think "ooh, what else can I eat..."

You're doing great TV, just not letting it all go to pot at a time like this is an achievement in itself - I'm sure when things settle down you'll be able to get back on the stepping and all that.

Niki I know this one's as old as the hills, but since you've been doing a ton of weight training, is it possible it really is muscle increase keeping your weight up? What does that boditrax thing say?

NikiBabe · 17/10/2017 11:38

Quim that is a point actually!

Looked at boditrax and whilst fat is down down down, muscle has fluctuated wildly but has gone up of late.

spookshowbaby · 17/10/2017 11:54

-2.5lbs this week taking me to 6.5 off in total this month ! Hoping you've all had a great week.

I've cut out pasta, still have potatoes and literally fill half my plate ( most of the time ) with veggies

QuimReaper · 17/10/2017 12:11

Niki Shock

It must be so motivating to have that fat mass chart to see how far you've come!

NikiBabe · 17/10/2017 13:31

@Quim it is quite cool Grin

Maybe I shouldnt focus as much on weight loss as I am losing fat steadily.

HappyGowerGirl · 17/10/2017 13:51

Wow Niki!

I appear to be stuck at 60.7kg. I have been stuck here for around three weeks now! Need to grit my teeth and keep going😬😬😬

TheDonald · 17/10/2017 17:33

Niki how do you record that? Do you have fancy scales or do you do it at the gym?

I love a graph! Would definitely keep me motivated. Do you have a target?

I am having a really good month for weight loss. I was another 1lb down this morning but I'm not counting it yet. It only counts on saturdays! It's funny how you can just keep trying and failing for months and then something just clicks and the will power kicks in!

No news on the cat Sad

TheDonald · 17/10/2017 17:35

Also I meant to say I'm also going to Edinburgh next week so I might put on all the weight I've lost this week.

Tvhubby please let me know which restaurants you recommend.

NikiBabe · 17/10/2017 17:38

@TheDonald my gym has an alll singing all dancing scale called boditrax.

The only thing I dont like is I have lost quite a bit of muscle from the start too.

TheDonald · 17/10/2017 17:44

Thanks. I don't think my gym (council leisure centre) has anything like that but I'll check.

Are there any fitbit obsessives here? I have one and it's linked to mfp. Do you eat the extra calories it gives you? I sometimes do and sometimes not. I think it's a bit generous if you've only done a bit of walking.

I usually eat them all when I've been running and more

Softpebbles · 17/10/2017 17:56

There's and interesting video about this on James Smiths PT page on FB. His videos can be quite to the point 🙈

Still hovering around 11. Haven't been well so no classes this week yet. Quite down about that but my head is banging.

KikisDeliveryService · 17/10/2017 21:52

That downward fat chart is so awesome niki

HappyGowerGirl · 18/10/2017 07:34

9.6 this morning... 60.2kg, I am so close to breaking the 60kg barrier!😬

HairsprayBabe · 18/10/2017 07:59

10.5 weekend weight almost gone, just have to keep a focus on this weekend, I might try a weekend egg fast this weekend to keep me on track, if I know I can only eat cheese eggs and diet coke I won't nibble on stuff.

Also how many times a week should I exercise? I am getting back into climbing and did badminton the other day, I think three days a week around work would give me plenty of other "down time" The other good thing about exercise is it gets me out of the house and away from the snacks!
